Yesterday, Ryan, Orson, and I walked about 15 minutes from our hotel to Yard House specifically for happy hour. I have visited Yard House many times in Austin and have always enjoyed it, but this Los Angeles location was a completely different experience. When we arrived, we were told that happy hour had been canceled because of an event at a nearby arena. Nothing on the location's webpage indicated that happy hour would be unavailable that day. Had we known beforehand, we probably would have chosen another restaurant instead of walking there specifically for the advertised prices. The food was the best part of the experience. All three of us ordered the nachos, and they were absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, the service was extremely inattentive. After receiving our initial drinks, we waited a long time for our waiter to return and take our food order. During the meal, all three of us ran out of water and our other drinks while several employees stood near the beverage station talking. Our waiter was nowhere to be found, and no one else stopped to check on us. Eventually, I walked over to the beverage station and asked whether I could get a pitcher of water. I was told they could not leave a pitcher at the table but would refill our glasses. An employee brought one over and filled our waters, but I should not have needed to leave the table and ask for something that basic. When our waiter finally returned, I specifically explained that we drink a lot of water and asked him to please keep an eye on our glasses. My biggest restaurant pet peeve is sitting with an empty drink--especially when employees are standing nearby. I appreciate restaurants where the staff works as a team and anyone who notices an empty glass helps the guest, regardless of whose table it is. That sense of teamwork was missing here. My final bill was approximately $25.50 for nachos, one Dr Pepper, and water. The nachos cost about $18 instead of the advertised happy-hour price, and the nearly $5 Dr Pepper was never refilled. The nachos were excellent, but the unavailable happy hour, lack of notice on the website, and extremely inattentive service overshadowed the food. Went to Yard House two days in a row to escape sky-rocketing (Anime Expo) convention prices! Yard House is typically packed and it was especially packed this past weekend. Although, I think it's important to note that we had an anticipated wait of over 40min each day and were seated within 15min both days. Major probs to the staff for managing the crowds this weekend. This isn't the place for a cute date, but it IS the spot to hang out for a game. The place is covered in screens, which was perfect for our group when we wanted to watch the World Cup in between AX panels. It's quite loud in here, but that makes it just that much more fun when your team scores! Expect to spend at least $20 on comically large, shareable appetizers, and pleasant tasting entrees. You'll definitely be full whatever you order. Day one, I tried the nachos and boneless wings (buffalo and korean chili crisp). Came here for late lunch after boys volleyball tournament at the convention center with a group of 23 or so people. Did have to wait around 20 min for a table which is understandable considering the VB tournament and the World Cup happening. Orders were taken promptly after being seated and drinks came out fairly quickly afterwards. Food also followed at a typical pace with multiple servers trying to get the food out as close together as possible. The only improvement here after working as a server myself for years is to have an idea who the food belongs to before delivering. It was hard to hear and walking back and forth loudly asking who had the Chicken Avocado or the Poke bowl etc could have been more efficient. Our large group is pretty good at hollering down the table to help figure it out and just happy to all get our food and I'm sure that was more expeditious than every server looking to see where it went. I had the Grand Patron Margarita no salt - it was correct the first time as 70-80 percent of the time I get one with salt and that made me quite happy. The fact it was in a short glass instead of a tall glass and overly sweet was perfect. A great margarita! I wanted something very small and ordered the "Small" Cobb salad without bacon. Again, great job with the modification and no bacon! I had to double check it was a small salad as it was more than plenty for me. I love love love this salad! Plenty of great goodies on top to last the entire salad including edamame and avocado. It didn't seem lacking at all even with the bacon missing. My son had the BBQ bacon burger and loved it. Great bun, perfect burger, perfect for my teen guy! Everyone else also commented on their food, flavor, and great menu choices. There was just one mix up with Chicken Alfredo for another cChicken Alfredo item on the menu, it was quickly resolved and all good! This is a great location for large groups as they can accommodate and likely are set up to do it often given the location at LA Live. I don't care for having to use the kiosk when paying. While it does make it easy to separate the checks by each of us finding our own items, it took a bit of time as it got passed down the table and instructions to skip the survey and put it back on "select individual items" for the next person. I feel like someone in our group requested this as they've been to Yard House before, so no ding from me.. I just have a strong aversion to the kiosks everywhere we dine. This IS the gathering place for any Anime Expo. It is hands down sometimes the easiest place to find and run into mutuals or make new friends instead of at the actual convention center itself, especially since many times you walk past it to get to the con from lot parking or to get by through LA Live. We came here on Saturday of the convention to have an early lunch and the wait was only 10 minutes instead of the estimated 20 which was really nice. Our server was courteous and checked up on us multiple times. You can order via the little tablet on the table and you can pay through it and answer a survey on it as well. Or you can just order from your server. We got the: 1) Onion Ring Tower: -It's beer battered with a dash of parmesan and chipotle ranch and buttermilk ranch for dipping. Standard onion rings but both of the ranch sauces had a bit of sweetness to it that I didn't enjoy that much since the onions also have a natural sweetness to it too. 2) Classic Sliders: -Comes with 4 flat griddled beef patties, cheddar, their special sauce, all on a toasted brioche bun, with a pickle spear and a side of their house fries. -Sauce added some sourness to the sliders and the patty meat was pretty dry. Reminded me of tires. We were hungry so we killed it, but in any other situation, it's very mediocre. Fries were normal and alright, thought a tad salty. 3) 4 Cheese Spinach Dip: -We definitely did not get enough chips with this since there's leftover 4 cheese, but we dipped our fries into this since we were waiting so long for the ketchup. -Solid appetizer. Our friend got a pizza to demolish himself and that was eaten. Everything at the start went pretty quickly, but towards the middle and the end you can tell that the strain was showing on the servers. It took quite some time to flag them down to get more water refills and a bottle of ketchup. It got even busier after we left and I'm thinking they definitely need to over staff for AX weekend since it's also July 4th. It's still the classic AX gathering spot. My fiancée and I had a little outing a couple of days ago. We decided to go to Yard House for a couple of drinks and food around 4-5 p.m. We got seated pretty quickly, and we got our waitress. Unfortunately, when we checked the bill, we saw they charged her for a completely different margarita than what we ordered. Slightly more expensive. But we let it be. For our entrees, I went with their 20oz Bone-in Ribeye medium well. When I got my steak, it looked promising, had a nice sear to it. Unfortunately, looks can be deceiving. The steak was perfectly cooked, but unfortunately, it was lacking flavor, hardly any seasoning on my steak. Thankfully, they gave me steak sauce, and that made up for it. Just dipped and bite. My fiancée got the Fontina Vodka Penne. I took a couple of bites of her plate, mainly because she was saying her plate was over-seasoned. The pasta was nicely cooked, but the chicken 100% was over-seasoned, unfortunately, making the plate hard to enjoy. We finished our food, our drinks.. Remember our waitress? I live directly across the street and have been a loyal customer, ordering from this location at least four times per week. Despite spending hundreds of dollars here over time, it is clear that customer loyalty means absolutely nothing to this establishment. My order was placed well in advance, yet I waited approximately 20 minutes after arriving for pickup. The receipt itself shows the order was placed around 2:30 p.m., and by the time I received it, nearly an hour had passed. Waiting is one thing. Poor service and a complete lack of concern is another. What is even more frustrating is that the order was still incorrect. If I pay for extra chicken, I expect extra chicken. If I request extra lettuce, I expect extra lettuce. These are simple requests and items that I am paying for. What separates good restaurants from bad ones is not whether mistakes happen--mistakes happen everywhere. The difference is how management responds. Restaurants like Lazy Dog and Lucky Strike understand that if a customer has a bad experience, management steps in, apologizes, and makes a genuine effort to correct the issue so the customer returns in the future. That did not happen here. No apology. No accountability. No effort to make things right. Just attitude and indifference. As an attorney, I pay attention to details and patterns. This was not an isolated incident. This was the latest in a long series of disappointing experiences. At some point, repeated mistakes become a reflection of management and the culture they allow. There are far too many businesses that appreciate their customers for me to continue supporting one that clearly does not. I will be taking my business elsewhere The issue is not just the food. The issue is the customer service. To the employees working the front: customer service starts with greeting customers politely and professionally. Customers should not feel like they are inconveniencing staff simply by placing an order or asking about an order they paid for. It's been a while since I've been to a Yard House. I stopped by this one around 4pm on AX weekend, and surprisingly, it wasn't too bad. The wait time wasn't too bad at all, as there was no wait. I always forget the name, since I don't come often and it isn't listed on the menu...but I got the chicken nachos, and substituted the nachos chips with fries. I love how, even though it is just a starter, it could quite literally be a whole meal! The serving size was quite generous as it was served on basically one of the largest plates I've seen. I ended up taking about 2/3 of the dish back with me as we just couldn't finish it. The fish is loaded with a base layer of fries, and very noticeably loaded with a bunch of chicken and cheese. The plate comes out to you hot, as I believe they bake everything together on the plate, so everything comes out piping hot. Overall, the food was as I remember it, not sure I'd drive all the way to this location, but would stop by if I'm in the area and found decent parking...as parking here was quite the feat. read more

We stopped through this restaurant after leaving a concert at Crypto Arena on our way to our hotel for the evening. I was starving and we go to Yardhouse quite often at home and know what I like. I ordered the Margherita Pizza, the hubs got the chicken nachos, and the kids got a cheese pizza and the poke nachos. Everyone enjoyed their meals except me. Out of the 8 or so slices of my pizza 2 of them had absolutely nothing on them. I'm talking NO sauce, NO cheese, NO basil, NOTHING! I was pissed and since it was so late, the restaurant was already closed so I couldn't go back and complain. We stay at the same hotel every time we attend a concert at Crypto and this Yardhouse is so close that we often go here either before or after a concert so I'm quite disappointed. LA Live Parking was $40 for 2:45 mins!! Yard House doesn't validate on weekends - what??!! Inconceivable!! We went early on a Saturday around 4 pm. Food and service were good. No Happy Hour prices but we were happy with drinks and nachos since it was just time for us to catch up after the holidays. 2 beers (reg size), 2 sours, 2 cocktails and chicken nachos were $101. Not an issue. Parking however was $40 a piece. Basically making a less than 3 hour get-together around $100. Can't believe Yard House doesn't validate on the weekends. Ridiculous. Only gave them 3 stars because the service was great. Because it was WAAAYYY overpriced for drinks and 1 appetizer when the parking was added in to the total. We would NOT go again unless it was to a restaurant that validates at LA LIVE - so not Yard House. read more

Food is prepared well in this Yard House location. Wings are crunchy and tasty. Steak comes medium rare just as we requested, it's great. Salmon has a slight crunch on the outside but is tender inside. Shiitake garlic noodle is delicious, slightly sweet but it works well with the garlicky sauce. I like it. So many different kinds of beer to choose from, I just wish they serve them in chilled glasses. Service is good as the way it should be. Great place to watch games with friends and family. read more
