This truly disheartens me to leave a one star review. Made an appointment with this location the day prior for a morning appointment. I asked for 1030 am and showed up a minute behind. Walked in and was really excited due to the design work that was posted. Well I was informed the lady wrote down 10 am for me so I was told to take a seat and they will be with me when they can. I sat for a few minutes and then asked will I still be able to get two fingers with designs on them. They stated I couldn't get designs or I would have to come back another day. At first I was like alright I'll just come back so I asked their next available time. It was for the following day at 1, I asked if it was earlier and she laughed in my face and stated you couldn't make it for 1030 am because it's too early for you. It really disheartened me due to the reason I was a a minute behind was due to having an emotional morning and as we know getting around in NY always takes long to do everything. Life is already hard enough and to have people that don't even take a moment to just be kind to someone is not ok. They really need to work on their customer service because it's a shame to treat people in that manner. Not only did they change how I felt, but this was supposed to be a wonderful experience since I was getting nail art for my spouse that passed to wear at his tribute. I've gone here more than once to get a gel manicure, I've also tried powder dip, and I knew there was a reason that I stopped going. I gave them another shot about two weeks ago, and got a great job manicure. Came back today and it was so awful. First of all, there were fuzzy things on my nails as she was painting that I had to pick off. Then I looked away for a moment and realized she painted my nails and two black dots were stuck in the paint. She didn't take it off, she just kind of looked at it and kept trying to paint over it, however, she really should've filed over it or used remover to fix it. I got my nails done here back in august but forgot to review them. I got a set of tips here and the girl did a terrible job. They were bumpy and extremely high. They werent flat nails like other people get. The girl didn't file them down enough. The pictures on Yelp made me feel like I hit the jack pot. Arrived a little before my appointment and was seated for my pedicure immediately. I opted for one of the more expensive pedicures because it was my first time trying this location. I wanted to be sure she used a little elbow grease and get the job done (if you know what I mean). But unfortunately I was left EXTREMELY underwhelmed. She didn't clean my cuticles at all.When it was time for the massage, it felt like she was just rubbing in lotion. Extremely unsatisfied. To top off this terrible pedicure, she used this unknown nail polish which chipped 2 days later. Onto my SNS dip powder. I told the young lady I had acrylic on my nails but she continued to put the foil on my fingers as if it was SNS. Needless to say, it took 1.5 hours for my nails to be done. My last two visits here weren't great. It took 3 hours to do a gel mani with design and a regular pedicure last week despite having an appointment, the woman who was supposed to paint a base color while I waited for Judy took an HOUR to shape my nails and barely touched my cuticles before doing a sub-par paint job, and I feel like Judy rushed through the design. On top of everything, my shoes were randomly moved while my nails were getting done which I didn't appreciate. The visit before this, a man who clearly wasn't certified to do nails was somehow allowed to attempt to fix a broken one and it looked horrible, even after Judy fixed it. He also did my pedicure which didn't even last longer than the day I got it and forced me to spend another $23 +tip to get them redone. I've been pretty consistent coming here for the last 8 or so months but lately it feels like the quality of service is dropping off. read more

I tried this spot today for a pedicure. The woman did not speak much English but was able to understand when I told her I was sensitive when she was a bit rougher than I would have preferred. She did end up breaking the skin next to my large toe when trying to clean the cuticle. This has never happened to me before after many pedicures in my lifetime. I showed the woman who did the pedicure and another staff member where a small amount of blood was visible after the Job was done. I didn't think she was very skilled and overall the pedicure was very basic without any massage that I am used to getting w a foot treatment and also there was minimal exfoliation. I was offered an apology upon leaving. I hope I don't get an infection. I don't recommend this place for a pedicure-I'm not sure about manicures since I opted out after this experience. read more

I was looking for a new nail salon since my nail technician moved out of state and it looks like a found it !!! I loved how Judy did my nails !!! As I'm a very picky person. Judy filed them as I wanted very squared and painted all the way to the top and all sides as sometimes some technicals leave a gap on top so they don't paint your skin (which I hate) If you get a gel manicure they don't soak your nails which I found very different but she overall took out all of my cuticle and it was fine. I'm giving this place 4 stars only because the technician that did my pedicure didn't really get into my toe nails as I wanted. Her touch was way too soft for my liking. I felt as if she didn't take off enough cuticle or even went into the sides of my toe nails to clear any dead skin or any somewhat ingrown nails ect .... I came out here from Manhattan when I lived there because this place was 10x better than any place on the UES. Yes, you must call ahead to make an appointment. They are busy, because they are good! I do powder manicures, sometimes with designs, and their pedicures are divine. Recently, they renovated and it looks so nice! If you need to be out by a certain time, just communicate that to them and they will do their best. I have to say, the high reviews for this location is baffling. I made an appointment for a powder manicure/regular pedicure and got immediately sat which was great. Sadly, the quality of both of those services were horrible. Everything felt so rushed and it wasn't even busy. My pedicure looked like I did it. When he finished, I was actually confused. He painted on my actual cuticles. The white residue left from removing my original polish was all over my toes (all he had to do was wipe it off with remover). Didn't file them correctly so they're different shapes. Then, onto my powder manicure. I got a new man for this. He didn't do the basics of a manicure, like push back cuticles. He rushed through the powder process, and when he finished left me with hard powder all over my fingers. It has been one week and I have one nail half off, and four others that are completely chipped. A complete waste of my money. read more
