My husband got the General Tso chicken while I got the teriyaki chicken. Both were phenomenal! I was partial to the General Tso, I would definitely recommend both. We will definitely be returning.

I came from California today and stayed at the Holiday Inn Express across the street. I was kind of skeptical about the restaurant after reading the negative reviews which were dated years ago but I decided to give it a try. Anyway, I found the food was good given the small town location. My friend ordered the broccoli chicken and I order the family delight. They were good and the portion was generous. The prices are also very reasonable. The food here exceeded my expectation because I thought it would be the typical Chinese American taste (sweetness in every dish.) The food wasn't greasy because they didn't use any oil and used water to cook instead. The prawns were juicy and cooked just right and so did the chicken, beef and vegetables. We also ordered the hot and sour soup and it was quite spicy and tasty. Given the location, taste, service and price, I gave it a five star.

When my dad and I pulled up I didn't think anything of it; at first we didn't think it was open because there was only one car parked buuuuut let me just say this is the best Chinese food I've ever had! I totally recommend coming here!

The steamed dumplings are fantastic. The General Tso's has a perfect breading to it and the sesame chicken was the same. Both delicious.

This is my newest go to!!! We got the Cream Cheese Crab Puffs, Chicken Eggrolls, Wanton Soup, Fried rice, Orange Chicken and Chicken Lo Mein. Crab Puffs: Great portion. Sauce was so good. I didn't like the amount of cream cheese. Too much, not enough crab. Texture was great! 6/10 Chicken Eggrolls: very vegetable stuffed but in the best way. So crispy and delicious. 8/10 Wanton Soup: Arrived hot and savory. SO flavorful and delicious. 10/10 Orange Chicken: I ordered it hot & spicy! GREAT flavor, nice sized pieces, lots of sauce. 10/10 Fried Rice: Slightly above average. 8/10 Chicken Lo Mein: 7/10 Overall I got very few pics because from the time I took my first bite I couldn't stop!

Unfortunately this time it wasn't great. First off, the fried wantons they bring to the table were stale and tasted like they'd been fried in old oil. I like places that bring free stuff but don't bring something if it isn't good. I decided to step out of my comfort zone and get hot and sour soup. It was a good spice/hot but Not sure about the sour. It seemed to just be hot. For my entree I had Shrimp with Garlic sauce and white rice,. The veggies were crunchy and fresh. The shrimp was good but they didn't have that crisp snap in the bite. The sauce was sweet and garlicky. The cheese puff was very creamy, batter was okay not the best. It's just not my style. My wife had the wan ton soup. It had a good tasty broth and the wanton had a good thick wrap with a nice flavor. She didn't like her Orange Chicken. I tasted it and the chicken was okay, but the sauce was too dark and heavy. I just like my orange chicken lighter and with more orange- y- ness? She got fried rice and I thought it wasn't flavorful enough. It tasted like white rice that was coated with soy sauce and not fried enough. My daughter had a bowl of Egg Drop soup. It was very thick and eggy. The corn was a surprising addition. It was okay but would have benefited from some chili oil, which wasn't provided and we didn't ask for. Overall, the entire experience was disappointing. The service was good but the food was mediocre, the restaurant was kind of warm bordering on hot and the table felt sticky. Don't think I'll be back and that's a sad thing. I'll have to find another spot for Chinese food in the area.

Overall, it was a good experience with a few standout items and a couple areas that could be improved. I ordered the shrimp with lobster sauce and steamed shrimp dumplings. The shrimp with lobster sauce was definitely the highlight...very flavorful, generous portion of shrimp, and I really enjoyed the texture from the egg whites. I could have done without the imitation lobster, but it didn't take away too much from the dish. The steamed shrimp dumplings were just okay. Not bad by any means, but they didn't stand out compared to others I've had. The fried rice was tasty, though I did miss having the traditional vegetables mixed in. Service is where there's some room for improvement. I was the only dine-in customer at the time, and my water was never refilled during the visit. Overall, I enjoyed the food and would come back to try more dishes. With a few small tweaks, this place could easily become a go-to spot.

We spent about $60, and unfortunately... this was one of the most disappointing meals we've had in a while. The food tasted old across the board. The egg rolls were burnt, the sweet and sour chicken was dry and flavorless, and the General Tso's chicken was soggy and overly sweet. The only things even remotely edible were the lo mein and fried rice. To make things worse, the service didn't match the price point. For a $60 order, we were given just four soy sauce packets, no plasticware, and no fortune cookies. When I asked for more soy sauce, sriracha, and duck sauce, I was initially given barely anything had to ask again and explain I had a full meal to feed. They eventually brought more, but still no fortune cookies. My husband and I eat out often because of our schedules, and we don't mind spending money on good food but this was not it. I had really high hopes because it's hard to find solid Chinese food in the Spring area, and I was hoping this could become a go-to spot. Unfortunately, it won't be. If I weren't so tired, I would've called back to complain but I just didn't have the energy. Chalking this one up as a loss and doing better next time. Would not return and I wouldn't trust the good reviews either. ‼‼

Service was spot on, quick, and we got our food in what felt like maybe a few minutes. We started off with pork dumplings for the kiddo, which he INHALED in moments. For entrees, we split the orange chicken and the Spicy/Numbing Pot. The orange chicken was spot on. The sauce was sweet but not painfully sweet or thick/clumpy. Really nice orange flavor and tender chicken. So much fun eating it since it is gluten free! Our kiddo also devoured this dish! Mild - not spicy at all! The Spicy Numbing Pot, while a little oily/greasy on the bottom, was still delicious! I appreciated that it wasn't knock your socks off spicy - it had a solid kick, and so flavorful. I love eating dishes with Sichuan Pepper; it has a lot of flavor, and the tingling is so much fun. This dish was perfect with some rice, and it wasn't too heavy for the middle of the day. The prices were really reasonable, and there was enough food for leftovers which we ate later that night. Our only regret is not getting the duck appetizer, but we will be sure to get it next time. We can't wait to go back, and Tiger Noodle will happily be in regular rotation for our family! You can't go wrong!

Everything I got on the buffet was super mid, borderline, yucky. I think buffets are really just hard things to do correctly in general. But then, during the pandemic, they switched to made-to-order and it's like the clouds parted and shined blessings upon them. One of my friends told me to give them another chance after the switch and I'm so glad she did! Despite how Americanized-Chinese they are, their dishes are great! The only thing that kept me from writing a review earlier is that I really dislike sweet entrees. I don't like orange chicken. Why do I want a dessert for my meal? Why would I want a sweet protein? Even my go-to Chinese-American curry dish at Golden Imperial is pretty sweet. Part of that has to do with the fact that the only vegetable they use in the curry is onion (where are the silky smooth potatoes and carrots that are usually in Chinese curry?!), but I thought it was still passable compared to everything else. And then I ordered salt and pepper tofu. I'm not a vegetarian anymore, but I still appreciate a tofu or vegetable dish, so if I'm getting take out, I usually order one meat, one veggie. Oh. My. God. The S&P tofu... So savory, so tangy, so much umami (y'all know that MSG is amazing, right? It's not unhealthy! That was just racist propaganda). It's addicting. I can't wait to have it again even though I was absolutely stuffed after both times I ate the one entree I ordered (Golden Imperial portions aren't cheap but they are filling - you can get at least 2 meals out of one order - I wouldn't pay almost $20 per entree if I couldn't stretch it). So, this is all to say, if you want Asian food that doesn't taste like it could've been on the menu at Baskin Robbins, explore what Golden Imperial has to offer. While I'm disappointed by the curry, I still like it. And the Salt and Pepper tofu just taught me that I need to see what other gems they have to offer. If you know what Homer Simpson daydreaming about a donut looks like, that's me thinking about the next time I can get S&P tofu. Yay Golden Imperial! Please keep it up and if you can, tell us which things on the menu aren't full of sugar. It would really help change what's on your "popular" list. Americans, especially small town Americans, just aren't adventurous when it comes to food. Tell us what to try and we'll try it but if you don't, we're just gonna order what we always order or what is on the menu at that drive-thru "Chinese" place. You're better than that! You're a hometown hero. We want to support you.
