    Strawberry, Birthday cake, sugar cone....

Best Ice cream I've ever had. Strawberry Ice cream was best I've ever had. Birthday cake was like eating a genuine birthday cake.

Enjoyed small cup strawberry ice cream with peach ice cream. I was few miles away in Buckingham, so I decided to check out Uncle Dave Homemade Ice Cream. Vegan ice cream available in pint size.

If you're a lover of all things pumpkin, make your way here to enjoy their pumpkin ice cream! They have an amazing balance of the typical fall spices and it's so creamy. Beware that the regular size is LARGE! The Apple cider donut ice cream sandwich is absolutely delicious, but definitely plan to share...or be ready with room for the whole thing. We didn't come prepared and ate food from the stone's throw beforehand. Prioritize the dessert when you visit Shadybrook!

    Peppermint Ice Cream Sandwich

Unbelievably disgusting ice cream and poor customer service to boot. This afternoon I went over to Uncle Daves in Yardley to try their peppermint ice cream sandwiches, I was horribly disappointed with the absolutely vile taste of their mass produced peppermint ice cream (that has a ton of disgusting things in it like corn syrup...) and the disappointing stale taste of their donut that forms the sandwich. None of the ingredients in the package need to be in something that is supposedly homemade and it was truly a waste (and $9 to boot)! Upon my leaving a review of my experience on their instagram, instead of having the customer service team say something along the lines of "hey we're sorry you had a bad experience, come back to us for this event and we'll see that we make it right" (you know...like a human being), they proceeded to remove my comment and BLOCK my account from their page! I would say their customer services matches the quality of their ice cream but I think that the taste of it is , arguably, a little worse. Try deleting this one Uncle Dave's... maybe you try responding instead of blocking accounts of customers who had a poor experience...don't waste your money...

I love this ice cream spot, its one of my favorites. Love the fact that there are so many different flavors to choose from and all of it is homemade! I love the flavors and the choice of cones, you can even make a sundae which I have yet to try but I usually go for my regular mint chocolate chip on a cone. This ice cream spot is inside the Shady Brook Farm on Stony Brook Road and is only an outside spot, so if you're thinking bout eating in- that's not going to happen. Every time that Ive been here to get ice cream, I left satisfied. I love the fact that its near the farm also and there is a playground within like 200 feet of the window, so I can watch my daughter burn off some energy after she inhaled an ice cream cone. The service is always super friendly and helpful and they usually make some awesome suggestions as to what their go to flavors are.

The ice cream is good, and there are lots of flavors. Can you sample them? Not sure - didn't ask, but wasn't offered. My biggest complaint .... you order any size and you have a massive amount above the rim. Sweet you get more than you think. However, when it's 95 degrees outside that stuff melts faster than Frosty in Texas and makes a huge mess. So why not put everything in a large size cup and don't allow it to go above the rim? It's a small ask, but parents with little kids will thank you. Heck, anyone visiting when it's hot will visit you. Think 50% of the ice cream is "above the line" and pretty must all that melted on the table, my son's clothes, on 800 napkins to clean the mess or the floor. It's good and better than local chain they have in town, of course at the chain you can sample. On the plus side they do have hay rides, a huge play area for kids , peach picking and a farmers market. So, check it out and be prepared to get messy.

I've sampled Dave's treats at a fancy food festival held on Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton NJ years ago. Back then he had a location in Hopewell that by the time I visited, was permanently closed. So I book marked this spot and finally got here on a Saturday night. The Yelp info was lacking as to hours of operation, and the phone number given was just a recording with not much info either. We were close so decided to drive there anyway, and the rest is another Yelp happy ending. There was a large event happening at the school next door, but we ventured into the shared road leading to it and found ample parking at the garden center/ farm store that it is housed in. We later found out that there is a window inside the store where you can also order at( and a case of pints ready to grab and go) We walked past the store entrance and off to the right are 3 more windows with a large board advertising available flavors. This night they had about 18, not too few nor too many. With a name like Billionaire chocolate, I had the feeling they were proud of this one. Sold. And of course a contrasting flavor, Salty Caramel. The chocolate was dark and flavorful, very creamy too. The caramel was just as good if not better, a large sweet and salty vein ran through the entire scoop. The $4 ish medium size was a humongous scoop of each, and the amount packed into the Styro cup tested its ability to contain that amount. Trish went with Death by Chocolate, same base as my chocolate but with the addition of brownie bits, choc chips and fudge swirl, and cookies and cream. Her portion size was almost as big, but it was apparent who had more. She loved it too but wished more cookie pieces were included. On its own this frozen cream is mid 4 stars or so. A wee bit too sweet but not distractingly so. Ambiance adds to the experience here. There were at least 5 seating areas, all with pumpkins, mums, gourds and other fall decorations. There is a park worthy playground that was getting a lot of use too. And the addition of an outdoor utility sink( with paper cup dispenser!) near the ordering window showed the thought put into this business. I'm already plotting nearby restaurants we can come to for a handy excuse as to why we should return.

A yearning for a little after dinner (Charcoal - Yardley, PA) taste-a-taste-a led us here. Vince had it bookmarked anyway. I LOVED the grounds it was on - Shady Brook Farms, which Ill easily & gladly review, next. This ice ream was rich and so fresh. The portions were very generous too! MANY flavors to choose from! YUM! I had cookies & cream (no chunks or enough cookie pieces :( ) & triple chocolate (dark choc w brownie pieces & choc chips). Vince had "Millionaire Chocolate" & caramel. Both tremendous! Lots of caramel veins & the chocolate complimented it divinely! Around the corner from the order window is a big sink with antibacterial soap & paper towels o'plenty - smart! This is a children's paradise with the extensive playground, gazebos and a mini play house on a really large piece of land. Ill definitely come back - this was an A+++ date night for sure!!!

The cannoli ice cream was awesome!!

First time visiting Uncle Dave's, based on a recommendation and it was very good. We went for the Coconut ice cream, but they were out of it so we went with the cannoli ice cream and it was very good.

    Ordering outside

The ice cream shop has alot of chocolate flavors but I went with salty caramel. The ice cream was really fluffy (?). I think the kid sise is perfect for one person and the regular cup is good for sharing. Youre allowed to get 2 flavors in the regular cup There is parking on the right side of the barn/store. Theres plenty of parking. You can order inside or outside.

The Newtown area has an embarrassment of riches when it comes to fresh, homemade ice cream. At last count, there are at least four shops making their own cold creamies, and each has something special going for it. With February weather reaching 80 last week, climate change now makes ice cream an all year delight. Uncle Dave's is located in the main store on Shady Brook Farm off Stony Brook Road and the Newtown Bypass. They offer an interesting selection of their ice cream with the ability to accessorize with sprinkles, fudge, caramel, etc. Prices are about right for the competition. Under $4 for the "Kids" size; $5 for the "Medium," and $7 for the "Large." In my experience, that Kids size with three scoops of up to three of your favorite flavors was enough. Don't let the description of "Kids" deter you from getting only what you can lick in one serving. I went with two scoops of butter pecan and one scoop of the seasonal pumpkin. They were both creamy and tasted as they should. Not too sweet, not under-flavored. Both were pretty much what I expected. My friends and their young kids opted for more varieties, including cappuccino, strawberry and peanut butter with a side of peanut butter sauce. They were all happy with their choices. Was it the best ice cream in greater Newtown? That's a matter of personal preference. But, given all the alternatives, it represented Dave's well. Their offerings were more standard that some other parlors, so if exotic and romantic taste is your thing, you might find this place a little uninspired. For you folks, OhWowCow in Wrightstown is the only way to go. Of course, it also costs more for premium. Lick on!

A quick search for places that were still open led us to US Mr. Ice Cream. It was a little out of our way, but we were grateful to find an ice cream spot open until 11:30 PM on a Saturday night. I didn't realize before arriving that it's a walk-up window serving soft serve only, but they offer plenty of ways to customize your order. Between cones, cups, hard-shell dips, sprinkles, candy toppings, milkshakes, and more, there are lots of options to choose from. The service was friendly and efficient, and we had our treats in hand within just a few minutes. Since I needed a gluten-free option and still had a long drive ahead, I kept it simple with a cup of vanilla soft serve topped with rainbow sprinkles. Sometimes simple is exactly what you need, and it definitely hit the spot. The portions were generous for the price, which is especially appreciated these days. There isn't any outdoor seating, and the parking lot is quite small, so I could see it getting crowded during busier times. I also would have loved to see hard ice cream offered in addition to soft serve. Overall, this was exactly what we needed: a quick, affordable late-night ice cream stop with friendly service and plenty of topping choices. While I probably wouldn't go out of my way to return, I'd happily stop again if I were passing through and looking for a sweet treat after hours.
