Bountiful and crispy fish; really good fries... uh... chips!
    George D.

The perfect spot to grab some fish and chips and watch the Habs lose yet again to the 'Canes! The wait was long, but got a great seat in front of one of the many wall-to-wall big screen TVs. Excellent fish, hot crispy fries, and a very good array of beer to go with it. Attentive and friendly service checked in right in the sweet spot of not to often and not to long.

Came here for breakfast and was really impressed with the quality of the food! Also the prices are very reasonable for the size of the portions. We sat outside which was nice but part of the outside seating is not covered in the sun got brutal, I feel like they should put some kind of fabric over that section.

This is a great place to come watch sports and just get some bar food. I got the Craft club sandwich and it was hefty. As you can see from the picture it's very well filled. The sweet potato fries were slightly soggy, which is why I'm taking off one star. The sandwich itself was delicious. I love that they also give you a pickle spear because the acidity balances out the heaviness of the sandwich and fries. This spot does tend to get busy if there's a big game going on so if you plan to sit with a larger party, I would get there earlier.

Asked if they could do a shrimp po boy (not on menu) and they did it fantastically! No problem at all! Service was great and food is always delicious. Seriously haven't found a bad thing on the menu and I've tried just about everything!

We recently tried CPH for dinner with the family. We all got something different and I think we were all a little surprised. My daughter got the quesadillas. The portion size was great and she was able to get two meals out of it and she really enjoyed them. Our son got the spaghetti and meatballs. He felt his meal was just ok but was also able to get two meals which for him is very rare as he is am a to e 13 year old. My husband had the meatloaf and was surprised by it- another two mealer! I got a burger and while I couldn't finish it either it was cooked perfectly and honestly felt like just a good burger We don't eat at a lot of "pub" food establishments but if we do have that craving again will keep this in mind!

Service on point thanks to Emily. Ruben sandwich not so much. For $19 put some meat on the thing. $4 for an ice tea is a rip. Been here several times, not happy with this visit, $23 lighter.

Adding to prior reviews again since I live in another state but keep finding myself wanting to visit here of all places in the area. I called ahead and spoke with Rafi just to confirm someone could wait on me on the patio as it's raining cats n dogs and I was afraid I'd be a bother, but of course she was friendly and accommodating and walked me back upon arriving. So pleasant and happy, she was. I had my dogs with me which made it a no-brainer to come back here given the full-sized covered patio in back. 5 stars still I must say...they just don't miss a beat--though I did have to shift to a Jack & Soda over a Jack & Coke as they are Pepsi peddlers (only bad mark--heh, heh). Joe was a great server and his suggestion for the Cubano was a winner! He also let me know of their dog menu so my dogs each got a salmon filet with their bowls of water! Joe was on it--no one on the patio but me, but I was checked in on frequently. Just great service! Good food is nice, but I think I keep coming back here for the service. At all ends, they shine like the North star--an example for anyone to follow. Consistent too, if you read my prior reviews below. _________________________ Adding to an earlier review, I came in yesterday for lunch and had a really good sandwhich w some local dark beer, and then this morning came by again for breakfast, ordering the chicken-fried steak, eggs, and cheese grits. Fabulous! Sorry I had dug in before remembering a pic. The Director of Operations, Amanda, happened to be standing there conversing with the hostess when I came in and was kind enough to let me sit at the bar though this side of the restaurant doesn't open till 11am (sitting by yourself at a table always feels awkward so I wasn't sure what to do and she saw me look at the tables, then the other side and back and intuitively understood w/o my having to awkwardly ask), and she even waited on me herself--what a stand-up move to protect her employees from waiting on someone seated in another--closed--section! I stayed a couple hours and eventually had a couple local IPA's while chatting w the bartender, Becca--very friendly and attentive. It's nice to see a Public House own up to what that means--a cozy neighborhood pub with a larger, cleaner feel that takes a genuine interest in their customers. I'll be back again more now that I've moved to nearby Richmond as my family is here in Cary. 5 stars still! _____________________ My wife and I came in here looking for a place that allowed dogs (we drove here from Austin to visit my sis) and had the World Cup on TV...we were visiting from Texas. This place fit the bill. I had some great wings, stuffed pepoers, and some local IPA's and Margot was really nice and brought our dogs a water dish and treats. The game was on, and there were heaters in the ceiling with the outside wrapped up for winter--very cozy. I loved my wings...hot is more like medium-mild, but it's tasty and not overly saucy on the bone--perfect combo. We'll be back. The staff was very friendly, accommodating, and just all-around nice.

UPDATE: I recently visited Craft Public House after work with some friends and had another enjoyable meal. Seated quickly with no wait, we had a nice high top table with plenty of room in the bar area. The menu is still extensive with many items to please almost any palate or like as far as American type restaurant/bar food fare. We decided to start with their homemade pretzels with mustard sauce and cheese sauce. I do recommend this one, so fresh as well as delicious. I say try both sauces to get the best experience as each offer a great but different taste profile to be enjoyed. For my meal, I went with the Grilled Chicken Orzo pasta selection, menu described as "marinated, pan-seared bone-in chicken breast over creamy orzo pasta with sautéed spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms and shallots." When it arrived, it looked good with a substantial portion and it tasted just as good as it looked when I dug in. I was pleased that the sauce was not a heavy one giving it a lighter than expected (in a good way) finish. All the flavors together were enjoyable and I was satisfied with my choice. Service was friendly and helpful this visit as well. Another enjoyable visit to Craft Public House, I will definitely dine here again if the opportunity presents itself.

    Corned beef hash

Great food and service! Well I ate there four times this week so they must be doing something right. I had (in no particular order) the corned beef hash and eggs, chicken fried chicken, prime dip and the bbq burger. All were recommended by different servers, all were delicious and the portions were more than enough. The fries were definitely on point. It is a sports bar ish but I think they have another room that is quieter but I was fine with watching random sports on the TVs. Service was awesome. They have an in house(?) bakery so everything was fresh. Drinks excellent. Absolutely no complaints, a happy tummy and will be back again (as I've already shown by the number of times in the last week I showed up!)

    Ellen M.

Pros: Fast, friendly service Ample indoor and outdoor seating They have a points award program Enjoyed the pretzel appetizer with mustard dip Easy parking Cons: The chicken Parmesan lacked any flavor - overcooked pasta, red sauce from a can, and the cheese didn't taste like anything Entrees were crazy expensive Nothing really special here - typically overpriced bar food Pro tip: Order queso with your pretzel appetizer and come for a drink. Go elsewhere for a meal.

The chili was fantastic, could've used a bit more portion wise, but I'll let that go. Sandwich was good too. The beer was super fresh. The bar tender told me they just had their lines cleaned out. Lot to be said for a bar that stays on top of that. Would make a menu suggestion to the good folks at Carolina Ale....French Dip....just saying....I think you guys could knock that one outta the ballpark! Bottom line, great lunch, great service! We were seated at two large tables outside (covered patio). We had one server but she did a great job the entire night, getting all of our app, drink, and meal orders and checking back regularly to keep our plates and glasses full. We started with some nachos, cheese curds, fried pickles, and dips, as well as a variety of beers, wines, and cocktails (mostly margaritas). I originally ordered the cajump shrimp pasta, but it turned out they were completely out of pasta that night, so I pivoted to the steak salad. I enjoyed sampling the appetizers - all of them were tasty, hefty portions perfect for sharing. I was already full before the entree salad, and when that came out, I knew I wasn't even going to make a dent in it. I had a few bites before boxing up, but the steak was cooked nicely (medium) and overall, it was definitely a tasty salad. This was a good spot for a relaxed and informal teambuilding week kickoff event. Bonus points for being walkable from our hotel! @azfitfoodfun

Carolina Ale House Review - 3/5…read more It was our last day in town, and we wanted something quick while still getting a taste of some local favorites. Since Carolina Ale House was close to where we were staying, we decided to give it a try. The atmosphere definitely had that classic ale house vibe, with plenty of local beers on tap along with other familiar beer options. It felt like a nice casual spot to unwind and grab a bite. We all ordered something different, which was nice for variety. I had the hibachi shrimp, while the others had tacos with chips, and my son kept it simple with chicken tenders and fries. The food overall was okay, but my dish was a little disappointing. Everything on my plate--between the soup, pilaf rice, broccoli, and shrimp--seemed to carry almost the exact same flavor, so I didn't really get to enjoy the distinct hibachi taste I was expecting. One highlight for me was definitely the spicy margarita--the flavor was delicious. My husband also really enjoyed the "Ale Yeah" 16 oz. Bloody Mary along with one of the local North Carolina draft beers, which was a nice touch. Our server, Trevan, did a great job taking care of us. He was accommodating, attentive, and made sure we had what we needed throughout our visit, which we appreciated. Overall, I'd rate this place a 3/5. It was a decent stop for a casual meal and drinks, but the food could have had a bit more flavor separation and wow factor
