The workmanship and team spirit made for a beautiful pool and deck (apron). YRP also recommended a landscape company that they work closely with so we went with that company per YRP. The synergy between YRP And the landscapers made for a most aesthetically pleasing pool and recreation area. Upon completion of the pool we had few if any problems that needed to be addressed with one exception. That problem was rectified and our pool was ready for action within 24 hours of raising the problem. The weekly cleaning commitment of the pool cleaners has been solid for the past six years. Year Round Pool coordinated and built our new pool in Hilton Head Island about 18 months ago. Their process from start to finish was so well coordinated with us and all the different contractors. The finished pool, spa, deck, fencing and landscaping are gorgeous and it has enhanced our property so much!! We use YRP for maintenance as well. They take very good care of our pool and keep everything running properly on a weekly basis. They even send me pictures each week! They communicate well if any repairs are needed which has only been once and under warranty. In my opinion they are the best in the area. We have used 2 other pool companies in the area with other properties and none even come close to YRP. read more

We bought our home in 2012 from the original owners. Year. Round Pool did the design and installation, so we stayed with them for service. Our technician has been one of the reasons we have stayed with the company, and he has recently been promoted- well deserved. His replacement has also been excellent. If we have an issue, the office staff is very knowledgeable and will send a repair technician in a timely manner. The service technician will diagnose the problem, explain the repair options, and do the work quickly. We have not had any major issues with our pool, but when we do have a glitch, it's great to know the Year Round Pool team is on the case! read more

What an amazing company. Let me explain my experience before Year Round and what led me to Year Round Pools - I arrived to my house, unannounced after rental season, and found my pool water cloudy, sand on the bottom and a leaky filter cap which the service guy ignored. I immediately called my previous pool company and they told me the water was not cloudy (it was me), a dirty bottom is normal and they tried to fix the cap with silicone and if that didn't work we might need a new filter. It didn't work and it would take 4 days to come back out to check it again. I immediately called Year Round Pools. They said somebody would come out, and would try next day but couldn't guarantee it as it was late in the day. Well, first thing the next morning, John came out and replaced a simple O ring that fixed the problem. He was efficient, helpful and took the time to explain and answer all our questions. That was it for me. I called Year Round back and asked for estimate for services. They came out the very next day, sent a quote and we signed up. That very day, they came out to test the water and lo and behold, it was cloudy because the previous company did not maintain the right chemicals (so I'm not crazy Ray). Mind you, I didn't mention the cloudy water to Year Round because my previous pool guy told me I didn't know what I was talking about. When Year Round got back to us, same day, with the issue, a quick Google search confirmed the issues they identified do indeed create cloudy water. So now it was confirmed. Now Year Round is fixing it. Their communication, customer service and expertise is exactly what I was looking for. I now have the confidence, whether I'm here or not, that I have professionals taking care of the pool proactively, efficiently and to the highest standards. I used them in Summerville. They are hard to reach. Show up when they want and many times do not finish in the same day. Today, I finally fired them. The below situation is not the first time this has happened. I used this company for 3 seasons, and the maintenance guy for 7 years. As of 2025: In may I requested to have my sand changed out when opening the pool. Again called in June with the same request. I received a call back 7/7, Quick Note: (message was left at an old number that I requested for two years to change). The message was, we will be there tomorrow to change out. They gave no time. The issue with that is that I run an Air B n B and I just can not have people showing up. I called 8 am than 9. I called 5 times, all 5 times got an answering machine. I finally called again, got someone. Ask to speak with management after explaining issues with communication and service. The only thing they did was have the maintenance guy call me. I guess I should thank them, they were going to charge 600.00 to do it. I am doing it for myself now, 2 hours and about 50 dollars. DONT USE THIS COMPANY, COMMUNICATIONS IS NO GOOD. WORKMENSHIP HAS DROPPED. Workmanship. They opened my pool. Never checked operation. Left the pump sucking in Air. Put handrails in but did not put in the round sleeves. Had to call back to get them to tighten the pool because of air. Best service ever! First of all, thanks to my pool technician, TJ, I never have algae in my pool. This is saying something for a pool in the LowCountry! Secondly, when my pump motor stopped working, the company sent out John Edwards to take a look. We were sure we would need a new motor. Not only did he "take a look ", but he hunted down the reason it wasn't working and found that it wasn't the motor, but a problem with wiring. Whew! Hilton Head - I called to get a single or variable speed pump quote as my pump failed and my pool maintenance company gave a quote I thought was way too high. I am glad I called YRP. Called on Tuesday. Their service department gave me some proable causes and option and ball park prices. I scheduled for repairs on Thursday. They were able to come out on Wednesday. Analyzed the failure as just a bad motor which is what they thought to begin with. They replaced the motor and the pool was back up by 3PM. Their repair of the motor was 1/4 to 1/5 the prices I was quoted by my pool maintenance company. They literally saved me $2,000 dollars at a minium on what I thought was a price gouge from my pool maintenance company. They exceeded all my expecatations in response time and professionalism. Terrible customer service after my new pool install, do not recommend this company. My first problem occurred 18 months after pool completion. One of my three Pentair Globrite pool lights stopped working. After calling customer service I was informed that the lights are only warrantied for one year even though all the other pool equipment has a three year warranty. My other two lights quit working the following year. These three lights are $1500 + labor to replace and didn't last two years. The next issue occurred just within the three year warranty. The pool pump screen started malfunctioning so they agreed to replace the pump. After doing so the new pump started intermittently tripped the circuit breaker within three months of the install. Keep in mind this was a new pool install including all wiring. I called customer service about this explaining the problem in great detail. They sent a technician out to trouble shoot. I was not notified when he was coming so I was not home, but my security cams showed that he was on site for 10 minutes. After hearing nothing back from them I later received a bill for $209 stating the technician ran the pump at a higher Rpm and did not detect a problem. I previously explained to customer service that the pump only tripped the breaker intermittently, about once a month, and not just when running at higher rpm's which it does during every daily start up. I have tried to clear up this issue with their customer service multiple times to no avail and they continue to send my a past due invoice for a problem they were unable to solve. And to make matters worse, the new pump still trips the ground fault circuit breaker every month or two which could indicate a grounding/safety issue. read more

Had to have new motor installed because of a leaking water line corroded my original one. They Said everything was under warranty. 3 months later they called and said they made a mistake and wanted me to pay retail fir new pump plus labor, good luck trying to that !!! So many other reputable hit tub dealers, do your homework because wherever you buy it you're stuck with them because nobody else will service it if you didn't but it from them. We'll, YRP finally showed up the first week of December ( maybe because of my review?) to start digging ground for the pool. everything was going smoothly the wood forms were placed, the concrete got poured, the rebar was installed, the pvc tubing was installed. Everything was going great. we watched as piles of dirt at least 3 feet high in places were sitting around the concrete pool. Speaking to the Project Manager, the next steps are for the landscaper to come in and remove the dirt around the pool that was dug up and replace with "clean" dirt. I don't know what "clean" dirt means, but, if that means that the pieces of PVC that are in pieces approximately anywhere from 2-3 feet or longer and the wood forms used around the pool that are laying under and on top of the dirt should be removed prior to leveling the dirt? they were not removed. We watched as they covered up and buried those broken pieces as they were leveling SOME of the soil. I understand rain is a set back. However, the Project Mgr came and drained some of the water that pooled VERY deep into the ditches dug for the PVC, prior to the dirt leveling. He did not drain the big ditches saying it will drain off. It hasn't. now the landscaper says he can't fill the ditches to complete the leveling because there too much water. they have to wait till it dries up. I'm here to tell you that with the amount of water still there and the rain that comes on and off, it will NEVER drain on its own. The salesrep happened to call yesterday about a separate issue so I asked about all the standing water and the PVC and wood removal. This is the answer I got. Well, there's nothing they can do to drain off the water. It's got to dry up so they can finish leveling the ground around the pool. (which will now hold up installation of the concrete surround and the birdcage footings.) Also, as far as burying the PVC and wood pieces, it should be fine as they won't biodegrade. (HUH?) it's now a week since the last rain, the pools of water ARE going down at a very slow rate. More rain is expected on and off from now until who knows when. so I guess I'm right back where we were 2 months ago. Waiting, waiting and waiting. for what and until when? read more

Year Round serviced our pool for over 10 years. They were recently purchased by another company and their entire accounting system changed. There were discrepancies regarding what they had billed vs. what we had paid. In addition, we had been paying them annually which resulted in a discount; however, they no longer offer that payment process; therefore, rather than writing one check per year they now demand payment monthly. They were very rude to us and not willing to adjust their process to what we have been accustomed to the last 10 years. Obviously, we have moved on and are now working with another pool company. Given that we were long term customers it is sad that they elected to ignore the needs of their long term clients.. read more

Don't make the call! My Wife and I have bought, sold, rented and renovated 7 or 8 homes over the last 10 years. In New Jersey and Hilton Head. This is by far the worst company we have ever had to deal with. Bright spot Danielle, who sold us our Hot Tub. It is too bad she works for this company. Hot Tub purchased and delivered. From the first time we tried to use it ourselves, not all the jets seem to work. Like any man, read manual, played with knobs and buttons, nothing. Called Danielle. Without any notice, my wife sees a gentlemen by our Tub one day. I go out, introduce myself. By the look on his face, I knew this didn't look good. He informs me it is not right, but he is not the regular tech, so he doesn't know what's wrong. Once again, no communication from company, another guy shows up, but we don't know this. So I call to see what's going on, to which I get to Amber. She is by far the rudest person I have ever come across dealing with our homes. She rudely informs me that 1 of the motors is bad, needed to order a new one, 2 weeks. So now I try to have the conversation about communications to the customer, on top of a brand new tub that needs a new motor. Then I get lectured about post covid supply chains. I fully understand that aspect of the world, but her attitude, I really could not understand. I'm getting barked at because their lack of proper information to the paying client!!! Low and behold 16 days later, I call, and get put though to Miss Personality (Amber). Once again, short, snippy. Then she informs me nastily, the Tech has your part and is scheduled to be there today. OH!, again thanks for the prior notice. So shortly after she got my blood pressure to rise, Craig the regular tech shows up to replace motor. I happened to see him heading toward my home as I was leaving a reno project we had just purchased up the street form our home. By time I walked back home to greet Craig who already had the panel off to get to the guts. I'm looking at his puzzled look, to which he informs me that it is not the motor, it is the Mother Board. It is not putting out enough juice to the second motor. So 3 guys later, wrong part, more time if we are lucky enough to find one, what's not to be annoyed about! Needless to say, I'm in Pinehurst a couple weeks later with some guys enjoying golf and as we finish I get a call from Year Round, I step away from the group to answer call. I wish I had the view my friends had as Amber got my NY Italian going with her non caring, non helpful, great customer service to which the phone call ended with, "If you don't like it, Call Ted!" Hang up! Thru a mutual friend, I was able to sent Frank F who is involved with Year Round, my displeasure. He responded by putting me in touch with Beniot, who is supposedly Amber's boss. He did call me, and for my 15 minute walk from home to home he apologized for varies things, supply chain, etc, but not once did he address Amber, until I stopped he and point blank told him the biggest root of my frustration. I also informed him that we were starting a renovation project that we wanted to put a pool in, how could I give them the job? Stupid me, yes they promised a better experience. We signed on in October 2022. Pool was designed, deposit given, and without going into 3 more pages of that history and story, I promise you, it too is filled with frustration and anger. Fired them as soon as my Wife and I walked out of Hilton Head Town Hall after we were told that they are no pending permits in the system for our property. Again, since Frank F, told me they (Year Round) did everything right, and my story is not factual, I felt I needed to tell a long story to show I know the timeline and the facts. I have been to Town Hall 3 times for the purpose of our pool permit with our new installer. I have questioned the nice people there about their systems, and that with a couple added tales told to us from the town, confirms, that Year Round Pools, gives all it's potential clients the run around, (in my opinion) Ours was filled with lies, bullshit, and passing the buck blame. We then argued over deposit money. I got lectured by Frank that they have been down this road before and I will not win. I accepted the fact they did some work. Drawings, time invested. $7000.00 deposit. I was arguing the $1600.00 for a pool sold. Is that pool in the ground? Did we get a construction permit? NO! How is it sold. I told them if they needed that $1600.00, enjoy, if they really wanted to do the right thing, Give me the $1600.00 and I'll take it right down to an animal shelter and donated it. Needless to say, it is not worth a court battle over this sum of money, so I guess he wins. Pentair contacted Year Round Pool to fix my warranty pool issues. The service team called me, set up an appointment the next day. Jimmy came out, identified the problem, gathered what he needed, and came back the very next day and repaired all the issues. I can't say enough about how great they were. Another company from Beaufort SC that I first contacted ( not a bright idea, on my part ) .......get it........couldn't figure it out, and made a bigger mess than what I started with. Jimmy spent the time to realize not only what my problem was from the start, but how the other company made it worse by sticking their nose in it, ripping it apart, then never coming back to finish and fix it. We have had are permit for our pool since April 7,2021. Year round pool came out and started working on our pool. We were so pleased so see everything moving forward. Now forward to today's date 08/15/2021, we have had them at our house once working on the pool since May. I had tried calling with no return call initially. They did then connect me to someone named Nick. As I was told by Nick the second week of June, they are working on 66 pools and are having guys call off. My pool was on schedule and they will be out when it was my turn on their schedule. Two more weeks pass no word on my pool and no one has shown up. I went into the showroom and they have me talk with Paul. He tells me how the dropped the ball and need to get the an engineer for a matter that should have been done back in April. So there continues to be a lack of communication. My pool and yard have been a mess since May. So frustrated and not sure where else to go to get this matter handled properly. read more

Use these guys if you have to, but don't use them if you can help it. They don't meet deadlines, and they're not responsive - but they sure do send their bills on time. Here's our story: we finished all design and permitting work in January 2022. Yearround's "finish team" started the first week of February 2022, but they haven't "finished" yet -- over 6-1/2 months later. They told me the pool would be done in 3-4 months, so we expected it by Memorial Day. Then they promised 4th of July. Then, the end of July. Now, they've stopped promising. Why has it taken so long? The excuses are endless. I now believe it's just incompetence. The weather hasn't been bad for Hilton Head - no hurricanes or tropical storms - and all the checks were sent as soon as requested, so we didn't hold them up. Maybe it's my "finish team" manager, but regardless, there's more than enough incompetence, excuses, and just plain sorriness to go around. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. read more
