I worked with Corey Foster in used car sales at the Conant street location in Maumee. I told Corey what I was looking for and he assured me the car was a very clean vehicle. I told him I'd be driving down from Michigan which was an hour drive with picking up my daughter on the way. When we got there Corey retrieved the vehicle and that's when we found the car had accident damage that had not been repaired. Corey said he had no idea it was like that after telling me on the phone it was a very clean vehicle. He is a treble salesman and if that is the way they treat their prospective customers I do not recommend doing business with Yark Toyota. Especially not Corey Foster. read more

I'm the EH from a month ago. Luckily, my daughter's 2016 Toyota Corolla was looked at by an honest mechanic. Yark Toyota drained the oil (other than the oil in the filter) and gave the car back to her. It WAS MINUS 4 Quarts. Again, if I could give them negative stars I would in a heartbeat. Use hidden cameras if you can and I bet you'll catch them doing shady shit. read more

If I could offer less it would certainly have been pinned on. I took my van in, and was amazed what they located from a simple oil change. Now, admittedly, it was all part of their service, however, after I told them that I wasn't about to absorb their price tag, I took the car to another garage. Yes, they found the same issues, but their charge wasn't so earth shattering, and I didn't need to take out a second mortgage. Beware of this dealership, and all dealerships. Another example, not at Yark, but wearing that same brand name, I took the same car in, and they said I needed a new battery. This was a week after I had one of my friends, who worked in another garage, install a new one. So, I wasn't going for that. I took it back to my friend, he tested it, and lo and behold, it was good to go. Here's the thing, we all have AI, but apparently, every little ding needs to be placed into diagnostics. You mean to tell me they can't pull up, on their computers, what is wrong, through a category search? No way I believe every little concern needs to be charged a diagnostic fee when, with most laptops, you can pull up anything you want. Here's an idea, check the menu. No, they have to charge for every little hit. I won't be taking my car into Yark ever again. Be very leery of this place. read more

What can improve is whole new staff. I have had issues before after purchasing my car. They refused to honor the warranty. This trip I was under extended warranty. Was told I would have to pay $100.00 . I set an appointment . I paid for the extended warranty but that didn't matter to them. So we were at the appointment. Waited for about an half hour . Nick came to the waiting area and announced our wiring was a mess and needed replaced and we will need to pay an additional $400.00. I spoke with my son and he said mom it is a scam. And he had me to go to another business. Replacing was done for $303.00. Wires looked brand new. We will never associate with Yark ever again! They are not to be trusted they are fake . Unethical behavior. They will apologize like they have with others but I know it will be insincere , by her wording. Such greed hurts so many people. There should be an investigation . Do not trust the this business Yark Toyota at 1377 conant st. I did my oil change regularly at this location, until today I found out that the engine oil was very dirty (tar black) and oil level was very low. Last time, my vehicle was serviced in Jan 2023 and was driven 2000 miles since then. I'm just in the between regular service and the oil was already corrupt! The manager was rude, could not offer any reason, and kept denying with his lies. I had my oil change in anther shop, and the mechanic man said the oil was not just dirty but also very low and he didn't think Yark Toyota changed the oil last time. They didn't do service they promised and they still charged me. Worse than that, I traveled a lot, and if my engine breaks down, I wouldn't even know what has caused it, without checking the oil myself. This is a civil society. No cheating business should be tolerated! read more

I would give this review 0 stars, if possible. By far the worst experience EVER! Buyer beware! Yark Toyota is a farce. The dealership hijacked my vin # assuming I would accept their lowball offer for my trade-in of a PRISTINE 2018 Toyota 4Runner. They listed MY car for sale on Autotrader and their dealership website, but I never agreed to the trade-in! As a result of Yark listing my car for sale, the Carfax report was incorrect, the XM Radio subscription was automatically cancelled, and I could not list the car for sale on any of the online used car selling platforms. After spending countless hours to figure out what they had done and why I could not list my own car for sale, I called Yark. No apology from KEN the general manager, just a statement, "we fixed the issue as soon as you brought the problem to our attention." Also, the taxes and title paperwork for the new car were incorrect and when I called to get clarification, LISA repeatedly stated "again, we have no control of the DMV". The dealership was eager to take my money up front and leave me to figure the details of the interstate title on my own. Living on the border of 2 states, you would think that they know how to operate a business and provide answers to customers questions....in my experience this is NOT the case. They used the age old excuse of a new computer system is to blame for their ineptness. I will NEVER purchase another vehicle from Yark Toyota, and would suggest that you shop elsewhere as well. read more

Not helpful at all! Grifter service mechanic wanted to me to schedule an appointment just to tell me what a code on the engine was. He could not tell me if it was safe to drive or not for me to see my family on the holiday across the state. When my lease is up I will never use Yark Toyota again! I love the Toyota but would not like to see that man employed. If you need help I recommend AutoZone first they will not try to swindle you over something simple! Took my vehicle in for a recall and they were unable to complete it in 2.5 hours. When I got my vehicle back, they had tossed my belongings and car seat base on the floor in a pile, saying it was not their policy to install car seats due to liability, and that they had to get to the battery. I don't think returning a vehicle to someone looking like it was ransacked is good customer service. read more

BUYER BEWARE. It is not the Toyota dealer that you think. Briefly, reserved a vehicle last fall due to arrive in spring. Assured in writing that they would not be marking up the vehicle for local buyers. One week prior to delivery told that they are now going to mark them up $5000 above build price. Obviously, not a decision made by the salesperson. My experience with several of the salespeople has been exemplary. This kind of decision is made at the manager level, or possibly the owners. Not sure if this is a policy of this particular dealer, or the entire Yark Automotive Group, but I want everyone to be aware of the dishonesty involved. I passed up several other opportunities thinking that I could trust their word. Please tell everyone you know. I will be passing the word among both hospitals I am affiliated with as well as everyone online. I will never buy a vehicle again from them ( My family has bought more than 10 vehicles from them over the past 20 years). Anyone considering buying from them beware. Went in for a recall, called ahead of time to make an appt. they didn't tell me it would take hours and hours until I asked after waiting an hour already. Bad enough I had to work on my birthday, but an errand I thought would take 30 minutes made me miss hours of work I have to make up. Dave and the Service department went above and beyond to help me on New Years Eve. I pulled in with a completely flat tire and 4 kids while traveling from Chicago to DC., and they were kind enough to ensure that everything was taken care of, even though they were closing early for the holiday. The waiting area, the bathrooms - everything! - was very clean and well maintained. The staff were helpful and accommodating. If this is how they treat someone just passing through, I can only imagine how great the service is for regular customers. read more

Buyer's Remorse Story...We purchased an SUV at Yark Toyota on 6-27-20 and still have not received the title as of 8-3-2020. OH BMV requires dealers to provide a title within 30 days of purchase. I have left three voicemails with Yark's financial team and emailed Mr. Supan, the finance manager; I have not received a response from anyone. I called the dealership and spoke to the salesman, Tony Hernandez, and he stated that its taking OH BMV 45-90 days to issue a title. So, I contacted OH BMV, and they informed me that Yark Toyota had not submitted the application for a title as of 7/30/2020 and there was no delays from the OH BMV, which means the salesperson lied. They instructed me to contact the OH Attorney General to file a complaint which I did on 7/30/2020. I checked the OH BMV today, 8/3/2020, and Yark Toyota finally submitted the title application, more than 30 days after purchase. Why do they charge a $250 doc fee and $40 title and registration fee if they do not process documents within the defined timelines? Also, how do you receive money for a car and not provide proof of purchase (title)? There were also issues with the car...they sold us a car that was extremely dirty externally and internally (white dog hair/oily handprints everywhere). Tony Hernandez did nothing to rectify this issue and we also informed the finance person, but neither seemed to care. They gave us a $100 credit for a visible dent on the back. After taking the car home and washing it, the other multiple exterior damages became visible; we think this was done on purpose. Then, the check engine light came on within a week and half of purchasing a car with almost 11k miles. It took two days off work to resolve this issue. I thought we had purchased a certified car. I regret purchasing this car from this unethical dealership and so far regret purchasing a Toyota. I had a Volvo before and always had the best customer service. My experience with Yark Toyota has been nothing short of disastrous. read more

Dishonest and pushy customer service with zero integrity. I took my car for an oil change. They tried to tell me that my car was leaking but needed more tests to figure out the source of the leaks. I've had a mechanic friend look at it. There is no leak; it was condensation dripping from the air conditioning. To lie like that is insulting to my intelligence, and downright unethical. Also: I just bought new tires for the front last spring. Old tires were on the back. The guy I spoke to, said I needed to rotate them. I said no, because I wanted the new tires on the front, especially with the impending winter. He pushed and pushed, and now I have older tires on the front of my front wheel drive car, and new tires in the back for the coming winter. I think most can agree that the new tires should have been left in the front. Even if you disagree; I should be allowed to make the choice for myself as a paying customer. I was also told my one year old battery was on the brink of death. Also not true. read more

Watch out. Dishonest business. They will bump the interest rate they promise you (even if you sign the offer document). The purchase was going great until Yark was dishonest about the intersect rate. They promised me they could provide a interest rate for a 36 month loan and had me sign a document detailing this. When they took me back to financing the interest rate was higher than what I signed for -- costing me more than I agreed to. When I showed them the paper (which they had me sign prior) they said it was a mess up with the loan institution. They were unwilling to take ownership or change it to the promise amount. They told me to just switch to a 60 month loan. I brought up with the sales manager. He would not help. Stay away from these interest rate raising clowns. read more

The sales team and service department are great. I had an issue with my 2007 Corolla that couldn't be fixed in time for my road trip to Florida in 2 days. I decided to buy a car but wanted another Corolla. They didn't have one on the lot but while I was there another customer wanted to trade a 2020 Corolla, and long story short I ended up buying this car and making my road trip. And when I returned to Ohio a month later they fixed a small hole in the upholstery and detailed my car at no fee! Great experience all around! read more

After almost dying in a car accident almost a year ago, but being in a Camry saved my life, I was determined to buy one. However, I have had horrible experiences with dealerships over the past 6 months including having been over charged for a car, having to return my new car because it was a lemon, and being lied to about cars not having any accident history. The had soooooooo many choices and my dealer Cameron J. was incredibly patient and kind even when picking the right car took four long trips. It all paid off and I found the perfect car! Driving in my 2014 Camry that has 10 airbags, anti rollover bars, and a drop engine safety feature finally allows me to drive a little more at ease. I bought my car when it was Rouen and have continued with Yark, had all oil changes and mechanical work done there. On Friday I took it in for an oil change and was told I had a dead cell in my battery. This did not seem right as the battery is less than 2 years old ( did not buy it there) and the car was starting just fine. I refused to replace it, they gave me the print out with the info about the battery( probably didn't mean to). I took it to the place I bought it,,they could tell that the cap had not been removed, it had not been checked with a hydrometer and the battery is perfect. So I can no longer trust them so won't go back. I had been online the night before looking at their website for a 2016 or 2017. needless to say I will go elsewhere. read more

1000% dishonest company. Salesman told us we had 12k left in warranty, when we paid they said its not covered under any warranty and the salesman was wrong. They also said we had to wait for detail which never got done. My 8 month pregnant wife and i spent 8 hours getting ink from a pen and milk from a kids bottle out of the upholstery. Also i didnt know the exact amount of pay off for my trade. I was off $236 and i have automatic pay set up for my trade. A payment of 195 went through so i told them i will send a check for the difference. They dont get basic math i guess becsuse i said i owe them the $40 now but they say 236.I asked 3 weeks ago for my title, they said its in the mail. Now 3 weeks later they tell me they have it and will not send it because i owe them an additional $195. Save yourself the head ache and lies. These people are all dishonest. They also said oil was jyst changed. The display said 10% oil they said thats what was used not whats left on the oil change. Then i took it to another dealer and they informed me it means the oil life is 10% left to get it changed. They also replaced the Michelin tires for a cheap 40k mile tire. Im guessing the service department wanted the better tire. Criminal crooks, dont trust these people. Please take my advice and dont look at the vehicles here it might seem like a deal but they will screw you as much as possible read more

I have been looking at used cars for 10 weeks. I finally found a car that I loved. I called my mechanic to set up an appt to take the car in to get looked at. I scheduled an appointment the day after I looked at the car. I called the salesman Tony Hernandez literally 5 minutes after I left the dealership to let him know I had set the appointment and would be back the following day to get the car. He never returned my many calls, until one hour before the scheduled mechanic appointment. I understand that this is a risk you take with used cars. However, I will NEVER return to this dealership. Very poor customer service. I have a difficult time believing that in the two hours the dealership had been open that the car which has been on the market for at least a month... maybe longer... sold. Which means Tony must have known well before I was notified. I should have been called back right after I left a message about the mechanics appointment. Salesman sell cars but they also create relationships. I'm not angry about the car selling, I am very disappointed as to how I was handled. I assume it's because I wasn't financing and was buying a car that wouldn't create much commission for the salesman. There are so many places to buy a car, and in this day and age, buying a car from a non-dealer is cheaper and incredibly easy. For this reason, dealerships must work harder to create and keep business. I've just moved to the area, and had they treated me better they would have had a customer for life... I have four children and a fiancé... Yark missed out on years of business because of this. read more

Purchased my Certified used 2013 Rav4 a little over 2 years ago. My salesman was and is great! Sadly Yark Toyota service is not! Have had all my scheduled maintenance at Yark and to this point but never again! My first issue was tires! Unknown to me my tires were wearing incorrectly and though I was having the tires rotated and checked at Yark they never noticed or just never informed me of a possible problem! I was offered tires at cost and buy three get one for a dollar along with a free alignment. When I was last in, the service manager didn't seem to remember that conversation. On that same service for oil change, when I was notified my car was ready, I asked the condition of my brakes. The service advisor told me they didn't look at them but the mechanic who brought the car from service told him the brake pedal seemed soft? I asked if anyone looked at them? I asked why the didn't do the 41 point inspection? I was told because I didn't get my tires rotated so they just changed the oil. I don't get the tires rotated any more because they are messed up and rotation won't help at this point! I was quickly handed my receipt and told the keys were in the car. I walked to the next office and spoke with Nick the service manager and after questioning him as to why no one showed any desire to look at the brakes or even let me know of a possible issue he couldn't give me a reason. I got in my car and then had to reset the service light because that wasn't even done. On my drive back to work I had to call Nick and tell him that I couldn't understand why no one seemed to be concerned of a potential brake issue? Nick snapped back at me and said " do you want me to have someone look at your brakes " I explained that not only is it a possible safety issue that is how a service department makes money! I get safe brakes and Yark makes money. He told me I was preaching to the choir and that he would sit down and speak with the service advisor. I did have the brakes looked at! Two frozen caliper bolts, one on each front wheel and very worn rear pads! I got the brakes repaired! Not at Yark! Tires are down the road and I will also not buy them from Yark! read more

I would have given zero stars if I could. Wife went in for simple oil change for 2012 scion xb that was scheduled. Took longer than it should have. Got home to find oil leaks all over driveway staining it. Found spilled and dripped oil in engine compartment I had to clean up. Oil plug in pan was not tightened enough. Called and brought it back. They offered no discount nothing just appologies. Meanwhile her time is wasted by having to go back. As well as my time cleaning up oil stains on my driveway. They didn't even offer a free oil change next time. The excuse was "sometimes the plug feels like it's tight when it isnt." I have done hundreds of oil changes on Toyotas, nissans, and fords. Everyone vehicle has torque specification for the plug to be torqued with a torque wrench not by feel. Plus you should start the engine let it run and check for leaks (standard procedure). I would be afraid, very afraid to have them doing anything more than put wiper blades on. Seeing they can't even do a basic oil change on a new vehicle without it leaking. This places quality has gone way downhill after Yark took over from Rouen. I won't be back for sevice or to purchase. read more

Bought a used Rav4 with the help of Chris Dupree, who was absolutely amazing. I hate high-pressure, in-a-hurry salesmen. We cancelled a deal a couple days earlier at another dealership because of concerns about the honesty of the salesman. Chris was just what we needed: honest, friendly, and more concerned with our needs than with rushing the deal. Even though we showed up late in the day and caused him to stay a couple hours late, he was fantastic. We actually test-drove 4(!) different cars, and he never rolled his eyes once! When we need another car, we will come back to Yark, and we'll ask for Chris. read more

I recently purchased a new 2015 Toyota Avalon from Yark Toyota, and was very impressed by the way they do business. The entire process was a very pleasant experience from start to finish. Cameron Juhasz, our Sales Consultant, exhibited all of the things most people are looking for in a car buying situation - courteous, well spoken, and knowledgeable about his product. During price negotiations, everything was presented to us in a very straight forward manner. There was not a lot of running back and forth to the boss, which we usually had to deal with at other dealerships in the past. The only reason I didn't give Yark five stars, is because I have had no opportunity to deal with the service part of their business as yet. read more

If I could give a zero in customer service AFTER buying the car I would... my sales man Chris was amazing and worked with me to get me into what he thought was a safe car for me as I'm 8 months pregnant. We were very excited in the beginning but I went on a trip to Texas and on my way back, I ran into a lot of car trouble to the point where I couldn't even go home before it all got fixed. I ended up having to put over $500 worth of work into my car plus 2 days hotel fees and labor and I contacted their sales manager to see if there was anything they would be willing to help me with since I bought the car not even two months ago. He kept saying that the car passed the point test to come off the lot and whatever happened off the lot was my responsibility. I was stranded on the side of the road 8 months pregnant in the almost 100 degree weather and they couldn't even help me with any expenses because it was "no longer their problem".
