Her expectations (and ours) were not very high as it is hard to find truly good dining in Catron County. Boy were we wrong! The place has a great vibe with fun decor, plenty of seating, pool tables, etc. We were warmly welcomed by our server, who turned out to be one of the owners. She had an impressive knowledge of their products and shared a bit of history as well. Prod-O proudly offers craft brews and spirits from New Mexico, including their own brews and whiskey. We tried the Prad-O brews, Elfego and Eagle Peak. Both got a thumbs-up from our party. Unfortunately, we did not get to taste their in-house whiskey as it sells out faster than they can distill it. Guess that means another visit! The food did not disappoint as we enjoyed the quesadillas, pretzel with beer cheese, breadsticks, and salad, all freshly made in the kitchen by Jody, who also makes a KILLER salsa! The food is exceptionally fresh and delicious, and you can truly taste the quality in everything they serve. She is incredibly attentive, welcoming, and genuinely great at what she does. She makes you feel right at home and adds so much to the overall experience. I called just to let them know, mainly because I thought their oven might have been running a little too hot. I wasn't asking for a refund or expecting anything in return. To my surprise, they went above and beyond. They made me a brand-new pizza and delivered it to my house, and they even replaced a broken BBQ sauce bottle, completely free of charge. Things happen, but what really matters is how a business handles them. Avery's BBQ handled it incredibly well, and I'm super impressed with their customer service and willingness to make things right. I really appreciate them going above and beyond, and I'll definitely be ordering from them again!

We've visited Pinetop twice now, and it has officially become our favorite escape from the Buckeye…read moreheat! One place we always look forward to visiting is The Den. They have live music on Friday and Saturday nights, and every band we've seen has been fantastic. We also joined in on Musical BINGO, and my husband actually won! It was such a fun and lively experience. The bartenders are friendly, engaging, and made us feel right at home. They even recognized us on our second visit, which was such an unexpected and wonderful touch. The food is amazing, too. The hamburgers are terrific, and the drinks definitely hit the spot. You can sit at the bar, relax at a table inside where it is nice and cool, or enjoy the outdoor deck overlooking the sound stage. There is also a lower seating area for anyone who likes being closer to the music and all the action. The Den is also dog-friendly, which is a huge plus when you are traveling with your furry family member--just remember to keep them off the grass. During the band, children were playing on the lawn, families were relaxing, and everyone seemed to be having a wonderful time. The entire evening felt fun, welcoming, wholesome, and full of great energy. Evidently she was the owner's sister but, the way she treated me and a few other people in line blew me away. She made a much older, disabled woman walk all the way back to her car to get her ID even though the woman was in the night before. When someone pointed out that she could look her name up on the guest list, the owner/sister(?) said, "that sounds like a YOU problem" ~ what?! You'd think they didn't rely on customers to keep their doors open. I drove 8.5 hours to go to Lions Den and see Pinetop. I doubt I'd come back that way. And, the Wine Burger? It's "OK" ~ it's a burger. I'm not sure what the big deal is.
