An old school bakery that's been around for over 30+ years. Their signature dessert is their version of Boston Creme Pies. Super good! A big hit every time I bring it to BBQ parties. I buy them a few times a year. Boston Creme Pies: Perfectly lightly sweet and soft spongy cake layered with some fresh whipped cream. Comes in a variety of flavors: vanilla, chocolate, etc. Strawberry being my favorite. There are also the usually Chinese bakery items here, like buns and such. They are okay. Nothing out of the ordinary. You are really here to get the Boston creme pie! Birthday cakes can also be ordered here, with old fashioned designs though. Cake is nice and light and moist. I came back to Yeh's Bakery to pickup a 10" strawberry cake ($43) for a teamsgiving gathering at work. A few days prior, I called and placed my order. The staff member I spoke to on the phone was helpful and took down all my information like my phone number, which date I was coming to pick it up, the size and flavor of the cake, and if I wanted anything written on the cake. I told her I wanted "Happy Teamsgiving" written on it. When I arrived, the staff member asked me for my phone number and she went to the back to grab the strawberry cake and wrote on it. I asked for a knife and she put it on top of the box. Yeh's Bakery is still cash only, so make sure you bring cash. I always go to this bakery for one thing and one thing only. Their Boston crème cakes are absolutely heavenly. It is not only light and fluffy and but is also creamy and not too sweet. Yeh bakery has really good fruit cakes I've come here on a few occasions to purchase for a birthday celebration. The bakery itself is very small it's a take out restaurant there isn't a place to dine in. The service was quick and friendly they include a candle when a birthday cake is purchased also a cake topper that says happy birthday which is really nice. I've personally been coming here for 16 years and the quality is exactly the same as it was my first day trying out their buns, pastries, coffee, and cake. Every Chinese person in queens has to know about Yehs bakery. This is a no frills bakery whose specialty is the Boston Cream Pie, an extremely light and airy cake paired with a light and airy cream. If you know Asians (especially older ones), you know they love their sweets light and "not too sweet." The pies come in two flavors, vanilla and strawberry though I do wish they made a matcha version as their matcha cake are just as delicious. They also do wedding cakes but don't expect anything too extravagant in design. I've used them for baby showers and birthday parties and I've had friends use them for weddings. Love this place so much. I've gotten my birthday cake from this bakery for over 20 years, and they've been consistent every year (taro filling cake by the way). I have tried their other products over the years but generally the Boston cream pie and the roll cakes are the best things outside of the birthday cakes.
