Unsatisfied with the experience. I went there yesterday with my daughter, spend 3.5 hours just for manicure bcs she was short on staff, and she overcharged me. What a great experience for a pedicure today on a freezing cold day. Their pipes burst from the cold and still they managed to take excellent care of their customers. Getting hot and clean water from next door. There was no interruption to services. Although some jerks ran away when they heard about the water. Regular customers understood and appreciated all the effort. Even had a new pedicurist today. Somaly was great. I was here first customer and she took great care and asked how I was doing and if everything was all right. Very nice foot and back massage too. Thanks Yaya. Good job today. read more

I got an impromptu fill in here because I wasn't home to go to my regular salon. Yaya the owner was personable and the shop was clean. Issues arose with the actual service. The young lady that did my nails was polite but seemed like she didn't want to be there. She cut my cuticles too much and most of my finger were sore for 2 days. Other than that I was happy the day of my service. She executed the style well. Just over 24 hours post fill in a nail started to lift. Today, only 2 days post service the nail almost came off. Prior to my fill in another customer told me how much she liked the shop. They also seem to have a lot of regulars. Requested a mani-pedi and said I'll be back another day for color. She said ok. Paid extra to remove powder.. I pay her before she does my nail polish and added a tip - total cost me $38 She wasn't happy that I tipped only $4 (but I would tip again when coming back for color)... she immediately decided to get sloppy and careless on my nails where it even dripped the color right off my nail from drying! Another lady had to remove excess polish off my skin. I told them I'm not happy with how my manicure looks and will be back to get it re-done because I don't have time to get it done again... blonde skinny lady said ok. Polish looked so bad I had to remove it. ...4 days later Walk in to select my color - the girl that did it said ok & suddenly there's a conversation among the girls in their Asian dialect... Very disappointed . They have no price listings so they charge whatever they feel like . I was charged 124 $ + tips for a very bad pedicure and and the worst ever manicure . They sold me a dirty old slipper for $ 3 it put the slippers on me and messed my nail polish on my toes . I came home and felt like crying . Everyone said I got robbed . Very greedy set of people working here . I couldn't relax one bit, couldn't get a back massage on the chair because they were trying to balance everything on my lap and do my manicure. I walked in at 6:40, they looked bothered , i asked if i could be helped or i can come back another time, then they started talking on their language, they said ok but unhappy. I really needed my nails done due to a party next day. Now, if they close everyday at 8 pm why were they annoyed? Well, the woman started applying powder( my request) my nails were cleaned, no nail polish, so it was not a whole process required since i didn't want the acrylics, short nails and no design. When i went to pay for the service they over charged me, $48 for that, usually they charge me $38. Another thing, they don't have the prices listed which is totally wrong and they always give you different prices too. Tried to give this place a chance post-pandemic. Went in for a regular manicure. Their prices have gone up, which was to be expected. The nail technicians were nice. Seems like an all new staff from last time I went. Sad to report that my nails did not come out looking good. Not sure what the lady's name was who did my nails. She was truly lovely and I can tell was trying her best, but shaped each of my nails differently (round, square, lopsided), and applied the nail polish unevenly, not covering the whole nail in some instances. Disappointed....went home and checked the YaYa website to check the prices I was charged as it seemed high price for a Tuesday and a std pedicure with a callous removal extra. The website said a pedicure is $18 and callous eliminator is $5. I was charged $25 for the pedicure and $10 for the callous removal. $35 before a $10 tip. When I called I was told that the website is over 15 years old and she has been trying to have the company take it down. The pedicure was good....I don't think it was worth $35 though... Have to say YAYa Nail is now my Friday morning ritual. The girls are all very nice- they are VERY BUSY. YOU MUST MAKE AN APPT- and still expect to wait a little bit. Not their fault- they are just good, with a very demanding clientele. NexGen Powder is primarily what they are known for (I think) and so far has lasted brilliantly for me. I walked in here in dire need of a pedicure . During my cuticle care they gentleman cut me and was not gentle at all . They are not obeying social distancing and do not obligate customers to wear a mask. During my pedicure a woman who seemed to be a regular placed her mask on her chin and started eating. She was eating and talking no one said anything which is quite alarming since cases are surging . After the pedicure my feet were dry which has never happened. I was feeling tired after work one day and saw this salon i pass everyday but it caught my eye one day when i saw they offered massages too. I thought why not, i feel terrible. They were so attentive and i was on the massage table within minutes of arriving even though they seemed busy. Not impressed. Came here because my usual nail salon was packed and I wanted to get a mani/pedi asap. I was underwhelmed from the moment I walked in. Both the mani and pedi were mediocre and the only thing the lady said to me the whole time was "square shape??". So they have a room in the back - I'm not sure if this is the "spa" area or a space to get your hair done. Either way, the woman that worked that area was LOUDLY on the phone for about 15-20 minutes talking this and that. I feel like I know everything about her apartment and landlord issues! The neck rub that most do while nails are drying after you have manicure I love that, however its hit and miss depending who you get sometimes couple minutes other times 10 seconds, but no biggy. I always remember to get the card they fill in each time you go and at ten visits you get free manicure but if you dont ask for the card you will not get. read more

Maybe it's the metro cards tucked in the card holders so they can scrape off your gel manicure when you're finished with it, perhaps its the pain from your toes when they cut your nails too short. I can't decide. I went for a manicure and vowed never to go again. She cut my nails too short (ouch), then continued to use an alcohol soaked cotton ball when I clearly flinched and pulled my toes away with each stinging touch. I vowed, I swore, I avoided it at all costs. But then it was Christmas Eve, and we were leaving for a ski trip, and I just needed to feel pampered and every other nail salon had a wait. Except for Yaya...no wait (not a great sign). Then I had my gel manicure done. She did a great job, 14 days later and they've held up, and they look good, and she was nice. She used the sheer pink to paint over my white tips so my tips have a slight pink color to them which doesnt look great. I have a wedding in a few weeks and have recently moved into the neighborhood so I figured that I would check out the nail salons around my apartment before then in order to see which I should use for when it counts. Yaya was almost empty when I walked in, but I waited 10+ minutes for the one girl working to finish up with her original client (there were 3 people wandering around in the back, not working). When I finally sat down, everything went smoothly until the color needed to be put on. During her filing and buffing of my nails, there was an uneven part of my nail literally sticking up off the top (I don't even know how that happens...) and she painted over it. The piece was sticking up out of the polish and I pointed it out to her so she took the polish off of it and tried to clip it off. She was unsuccessful, but she continued to paint it anyway. I mentioned it to her again but she continued to paint over it and left it that way. As it was just a plain white manicure I did not fight but it did become a chipping point within 24 hours. Overall they looked nice, but there were a few bubbles and the polish did begin to chip within 24 hours (I did not do anything with my hands- not even dishes!- for that time) so I will probably try the place across the street this week and see if I have better results. read more

I really wanted to like YaYa Nails. The people are very nice, but I found the service lacking. I've been there twice now and the first time was fine, nothing to rave home about, but this second time I asked for a hot stone pedi. I asked if the manicure was included and I was told it was, after the pedicure, when I was ready to sit for my manicure the owner came over and said the mani was not included and I'd have to pay more. Had I known that when I asked, I would have picked a different package. Also, the guy doing my pedicure apparently found the hot stones too hot for him to hold and my hot stone massage was about 2 mins long. When the manicure was ready for polish, he didn't go all the way to the cuticle. It was weird looking when it was done that the polish didn't cover the entire nail. I wouldn't go back. I came in. I was told to go to the back. I sat there for 10 min before somebody told me to do anything. Mind you the entire While I sat there there were two ladies working on another customer and it wasn't until I wanted to leave that all of a sudden she became free. It was a super quick pedi. She barely touch my cuticles. She was more interested in talking to the tech next to her. When I started looking at my feet then she went back and did a little more cutting.
