They play good music, and have a wide variety of alcohol for those who drink. They have lots of T.V's for those of you who like sports! I have been to this location many times with friends and other celebratory occasions and the atmosphere and food have been great. I always order the ahi tuna poke bowl as an appetizer and look forward to it every time I go. My less than stellar rating of the Yard House is due to this item being removed from the menu. Many of my friends got hooked on this poke bowl and were equally upset when it wasn't offered anymore. Please bring this appetizer back. It was the perfect portion and the perfect price and well enjoyed by many. read more

First time coming in last night, came in for a birthday. Our waitress was Marsha. Now I understand by the end of the night your staff must be very exhausted and tired from working a long day. But Marsha was very rude. She told my friend she had a cock for him to suck. Then as we proceeded to light our friends birthday candle, she ran over yelled I'm taking that , ripped the candle out of the cake and dumped the candle into my glass of sweet tea. We asked for the check and after a 10 minute wait we asked again before we finally got the check for our appetizers. First, I really hate when reviewers judge a restaurant solely by the experience of a bad server. Bad servers exist in every restaurant, so are we giving every restaurant bad reviews? Not likely. The Yard House has some GREAT servers, and some should-probably-find-a-new-profession servers. Seriously, what restaurant doesn't? But to give a two or three star rating because some sever screwed up an order is nonsense. Now, I can only base my rating on two things: lunch, and vegetarian meals. I have no idea how the dinner rush looks as 2 pm is the latest I've been there. But, the lunch rush on a Saturday can be just as busy as the dinner rush. I feel the Yard House handles being busy well, kitchen wise. We never felt as though we didn't receive our orders in a timely manner. We typically start with the fried Brussels sprouts, served over a white sauce. It's fattening, so we ask for the sauce on the side, and we get it with sauce on the side. Next, the vegetarian options are something no one else has. Granted, you can buy these same meals and any reputable grocery store (it's the Gardein brand), but, come on, lets face it; we're at a restaurant because we want someone ELSE to make us food. And they make the food well. I get the orange chicken each time, and my wife generally gets the chicken tenders. Making vegetarian food is tricky; in no time flat, it can take on the texture of fried pudding. Not appealing whatsoever. But, the kitchen staff of the Yard House has yet to get it wrong. They have, like, hundreds of beer options, and for the most part, the servers know enough about them to recommend one. But, again, there's a ton of beers, and it's not surprising if I ask about one obscure beer, and they can't tell me much about it. I would absolutely recommend the Yard House to anyone, particularly vegetarians; vegetarians who are tired of eating out with friends and having to create something "just without the meat." read more

My first experience with Yard House was in Las Vegas, and enjoyed the experience we would definitely return in Las Vegas, I have been here a few times it is ok but $6.50 for a draft beer, the prices are High, and food is not great, it is good, parking is a nightmare unless you park in garage at cap-trust. I was excited to try yardhouse because a friend had told me the one in Denver was great. I was not impressed with this one in Raleigh. First of all the service was slow...it took about 10 minutes to get our drinks. The chicken nachos for an appetizer were the best part. They were really tasty. I've been here for lunch twice (the tomato bisque is excellent), and my husband and I went for dinner and drinks last night. We were told it would be about a 45 minute wait, so we headed to the bar. Noah is an awesome bartender....knowledgeable about the many beers, cocktails and appetizers. He recommended a beer that my husband loved, and the coconut shrimp, which was awesome. He made us feel like we were his only customers, and given that the place was packed, that is really saying something. Our table was ready in about 20 mins, so we had to move ourselves to a booth. I asked the hostess for help (because we had just been served drinks and appetizers so there was a lot to relocate), and surprisingly, she said we could take our time moving everything. Hmmmm....... Anyway, dinner was excellent, too. The sweet potato fries were addictive and my husband loved his jambalaya. They have quite a bit of seating (although if it's the weekend or evening expect a wait!) and tv's everywhere. The menu has some unique items, although in my opinion not that great. This is the rudest staff in Raleigh. we were chastised for sitting at a bartable without speaking to the hostess. We were corrected for putting two tables together. We were chastised for not having the grain on the two tables facing in the same direction. I kid you not. I was with six business professionals in business attire and all over 45 years old and every person at the table was carded for beer. The sad thing is that I feel certain the staff was acting in the exact manner which they have been trained. We drank 2 beers each and then went and spent $700 across the street. I love this place. Their beer selection is top notch. Our party had the Black Truffle Burgers, Mac and cheese, and the Gorgonzola Burger amongst other things. All our meals were wonderful. Not much to say about the beer list since that is their specialty but I will say we let the waiter recommend 2 after describing the styles we liked and he was spot on. The food was top quality as well, we had an ahi tuna salad, it was a little salty but not to much to enjoy it. A pepper jack burger which was perfect had the truffle fries with it which were good. Our son had a bbq pizza also good. Overall great experience, the 4stars are because it wasn't perfect I.e. Went here with a large group for a birthday dinner, Saturday 9/10/16. Let me start by saying the service was terrible - our waitress' name was Haleigh. Every time we ordered drinks, it took a solid 15+ minutes each time to come to the table, we also all ordered water with our drinks and had to ask several times before she brought some, had to ask for refills every time we ran out. She never checked our table after food was delivered and overall was just slow and disorganized. She did apologize at the end of the night for 'all the issues', which is good gesture and all, but my complaint to the company is on a busy Saturday night they need some wait staff with some real experience. I'm just not a fan of having to flag people down and beg for service. We started with the Onion Rings Tower appetizer. Onion rings were pretty good, breading was very light, maybe wish they were a little more crispy but the onions themselves were tender making for a clean bite and the jalapeno ranch that they came with was good. I had the Short Rib Korean Tacos. They were DELICIOUS, but very small, and for $13 you only get 2 of those tiny glorious bad boys. The portion of beans were literally served in a dipping dish (like something you would get ketchup/ranch in) so you can imagine how small the portions were. My girlfriend had the crispy chicken sandwich, she said it was good (I did not try it, but I must say both sandwich and side portions were rather large, wish I had ordered a sandwich instead of tacos).. Their fries are an extremely thin shoe-string style, unique and good. My sister's burger was overcooked (no pink at all left) but I had a bite and it was still juicy, flavor OK. Everyone else at our table seemed to enjoy the food without complaint. I can't forget to mention, the beer selection is amazing! They had lots on tap, including lots of beers from local breweries. They was cold, head/pour was on point. Overall, food here is solid, beers are aplenty, but the service really needs work. read more
