Do NOT bother with these people. They are rude and discrimination against people on energy assistance, rude office manager, rude owner. When confronted about the bad experience while dealing with an emergency with a disabled child in freezing weather, they didn't care. If a company agrees to a contract with the state, and they have issues with that contract, then they should never take it out on people already in hardship and put them on the back burner. They even went as far as lying about my mother being rude to them in the past when I've witnessed first Hans her simply calling them to get an idea of when to expect heat. We're off energy assistance after this year and NEVER dealing with these selfish business owners and the slander ever again. Take your business elsewhere. No stars if we had our way!! read more

My mother's intuition told me to have our furnace looked over right before the recent stretch of frigid air. Sure enough the igniter needed replacing. Adam arrived, diagnosed the problem and offered to show me the problem part, replaced it and left prior to our predicted arrival time! Can't thank the entire staff at Yankee Oil enough for the thoughtful and thorough care given to our system and special needs household. Very rude office staff, including the person in charge. The secretary or whoever she is, went on a tangent about my roommate being rude and disrespectful. She needed help about getting oil through them via a state agency! That is all! Where had her mannerisms coming into focus appear from?! Just ridiculous considering my roommate had no issues with this company in the past. Even getting assistance from the manager/owner proved to be a fruitless waste of time. Is this because people in hardship are looked down upon?! Is this their idea of proper customer etiquette? Would never deal with this company ever again. We have been a customer of Yankee Oil for well over 30 years... and never had anything but excellent service. We recently call them on the day before Thanksgiving cuz we had no heat and they came right out and were very pleasant, fixed our problem. We told them we were sorry had to call them at night and they said that was okay..... not a problem at all... then a few weeks later had the problem again, at nite and they came right out... they checked everything out and found out we need to replace the furnace. It was 30 years old. It took a few days to get the Furnace.. they came out with 4 guys and had the furnace in and running in about 4 hours..They did an excellent job and were nothing but very pleasant.. Explained all about the new furnace. This job had to be done in a crawl space.. We are extremely happy with our service and we would highly recommend them to anyone else. read more

I am very disappointed in this company. I had a furnace installed in Dec 2022. It took an arm and a leg to finally get things going and get a furnace installed. 2 weeks after installation I called and had a tech come out because it was too hot. The tech found that I needed a new damper motor. He called while I was talking to him and said that the motor would be in, in 2 days and that as soon as they got it they would come put it in. Well 3 weeks went by so I called to ask if the part came in. The office person (a woman) said when the part comes in someone will call you, no other explanation ( an in a snotty attitude). So here it is March 18th and still no word about the part. I realize that things are busy in the winter, but no communication ever happens with this company. They have no people skills at all. A little communication on there part would do wonders for this company. It's almost like they only want to do the jobs they like, or that cost alot so they make alot. I already bought a furnace and spent alot, so this part means nothing to them. read more

The pros at Yankee Oil have serviced my second home in eastern CT for years with dependable oil deliveries and the occasional repair and cleaning. Recently, we bit the bullet and replaced a heating system that lived through one too many presidencies and replaced it with a brand new heating system. We knew we'd save money with our new burner, but we didn't know that the process would be so simple and painless! Before we knew it, we had a state of the art system that didn't break the bank. I've been using Yankee Oil for about 2 years now, and have had 2 heating systems installed by them (I have 2 houses). They are professional and courteous, while very fair with their prices on both oil and services. I have yet to be disappointed by their timeliness or job completion. I am only giving 1 star so that I can write a review on how rude these folks are. I called to see if I could get oil delivered and was asked what my current address was then asked where I got my oil from. I was then told ridely that they wouldn't be delivering to me because I didn't have them deliver my oil last with a horrible attitude. Not ro.mentiom the woman hung up on me when I said I wasn't a current client. So even though I'm in the system because I get oil from them time to time, they wouldn't even speak to me because I'm not a current client. RUDE! Never giving them any business again and would not recommend them to anyone!!! Stay away!! read more
