I had a very disappointing experience at this orthopedic office with Dr.Bastian, and would not recommend it based on my visit. From the start, the interaction felt unprofessional. The physician greeted me in an overly casual manner ("bro/dude"), which immediately set an uncomfortable tone for a first-time patient encounter. Throughout the visit, he appeared rushed, spoke very quickly, and did not create space for me to explain my symptoms. I came in for evaluation of a painful cyst in my thumb and ongoing shoulder tendinosis. Instead of asking questions or performing a thorough assessment, he stated that he had reviewed my imaging and that "everything is fine" because I am young and healthy. My concerns about pain were dismissed without meaningful discussion or examination. What was most concerning, however, was the commentary about my insurance. When I mentioned my plan, it was referred to as cheap or something which felt highly inappropriate and unprofessional. Regardless of insurance type, patients deserve to be treated with respect and receive proper medical attention. Overall, I left feeling dismissed, unheard, and angry. I hope this feedback encourages the practice to improve patient communication, professionalism, and respect.

It's been 2 whole months of asking them, they say we will get back to you, and never do. Receptionists can't do their jobs and the billing department is apparently out of the office by 2pm every time I call. It's a simple task and seems like a normal thing to ask especially when it comes to a surgery so I'm a bit concerned with this type of treatment to a potential patient..

Dr. Lee changed my life. I went to him in February 2026 as a second opinion on a herniated disc…read more(L5/S1) that was pressing on my sciatic nerve and causing sever left leg pain. Prior to that appointment, I was in PT for 2 months which only made the pain worse and then received an epidural shot from a pain physician. The epidural shot wore off after 6 weeks and the pain came back in mid-March 2026 worse and persistent. I made the decision to get a microdiscectomy and got it done on April 21, 2026. Dr. Lee and his office is very professional. He takes his time and answers every question I had about the surgery, recovery, and anything I could think about. He never rushes me out the door and spends the time talking through everything with me. He called for two days after the surgery, and his team was able to answer any questions via phone I had. Dr. Lee has been a resource at several milestone appointments: 2 weeks post op, 6 weeks post op, and 4 months post op. He also gave me a great recommendation for the PT required after my 6 weeks of recovery. Two things I would like to point out is the hospital nurses all had great things to say about him the day of the surgery and kept telling me I was in good hands. The OR nurse even told me she's consulting with him about her pain. The PT office I selected based on Dr. Lee's recommendation has also been great. At my first appointment with them during the physical exam, based on my physical responses to the exam, they told me I had a great surgeon who worked on me, and I was in great shape just 6 weeks after the surgery. I know a full recovery can take up to a year so I am still in recovery and doing PT (more for my sanity) as I had a large herniated disc, but I am no longer in pain and feel like my prior self 95% of the time. I would recommend Dr. Lee in a heartbeat!

I prepared the disc to be mailed off with the USPS, which required a signature once delivered to Dr. Lee's office. I did this because the disc has my Personal Health Information (PHI) and my Personal Identification Information (PII). I also called Dr. Lee's office and spoke his female staff members - twice - to alert them of the disc being sent and the need for someone's signature. I was brushed off and ignored. I few days later, I get a bill for the office visit. Long story short, my disc sat at the USPS in Glendale until it was returned to me by USPS as no one went into the USPS to sign for the disc. A female staffer calls me to ask if I had received their bill, to which I told her I had. She tells me to ignore it because they filed the claim wrong!?!? I would not recommend anyone going here.

I had a different issue now with my back. There are different specialists for backs so they assigned me Dr. Ghayoumi (also great!). The care he provided helped solve my back issue and I was better in a few weeks. My negative review is on the facility and their costs. I showed up right on time to my appointment, but didn't have time to fill out their paperwork beforehand. I was chewed out (scolded like a child) by one of their front desk staff. She made me feel extremely embarrassed because I didn't complete their paperwork beforehand... I went in for a total of 2 visits. First visit, I saw Dr. Ghayoumi for 15 to 20 minutes and got an X-ray. In total, I was there for about half an hour to 45 minutes. They billed my insurance for $2K. For my follow up visit, I was in and out in about 15 minutes and insurance was billed another $350. I understand that these rates are pre-negotiated and contracted, but that's just exuberant. To summarize, the doctors are great. My issues were resolved. But their facility and some staff are not so great.

Amazing and what was really amazing after having to file medical malpractice grievances and so forth was Julia her operator. It appears that specific orthopedic energy located at that office is all the same rude, a since of entitlement and I have no idea but I heard the phone call on three way and non o e talks to my wife like that. I am a mandated reporter and this is being reported to the medical board and so forth. I have met a lot of Drs cause my wife is a sick all the time but this is a Dr that should never be in practice.

He was extremely knowledgeable and communicated very well what my problem was to me in a warm, calm, caring, "not rushed", and friendly manner. I also must add that his Asst., Angela, was very professional and communicated very well to me all that she needed from me as a new patient. She was also very sweet and caring! Great office!
