They have really good water ice. I am a fan of the cream ices and they always have something that satisfies my cravings. Interesting flavors and reasonable prices are just a couple of reasons you have to check it out. It also doesn't hurt that it was Best of Philly, but if you are not from the area, it may be a little hard to find, but once you have the water ice, you'll get why they can have a terrible location and make it like they have. read more

The Ice House has, hands down, the best water ice I've ever had. We've been going here for years and it's consistently fresh and delicious. Rita's doesn't hold a candle to this place. The fruit flavors have chunks of fruit and the ice itself isn't overly sweet. My all time favorite is cappuccino - creamy, chocolatey and to die for. Huge variety of flavors. Very friendly owner of this small ice cream shop, but there's a lot of high school kids / middle schoolers who use this place as a hangout and if you get caught behind one of these groups it'll be a 15min wait for your ice cream. The Yardley Ice House is my second home. I admit the people and the product there are my passion. I am always dieting and their fat free soft serve is low in calories and soooo delicious. Their water ice is beyond anything you have tasted. The flavors aren't overly sweet, just real flavors with pie crust in banana cream pie, peanut butter cup as it says and yummy mango, strawberry lemonade and mint chocolate chip. There are so many creative flavors you will not find elsewhere. If I go to a family party they care mostly about what flavors of water ice I am bringing. Absolutely love this place. It's so cute, the staff is always friendly and patient and it's pretty reasonably priced. However, I visit so frequently that I see many of the same flavors always there. Only occasionally will they have switch in a few new ones. I understand some are popular flavors but variety is nice too. Whenever family or friends come to town this is the place we go for dessert! 10/10 would recommend. read more

Hands down, this is the best ice cream I've ever experienced. I was first exposed most of my life to boardwalk ice cream but once I tried Yardley House I am definitely returning soon! . Not only was the ice cream amazing, it made me feel like a kid again. It took me back to my childhood. It was so rich and flavorful. They definitely don't skim on the ingredients.
