I stopped by the Yard House for takeout and I was super impressed with the staff. Charisma took my order and she was absolutely wonderful. I don't think I have been to a restaurant in a long time with someone who has such a warm disposition and gives such great customer service. She helped me with my meal and even checked with the chef on an item to see if it was GF. This IS the gathering place for any Anime Expo. It is hands down sometimes the easiest place to find and run into mutuals or make new friends instead of at the actual convention center itself, especially since many times you walk past it to get to the con from lot parking or to get by through LA Live. We came here on Saturday of the convention to have an early lunch and the wait was only 10 minutes instead of the estimated 20 which was really nice. Our server was courteous and checked up on us multiple times. You can order via the little tablet on the table and you can pay through it and answer a survey on it as well. Or you can just order from your server. We got the: 1) Onion Ring Tower: -It's beer battered with a dash of parmesan and chipotle ranch and buttermilk ranch for dipping. Standard onion rings but both of the ranch sauces had a bit of sweetness to it that I didn't enjoy that much since the onions also have a natural sweetness to it too. 2) Classic Sliders: -Comes with 4 flat griddled beef patties, cheddar, their special sauce, all on a toasted brioche bun, with a pickle spear and a side of their house fries. -Sauce added some sourness to the sliders and the patty meat was pretty dry. Reminded me of tires. We were hungry so we killed it, but in any other situation, it's very mediocre. Fries were normal and alright, thought a tad salty. 3) 4 Cheese Spinach Dip: -We definitely did not get enough chips with this since there's leftover 4 cheese, but we dipped our fries into this since we were waiting so long for the ketchup. -Solid appetizer. Our friend got a pizza to demolish himself and that was eaten. Everything at the start went pretty quickly, but towards the middle and the end you can tell that the strain was showing on the servers. It took quite some time to flag them down to get more water refills and a bottle of ketchup. It got even busier after we left and I'm thinking they definitely need to over staff for AX weekend since it's also July 4th. It's still the classic AX gathering spot. I have absolutely no complaints about the food. The food was very good. I got the spicy jambalaya. My husband got the sirloin steak. Me and him both shared the sliders with fries. The only thing that made my experience a bit unpleasant was the wait times to get our food. But this was understandable because of the Sabrina Carpenter concert that was happening that night. We were seated within 5 minutes. But waiting for the food and drinks took a long time. We had to wait about 40 minutes before getting our food delivered. Our waiter took forever to come and ask us for our drinks (one pint beer and a club soda) that luckily we used the small kiosk at the table that we were able to order our food. The hostess was nice and accommodated our request for 2 to sit at booth by windows which are for bigger parties. Marquis, our server, was attentive and let us sample the beers we were considering. No Happy Hour prices but we were happy with drinks and nachos since it was just time for us to catch up after the holidays. 2 beers (reg size), 2 sours, 2 cocktails and chicken nachos were $101. Not an issue. Parking however was $40 a piece. Basically making a less than 3 hour get-together around $100. Can't believe Yard House doesn't validate on the weekends. Ridiculous. Only gave them 3 stars because the service was great. Because it was WAAAYYY overpriced for drinks and 1 appetizer when the parking was added in to the total. It's been a while since I've been to a Yard House. I stopped by this one around 4pm on AX weekend, and surprisingly, it wasn't too bad. The wait time wasn't too bad at all, as there was no wait. I always forget the name, since I don't come often and it isn't listed on the menu...but I got the chicken nachos, and substituted the nachos chips with fries. I love how, even though it is just a starter, it could quite literally be a whole meal! The serving size was quite generous as it was served on basically one of the largest plates I've seen. I ended up taking about 2/3 of the dish back with me as we just couldn't finish it. The fish is loaded with a base layer of fries, and very noticeably loaded with a bunch of chicken and cheese. The plate comes out to you hot, as I believe they bake everything together on the plate, so everything comes out piping hot. Overall, the food was as I remember it, not sure I'd drive all the way to this location, but would stop by if I'm in the area and found decent parking...as parking here was quite the feat. read more

Salmon has a slight crunch on the outside but is tender inside. Shiitake garlic noodle is delicious, slightly sweet but it works well with the garlicky sauce. I like it. I had such a great time/experience dining at Yard House. So for starters parking is free for 2 hours! Plus especially in DTLA (parking) is a challenge. Now, the service as soon as we entered the establishment the most energetic greeting ever( ). As we were being seated in our booth the ambiance beautiful. The waitress Cat was awesome. She was so attentive and friendly. Loved her customer service. The food was outstanding. I ordered the "Spicy Tuna Stack!" I ordered the Margherita Pizza, the hubs got the chicken nachos, and the kids got a cheese pizza and the poke nachos. Everyone enjoyed their meals except me. Out of the 8 or so slices of my pizza 2 of them had absolutely nothing on them. I'm talking NO sauce, NO cheese, NO basil, NOTHING! I was pissed and since it was so late, the restaurant was already closed so I couldn't go back and complain. We stay at the same hotel every time we attend a concert at Crypto and this Yardhouse is so close that we often go here either before or after a concert so I'm quite disappointed. Came during lunch time while attending Anime Expo. The host ignored us for a bit before deciding we were worthy of her time. We didn't want to sit outside in the patio and told her we wanted a booth. She told us it would be a 10 minute wait. After 10 minutes, a line started to form. She then took us to the high table near the bar. The restaurant was 50% filled. The host plobbed down the menu and left before we could tell her we waited for a booth. Immediately after we got to our high table, another party was taken to the booth....We had to flag down a waitress, she had to get the host, the host took us back to the front and had us wait again. Why was getting a seat soo complicated when the restaurant wasn't full? We finally got a booth. The waitress came shortly after to take our order. The waitress was very friendly and talkative. We ordered the full size Ahi Tuna Crunchy salad for $21.99 and BLT Sandwich with Fries for $20. The Ahi Tuna Crunchy salad had too much sauce and was not filling. Left hungry. The BLT sandwich was good. The fries were too salty. Hated the experience with the host. Enjoyed talking to the waitress. The food was alright, sort of what you expect from a franchise. I really like Yardhouse. So I've been to this location more than a few times now to give a proper review. Their service is pretty good. The people that work there are nice and helpful. The food always comes out fairly quick, even if I have a large party size. It is dimly lit. Seating is available inside and outside. The bathrooms are nice. Parking is available in the structure at LA Live and across the street in the lot. Happy Hour has great deals but is only available Monday-Friday from 3pm-6pm, and from Sunday-Wednesday 10pm-closing on drinks only. Appetizers: the Calamari is always a hit or miss so I'd give it like a 7/10. I really enjoy their Chicken Nachos. So flavorful and delicious 10/10. Sometimes I add steak to them. Came here after the sparks game yesterday. There was a line but the wait was less than 10 mins. And the host said our waiters are just coming in getting situated. Red flag lol I've been to yardhouse plenty of times but maybe only this location once and probably the last if there's any event happening nearby. 5:18pm got sat i know this because they text it to you, no one came til the table til 5:42 pm even as a ton of waiters and staff passed by and I'm looking around for our waiter. Christina stepped in and said she'd take over since she saw my head on a swivel wondering if we'd ever be given waters or anything. Stopped in for lunch because it was conveniently next door to our hotel. Atmosphere is loud and boisterous and all the tvs had some sort of sports on. Great place if you want to go watch a game. Large menu with lots of food and beer options. We ordered some apps/sides to share. Everything was good, but the pretzel was our favorite. Staff was great and even asked if the food was ok when he noticed I didn't each much of my salad. When I told him we were just stuffed he changed the bill to side salad to save us a few bucks which was very thoughtful and honestly great service! We have been to a few Yard Houses in other states but I will say this one was pretty good. We got there roughly around 8 or 9, and got seated quickly. It was really busy in there. Our waiter was helpful providing us recommendations for beer for my bf and our friends. I got a sangria and the Korean fried chicken tacos with sweet potato fries, my bf got a burger and our friends got the lobster garlic noodles. Everything tasted amazing, we've had the lobster garlic noodles before, I loved it but my bf said it was too much garlic. It was very cheesy and a large burger. It comes with regular fries, but I upgraded for two dollars to the Parmesan truffle fries and they went so well together.
