Pretty stingy place to look for a vehicle, I inquired on carfax.com about a 2025 Jeep Gladiator Mojave, later that day I was called by unfortunately later to find out an absolutely awful salesman by the name of Steve Myers. (I feel awful for anyone who has to work with this egotistical sore loser) I asked over the phone if the vehicles price is negotiable and if I could toss in an offer, he stated how the dealership is a volume dealer and their prices are put "aggressively" which didn't ultimately answer the question but I didn't think much of it and tossed in an offer. Few hours later I was told that the vehicles price is firm, to which I responded by saying "Okay, let me know if anything changes", he tried to justify the price by sending me a data analysis report of similar spec to spec vehicles within a 300 mile radius of the dealership, his vehicle was ranked 3rd for best price in the market, I asked him "where's the location of the first two" to which he claims that locations are not given. After doing not even 10 minutes of digging, I found both. 2 days later, he messages me saying "I saw it." In my response to me seeing the vehicle he failed to provide me information on. Cool I guess? 4 days later, he sends me the listing again and he drops the vehicles price by about $200-300-ish. I told him to delete all my information as I'll be looking for other options in the market since I wasn't too fond of his tone from the start, he states my offer "was not exceptionally fair" to which I show him a better vehicle in the market with a lower price than his AND lower miles than his. His response? "Go buy it." What a ways to go for a salesman Anyways, spend your hard earned money elsewhere if you're looking for a vehicle, this place does NOT deserve your business. read more

Called service to schedule appt, they said they have no openings until Oct 9, it is currently Sept 2, may I also add that the service female answering the phone is very rude and downright mean. Worried that the leaking could possibly be a major issue and shouldn't probably wait. Tried our sales person (Ben)who was oh so friendly and helpful at the time of purchase, said sorry can't help. This was our 3rd brand new vehicle we have purchased from them and also our last. Overall I believe this dealership was above average. I traveled from out of state, to pick up a truck here. The price for the truck was very reasonable. The paperwork etc. was quick and efficient. I was able to get in and out with about 90 minutes. The dealership seemed very clean, and the staff friendly. Cons: I asked the salesman if there were any cosmetic issues or larger issues BEFORE I traveled 3 states to pick up the truck. The salesman stated that there were not. When I arrived there I learned that there was a semi large dent on the tailgate. The dealership did credit me about $500. However, I would have paid $500 extra for perfection. The vehicle has lug nut locks, I never received a key for them. I did call the salesman and he said he would look into it. I still have yet to receive the key for the lug nut removal. read more

Yark says they have to diagnose it themselves and they want $170 !!! Seems like this problem is common on the engine they put in this van. I recently found myself stranded in Toledo on a cross country road trip when my jeep decided to become "posessed" with an electrical problem. As a single female, I'm always a little hesitant to walk into a dealership alone (and will generally drag a male friend with me). HOWEVER from the moment I spoke with Craig Siry over the phone, I felt peace. Walking in with the problem, Craig quickly put me at ease with the entire situation. He explained things as they were happening, was 100% transparent with everything going on, and made sure I understood as well. For once, I didn't feel the need to rely on a male friend to make sure I wasn't getting taken advantage of. When everything was finished, Craig again was as kind, courtesy, and caring as could be. Even after we left, he checked in to make sure we made it the final 500+ miles home. Soooo while I hope to never again see your dealership (no offense), I recommend anyone in your area who's got a jeep, wants a jeep, needs work, has an emergency, or just general maintenance done... Horrendous service. Bought a Jeep Wrangler 5 weeks ago and I am still finding out how much they have screwed up. First, the rear tire guards were defective and had staining. They told me to come back on Friday then go back to the service center so I did. Service Center said they couldn't fix it and I had to go to the body shop. So I went to the body shop and they sent me to the collision shop. Nobody was available to look at it so I had to schedule an appointment for a week later. So now it is 2 weeks after that appointment and nobody has contacted me to schedule the repair. Furthermore, when the sales associate affixed the temporary tag to the back windshield, the adhesive ended up ruining the back windshield. So now I have to get that fixed. As if this nightmare wasn't bad enough, I received the payment information from Glass City CU and the finance officer at Yark sent the loan as 48 months instead of the 72 months that I had signed for. Took me half a day on the phone to get that straightened out. Had two people tell me they were going to "tell a manager and he/she would follow up with me". Not surprising, nobody followed up and I am still sitting here five weeks later having wasted days of my own time and nothing is resolved and have not been offered any compensation for my lost time. Yark seems to have some serious deficiencies when it comes to communication and training their employees. Will never go back and do not recommend doing business with them. Almost forgot the best part...one week after the purchase their customer service manager was texting me asking why I hadn't filled out the survey she had sent me 18 hours ago. Complete and total lack of self awareness. So I told her I would treat that survey with the same expediency that Yark was taking care of my issues and I was looking at about 4-6 weeks to get it completed. Turns out I never even got the survey because she sent it to the wrong email address. She also told me a manager would follow up with me. I will let you guess if that actually happened. read more

When buying pre-owned in Toledo call Dave Holben, he is hands down one of the best car salesmen we have ever worked with, he gets 5 STARS! They also have complete inventory online, so it's easy to shop and find the right deal for you even when you don't live in the area. Now for the rest of my experience: Having just spent 5 hours at the dealership I can tell you, there are areas of improvement. The Sales manager tried to low ball us on our trade, so much that it hurt, and was quite frankly insulting! I called him out on it, using the knowledge of their inventory I gained from their website to back up my argument. I managed to get within $500 of what I wanted. Maybe this is common practice for buying pre-owned, "part of the game", but know your stuff before you go in there, 'cause they'll take you for a ride if you're not careful. Once we got the deal I wanted... or close to it (I wasn't going to break his balls over $500) We were taken over to the finance department, where the guy we worked with bent over backwards to get us the best rate possible. He worked for that paycheck, 'cause it took him FOREVER. He kept apologizing & I am very grateful for the time he spent & the rate we got, he really was wonderful and WORKED for us. But it was, from my stand point... miserable. We were there for 5 HOURS! FIVE ... dinner hour came and went! I was ready to gnaw my arm off I was so hungry. There are only so many bottles of water you can be offered, how about a cookie, or popcorn, or something! I saw a lady across the sales floor snacking on triscuts & surfing facebook at her desk, I was about to mug her for both her crackers & computer! We've purchase several cars in the past 4 years, at different dealerships and this, by FAR was one of the most arduous processes. Based on past experience I would think on average it takes about 3 hrs for the whole process. This was exhausting. That is the major area of improvement this dealership group could benefit from, they are very concerned about the "ownership experience" (i know cause finance guy said it 25 times) but not the current experience buyers are having in that moment. Like I said there are only so many bottles of water & cans of soda one can offer. In the event that financing or service is taking longer than expected, cater to your customers-- make them feel special... offer them a cookie. A lot of dealerships manage to do this and i'm sure it is rewarding for them in the future. Would I suggest family & friends in the Toledo area to shop at Yark? meh... if they want... i probably would never go there again. There aren't many dealership options in the area that have the inventory they have. If it weren't for Dave Holben, our salesman, I probably would have packed it up and shopped someplace else. read more

And then my first service interval came up - at Yark you pull up to a drive thru oil service part of the large service complex. The guys there were more than helpful and within 20 minutes my SRT was up on the rack, oil and fluids done plus tires rotated. When I went to pay the bill I was in for a huge shock . . . It seems that at Yark there is no charge whatsoever for your first service. That made me shake my head in amazement with a smile on my face as a drove away in my perfect Jeep. The Thursday before Christmas I purchased a used vehicle from Yark. Had no real trouble on the short test drive or the drive home. The vehicle sat in my driveway for days because I didn't have anywhere to go. The Sunday after purchase we went to go out to lunch and the car overheated within 10 miles from my home and I had to have it brought back to my house. I've called the dealership multiple times, left messages and have not heard back. I broke down and took it to a different dealership for repairs and advice and it turns out I was sold a faulty vehicle that needs a new engine. Yark has been nothing but problems and poor customer service with both sales and service. I purchased my used Jeep from them about a year ago. THE minute I drove off of the lot, the check engine light came on. I turned right back around and spoke with my salesman. They got it in for service and it had a bad catalytic converter. Which I had to pay to fix it with only a "discount". A year later I email my salesman wanting to speak with him to possibly purchase a new vehicle. Several emails later and him stating he would help me, I hear nothing. I also left voicemails and still nothing. I ended up having a blown head gasket and called the service department to get it in on April 19th. They tell me they will not be able to look at it until May 3rd. I stated I was having the vehicle towed to them. They told me that since it was getting towed there, that was a different story and would be able to get it in and look at it within just a couple days to give me an estimate. A week goes by and I call and they still have not moved the vehicle for even an estimate. Several calls and still no answer I arrive back at Yark in person. They still have not touched my vehicle. Stated it would be given to a supervisor the next day. I go to the used car lot to speak with a salemsan about possibly purchasing another vehicle and the salesman tells me I need to speak with my original salesperson. You know....the one who was never returnec my calls or emails to help me. I then get told to go over to his building. Finally they listen as I know longer want to speak with a salesman who already refuses to get back with me. They give me another. After wanting to push a lease vehicle on me which I know would not work, they were able to finally find one vehicle that I could possible purchase for what I was looking for. I decided not to do that based off of this horrible experience I have already had with them. Several calls and 17 days after they have had my vehicle, it still has not been moved nor an estimate given. They could not even tell me of a day they thought they could even look at it. At this point I have paid $1500.00 for a rental car because of their lack of service. I found another shop who was more than willing to help me. I called the service department and advised them I need the keys placed so the tow truck driver could pick up my vehicle. She assured me she would get it done right then. My tow truck driver came and they were getting ready to close and stated they did not have a release and did not put the keys in the vehicle. Yet again I was screwed over by Yark. I then had to call the next day and have the tow truck driver come out AGAIN! I would not EVER deal with this dealership in any manor again. Good luck to all of you. read more

I am disappointed and unhappy with the customer service that was displayed to my girl friend by the auto service center, after 6 hrs. They never contacted her with any updates. This is unacceptable and Zack one of the customer service rep. displayed a bully attitude when handle this customer. I have had to deal the the service department in Toledo a few time here and to put it simple they suck as far a costumer service goes. They never call you back , they always beat around the bush when asked whats going on. I have used the service department for my Chevy truck and my Caddy in Waterville and they could teach the Toledo service department a few things in regards to costumer service and honesty. The dealership is great. Dave Duncan, great salesman. However the service dept. Is terrible. Don't sign up for the plan about oil changes. Just take your business somewhere else. I had to wait slightly over 2hrs in line for an oil change. Prior to that, I waited in line 35 minutes before being told it would be 2hrs because only 1 lift was working. Their own service guy told me the service dept. Manager knew for 3 weeks only one lift was operating, yet did not have repairs done. It's obvious the manager lacks the ability to run the department, nor competence to address issues. The last oil chsnge done, service advisors stood around and having a good laugh vs. Interacting with customers, I waited an additional 30 minuted before walking up and demanding my keys as it was completed. read more

First off.. Our salesman, KC, was great. Would recommend him any day. Very professional, not pushy at all. Then came the finance department.. My wife was talking with them at first by herself because I was sick and she was just running out to see what options were wise. The plan that was pushed relentlessly was a maintenance and warranty plan that would added tons of unnecessary costs to the loan. Seemingly it would have added over $6,000 to the bill plus interest. It took 3 hours of saying no we just want the price of the car and the lowest rate possible before we walked out with what we thought we were getting when we walked in. Initial rate that was stated was 1.9 and we were promptly told that was crazy and they were not sure where the salesman came up with that, but they wouldn't pick up the phone to clarify. Then.. The dreaded sales words "I called in a favor". don't give us that b.s.... Also, credit score was checked and they went with the lowest of 3 which would have been a huge difference in rates. I would expect that a company looking out for your best interest would go with the best score and the best rate. I had to pull the transunion score on the spot to argue my point. The argument was made that it would be better to go with a 72 month loan with all these extra options to get within what they perceived as our monthly limit when we were really just looking for the lowest possible TCO which meant the lowest interest and shortest term that would fit in our budget. Just a tip, if you try to prove that the car you are selling is such a POS that it requires a pricey bumper to bumper warranty to last 7 years, maybe we should have been shopping down the street at Honda. If a customer says this is what I need to be happy, go with it. Being pushy breeds resentment and people want to walk out thinking they made a good choice with the right business partner. In closing, the salesmen are great, just need to tweak the finance process a bit to have a great experience. read more

Since I lived over 2 hours away they sent a driver to my house with the paperwork and my vehicle. I signed where I needed to and the driver left with my trade in. I had the most unpleasant "service" experience at Yark. My Jeep had transmission problems on the coldest weekend of the year and was towed there. The service representatives did not communicate and would not return my calls. In fact, they would not pick up at all.
