After my sapphire engagement ring was stolen, I replaced it with a lovely ring from a NYC-based jeweler. When it arrived, I found that the setting didn't work with my wedding band. I took it to Jack Yeager, who instantly knew what I wanted and produced a few mountings for me to try. They took the stone out of its current ring and placed it in the new one (ordered in my size so it fit perfectly right away). It looks 100% prettier in its new setting thanks to Jack's expert selection. He was good about explaining why he recommended the ring he did and giving me options as to style and material, and the staff was great about communicating. Horrible experience here. I went in with a ring that I received from my grandmother and asked if they could clean it. The woman working here was extremely rude and told me that it was just an old ring and could not be cleaned. I was dismissed and felt completely disrespected. Yeager Jewelers is in a nice little plaza in Westlake. If you're stopping at the newly-opened Fleet Feet in the same plaza, pop over to Yeager and take a gander. This is not a pretentious jewelry store, but feels fancy as soon as your walk in. There is a wide-variety of higher-end jewelry purchases to more moderate items. If you're like me, and you appreciate nice things, I think you'll be sure to find something worth looking at in Yeager. I'm not one who would even think twice about setting foot into a Kay, Rogers, or Jared's jewelry store. I cannot stand the items these "big-box" stores or the people who work there. I don't want to wear something that every yahoo on the street does; I prefer items that are more unique and unusual. Yeager offers a variety of unique items with more classic styles as well as new trends in jewelry. I've made several purchases in the past few months, some for gifts and some for myself. The employees are always kind and helpful, not pushy. They don't try to "up-sell" you either. I appreciate that I can come in, look around, and not feel pressured to buy something, and quite honestly, that makes me want to return again. Excellent customer service and beautiful collection in a warm inviting store. We brought in an old family heirloom ring that we knew very little about and Jack was able to repair, clean and identify the gems for us through his gemology equipment. Definitely keep them in mind! read more

My husband ordered a beautiful charm for our wedding day - it did not arrive in time, and they neglected to call him, necessitating his driving to the store three separate times on our wedding day because each time they said "the mailman hasn't come yet - try again later." Then, they did not ever call to let us know it was ready. My husband lives in Columbus, so I've tried several times to stop in, but their hours are inconvenient for those with full-time jobs. When I was finally able to stop in today, it was ready. I asked for a discount because A) it wasn't ready in time for the wedding and B) they failed to call to let us know it was ready (it had been TWO WEEKS). The woman asked if anyone told me I would receive a discount, then had to "get the manager." The manager told me to my face that "we never promised it would be ready in time" and "your husband told us not to call." They called my husband a liar right to my face. Apparently customer service isn't a strong tenet for the employees of Yeager Jewelers. Instead of converting a middle-class couple from an occasional buyer of smaller items to buyers of higher-price items in the future through good customer service, they've converted us to people that are angry enough to write this negative review. Hopefully, others will benefit from us sharing this experience, and take their business elsewhere. read more

The time I visited I wasn't really thinking I'd be making a purchase, but found that they had great selection of jewelry at different price points--which you don't typically find at high-end jewelry stores. I found this place looking for a graduation gift for my little sister. Most items are pretty expensive of course, however there is something for every pocket! I found was i was looking for and more. I bought my gift which was in the price range i had in mind without compromizing. I also found A great collection of unique and customizable jewelry ! People were nice but very odd experience here. Stopped in to look at mens wedding bands. They really didn't have much of what I was looking for (two tone 14k band). They brought me a couple booklets explaining that they could get some bands from their partner. So I picked 3 rings to be brought in. I received a call from them on a Friday that they got the rings in but none were the rings I picked out. So I go in on Tuesday since I was out of town. Of course I was puzzled by the rings of the wrong design...then they bring up a pic on the computer that still wasn't what I picked, then try to explain they need a full "down payment" just to get that ring in to try on! So that was about the end of my experience here...doesn't really seem normal to have to pay the full amount of a ring just to get it in the store to try on. May as well just buy off Blue Nile or something if you're buying sight unseen... read more

Had the pleasure of visiting Yeager Jewelers when I was in Cleveland for the weekend. Jack (the owner) and Gayle immediately welcomed us and allowed us to walk through the store and try on piece after beautiful piece. Jack is very knowledgeable and has a little story about everything. I ended up buying a beautiful ring and necklace for a reasonable price, though if you are in the market for higher end jewels they definitely have what you are looking for. My only regret is that the store is not in Chicago (where I live) but you can bet next time I find myself in the area I will be stopping by. Overall Yeager Jewelers is a wonderful family owned business and if you have not yet made it for a visit, I highly recommend it. read more
