Kagen Coffee & Crepes is the kind of coffee shop that's great for a group meet up or a place to catch up for some work on your laptop. They offer wifi and have plenty of tables and booths available. They offer a complete coffee menu, but as a non caffeine drinker, I opted for some tea. I also ordered a crepe. I appreciate that they offer the crepes in half or whole sizes so you can get a smaller snack. The monte cristo had ham and cheese with a side of jam. It was a good mix of sweet and savory!

Had the full chipotle chicken crepe for $14. It was alright. Lots of flavor in the chipotle ranch but the contents of the crepe itself was very bland. Like, no-salt-and-pepper kind of bland. You can't rely on just the sauce for all the flavor, you gotta season the contents too! Crepe itself was a little chewy and doughy. This was a super busy spot on a Sunday mid-morning. Cute place with lovely string lights on the ceiling. Didn't get to try the drinks (drinks in photo are from Novel Coffee). Go early if you're going on Sunday. Apparently lots of people drop in before/after church

Best crepes I've ever had! I got the cinammon banana cheesecake gluten free crepe and my daughter got the same thing. I couldn't stop eating it ,it was so delicious! My daughter got an amazing drink(cant remember the name) and the coffee I got was superb!! I've eaten here once before and I would come back again!

Looking for savory! Looking for sweet? You will find signature crepes and some seasonal approaches to delicious food and drink options, The seating area and outside area is pleasant! You can also watch how your meal is prepared and finished! I love places that being the kitchen to you. No hidden compartments. Plexi-glass to cure your curiosity. And, yes, I will be inviting my family to enjoy this place again and again! It is the perfect blend of neighborhood hangout meets the modern world! The tastes of THE CHICKEN crepe with pesto & THE CINNAMON BANANA CHEESECAKE, with a side of an Americano is spectacular! The drinks are the side dishes to the crepes. Italian soda, with Bobba pops just completed the experience for any child who is curious! Chin chin!!

The overall look of Kagens is very cute. It could use more booths rather than tables but that's just a personal preference. I did not like my coffee at all, it was very watered down and had no flavor. But the crepes were delicious. We got a savory and sweet crepe. The people making the crepes are very quick. The barista was pretty slow that day. They might've been new to the job so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt.

Loved my chai. Had great flavor and perfect amount of sweet. Crepes were super underwhelming. Flavors lacked. We ordered breakfast in bed and lemon strawberry. I wouldn't order crepes again but will come back for drinks. Lots of great seating and staff was friendly.

It's been a minute since I was here... but the crepes are still SO INGRAINED IN MY TASTE BUDS. I came here with my bestie Christian for breakfast and it was so yummy! I ordered a lemon strawberry crepe and he got the cinnamon and banana crepes! Both were so delicious we ended up sharing! Their coffee is pretty good too. Service was pretty basic - after placing there's little interaction. The location can also accommodate quite a large amount of people so no need to worry about not having a seat!

morning session finished early and the afternoon class starts late so we have time for lunch!! so it's back to the uptown mall to see a bear about crepes and coffee :-) middling crowd sipping coffee so I mosey up to the counter and ask for a monte cristo and a large drip. turns out them need to make new coffee so I wait a few minutes before getting hollered. biggest problem with fresh coffee is that it is impossible to drink... so I wait bit and my crepe comes up and I wander over to get it and my coffee has cooled enough to sip at while I dine. yea! not really sure exactly what I was expecting from my crepe but in real life a monte cristo is supposed to be a flavor party in every bite... and this just wasn't that. the fruits wasn't bad but the cheese was too little and too thin, the ham was far from hammy or robust. yes it looked all crepey but when you give it someone else's name it ought to resemble that someone else :-\ so yeah, nice location, pleasant staff, good coffee, and a great bear but do yourself a flavor and Count the Monte Cristo out.

Really great place, I could sing praises about their crepes all day long and how outstanding they are compared to any and all other crepes that you could get anywhere else! Kagen's has an impressively creative list of options on their menu! You can tell they designed it in a way that would ensure they have something to offer everyone. Coffee is overpriced, especially considering the quality of it isn't the best. But that is really the only complaint that I have about Kagen's. This place is a great choice for any occasion, any day of the week. read more

Vegan crepes!! Vegan muffins!! Some of the best cold brew I've ever had!! Friend and I came here, unknowingly, on Harry Potter day - which meant there were tooons of people in the shop celebrating with their themed butter beer drinks, baked goods, etc. Friend (non vegan) ordered a "Slytherin Snickerdoodle" and an egg, black bean, tomato, and spinach crepe while I got the same crepe (minus the egg) with vegan batter. First of all, I will say that it is EXTREMELY difficult to find vegan crepes at all - much less in the Tri Cities. That being said, these savory crepes were sort of lack luster. The fillings didn't have a ton of volume/flavor, which I assumed would be there for $12 a pop. Next time, we want to try their sweet crepes instead! I also had a vegan pumpkin muffin + cold brew. Both were good, but that cold brew was BOMB. So strong and flavorful! Overall, I think we'll be back. I really appreciate the effort made by this shop to serve a variety of customers! read more

Food was a monumental letdown. I tried the crepe mentioned by most reviewers, the monte cristo, and it was literally sandwich meat and cheese with jam on the side. No flavor beyond the overwhelming lunch meat taste. The iced latte was alright- nothing to write home about. read more

Their crepes aren't bad, I do like how they mix up their menu and serve savory crepes and dessert crepes. Every-time I go in though and order a London fog or a coffee it's always too hot and I have to wait an hour to even attempt to drink it. read more

Heavens to Betsie what fantastic food. The portion sizes are amazing and well worth it. This was my second visit , the first time I just had a latte. The girl behind the counter was friendly, helpful and sweet. On my second visit I met a friend and we ordered our coffee and crepes and sat down. Coffee took about five minutes and crepes about ten. All but one table were occupied and with two gals working I thought they did a great job getting coffee and crepes out. I love that you can stand there and watch the crepes being made. One thing I would change if I was owner would be making it a little more personal by not shouting out what you made / or persons name but rather remembering who ordered what and just bringing it to them.. a their person would be useful for that, and maybe with time they will get there. I'd also say is they will soon need some more space, seems to be a happening little spot! A nice addition to Uptown! read more

I finally made it out to Kagen, and I was not disappointed! The crepes are a decent size, and made just right, with simple, effective flavors. I went with the banana/pb on my first visit, but I can't wait to try the more savory options next time. The coffee is good, with all the standard options and flavors you would expect at a good coffee shop in WA state. The shop is cute and lively, and a couple of the tables are checkerboard tops if you're in the mood for hanging out and playing games. My only complaint is that there isn't some kind of mini crepe option to try multiple crepes in one visit;)! read more

The crapes are okay at best, a little spendy for the quality. The coffee on the other hand is the reason for the low rating. I got a tall vanilla latte that came with extra ground coffee in it. I didn't want to take it back because it took her longer to make the coffee than it did for both the crapes to come up. My friend asked for a cold brew with coconut milk and they just filled a cup up with cold brew and set the curdled coconut milk next to it, which btw was the last thing to come up. $30 for 2 awful coffees and 2 mediocre crapes was a bit much read more

I love the coffee and the environment. The seating is really clean and nice, and there's a lot of outdoor seating options as well. The staff is very courteous. The crepes are always on point and it is nice to see them make it right in front of you. Another tip: their lattes come with 4 shots. That sounds good to me! Highly recommended for catching up with friends or setting up to do some work/homework. read more

Stopped by at this place for breakfast while driving back to Seattle. Spacious cafe which can seat up to 28 people. I enquired if I could modify the crepe to suit my dietary requirement and the staff obliged. I got myself a crepe of spinach, egg and chicken with pesto sauce . There are various other combos and sauces available. I can't quite recollect them. The lady who took our order was the one cooking as well. Being an open kitchen cafe you can see her/staff whip up food. Once we sat down a lot of families started flocking in. The sweet crepes the kids were eating looked delicious . I reminded myself why I shouldn't eat them (FML) and focused on my crepe. I have always been annoyed with how little the seasoning is in crepes, eggs here in America. Sure I can add salt and pepper but it's not the same. I was happy to have had some good food as the entire weekend had been fried food, bread or diner food. You should give this place a try. read more

Our family breakfast go-to. Kiddo loves the strawberry Nutella crepe. I rotate around the savory menu. They are great with substitutions and alterations (I don't love spinach and they happily go light on it for me). Im not a coffee drinker so I can't speak to their coffee drinks, but the Italian sodas are top notch! read more

Then their bacon which I've had before, one of the pieces was cooked well, but the other was undercooked and not crisped at all and chewy. I had to throw it out. Then, the side of potatoes are seasoned well, but as soon as I bit into it, it wasn't even cooked all the way through. They were almost borderline crunchy in the middle. To say this was a disappointing breakfast is an understatement.

The food was delicious, the restaurant was very clean and beautifully aesthetic, and we loved that they also had outdoor seating. Even the bathrooms were spotless, which always says a lot about a place. Our experience started a little rough because the first lady serving us didn't seem very welcoming or interested in helping us, and at times came across a bit rude. However, the sweet girl and the gentleman who took over later completely turned the experience around. They were kind, attentive, and made sure our group was well taken care of throughout the party. Their service really made a difference and helped make the celebration enjoyable. Overall, we had a lovely time and would definitely come back for the food and atmosphere.

We had a reservation and were sat pretty quickly by the hostess. The hostess also took our drink orders and brought them to us. That is where it all changed. We were quite hungry, and wanted to order not only dinner but an appetizer as well. We waited and waited and waited and waited. There were plenty of servers, but none would acknowledge us. We kept raising our hands and trying to get someone's attention to serve us, but no one would make eye contact with us. Other tables were getting waited on (about 6), but we weren't. Thirty minutes in, we joked about about driving to Carl's Jr and getting served would be quicker than here. We were about to give up when my partner was finally able to get someone's attention almost 40 minutes in. This is where our experience all changed again. Lo and behold, our saving grace was Jimmy, the chef. We didn't know he was the chef, we just wanted to order. He had the best attitude and took care of us the rest of the night. He apologized for the lack of service and waited on us promptly. We were able to order more drinks, our appetizer, and dinners through him. As soon as he got to the kitchen, Lacey then started to check on us the rest of the night. She apologized for not waiting on us earlier, she (and everyone else) had thought we were already being waited on because we had wine. Jimmy and Lacey were attentive to us the rest of the evening. So much so, that we didn't want to leave. Jimmy's positive attitude was so infectious and we absolutely fell in love with him. He (and Lacey) apologized for the mis-hap and comped some of our dinner such as the appetizer and the wine, I believe. Jimmy took the time to explain his culinary experience, and personal goals... we had such a great time getting to know him. Regarding the food, it was all amazing. He did such an amazing job. We loved it all so much. He then recommended a desert, also free of charge. He treated us so well. We came back another night with a gift for him, but he unfortunately was not working. The last three individuals to get their food were served around an hour and 15 minutes after the order was placed. I ordered the chop salad and the bruschetta appetizer. The chop salad had very little salami or cheese as described on the menu. The bruschetta was actually bread slices, not toasted, with a soft cheese spread and raw mushrooms. It was not very appetizing. My husband ordered the pasta carbonara and both of us, after one bite, described it as incredibly salty. We are huge carbonara fans and have ordered it at restaurants and made it at home many times. He picked out the guanciale and left about a third of the pasta because the salt level was off the chart! If we had not waited so long for our food already and been just the two of us, we would definitely have sent the pasta back. Much better restaurants in the area. Hopefully they get their act together because the location is awesome.

My wife recently ordered the "signature" Fish Tacos from 3 Eyed Fish, and to call this a "fish…read moretaco" is a massive stretch. In reality, it's a raw cabbage taco with a hint of fish essence--or perhaps a cabbage taco with a fish surprise, if you're lucky. After she gave up and ate just one, she brought the rest home. I actually measured the piece of fish inside: a staggering 1.5 inches by 1 inch. That was it. One single, tiny nugget per taco, buried at the very bottom of the shell. Because of this, you have to choke down several mouthfuls of completely raw cabbage before you finally reach your single bite of fish. To make matters worse, that one bite of fish was terrible. They apparently brine it in a way that leaves it aggressively, unpalatably salty. While the menu claims the taco comes with "slaw," it is just heaps of dry, raw cabbage. There was so much of it that you couldn't even see the three corn tortillas until you went digging through the vegetation. The sheer lack of seafood in a "signature" fish dish is appalling. Save your money--unless you really, really love overpriced plates of shredded cabbage.

Came in the about a week ago and ordered, 1) Black bean crepe, 1) ham and eggs crepe and 1) pesto chicken crepe; all crepes with cheese of course, no requests were made to alter from their original. One each: cortado, dippio and large hot mocha. I went in around 9 a.m on a weekday. I've driven by on other occasions and often saw they were usually quite busy. I was lucky this day, which was why I stopped. Glad I did. Between three adults and two dogs we had more than enough to share so we all could sample. We all agree, as well as two picky eating dogs , this place rocks!! Everything ordered was awesomeliciousness!!!!! We'd love to see eventually an all veggie crepe, or a 'build your own' crepe with an array of organic fresh vegetables. Just the thought of that is making my mouth water. But in the meantime, even if my crepe fantasy never comes to light, we'll still be happy with the small crepe menu because all three were that yummy, with the black bean and chicken as my favorites, I'm not a ham person. I'd heard from others that the service is slow, especially the coffee station, but like I said, I got there at a great time and so, service was very efficient and quick. A friend went in the other day, after I mentioned how much we enjoyed the crepes, she brought me back a 'ham and egg' lol, my least favorite, forgot to tell her that but, still good. I saved it for the following day, pooped it in the oven to heat it and it came out toasted, so not lying, it was even better than those we got fresh!!!! We are big time fans !! Theres something to be said about a small business that hits the mark of excellence in every area of hospitality, quality, experience, and overall satisfaction. Kagen has done such a thing. The owner, management, and staff have nailed it when it comes to taking care of their customers. They go above and beyond to make sure everyone leaves with a smile on their face and good coffee and food in their belly's. Their passion for their craft shows in the quality and taste of their coffee and crepes. And as a former barista(not Starbucks), and somewhat of a coffee snob, I appreciate the time and effort they put into making the perfect cup of joe. Also, being severely celiac, finding a restaurant that not only has gluten free options, but sets extra time aside just to make sure my meal is safe, is a hard thing to come by. That is why I drive 20+ minutes just to get a crepe here made with love and attention. The atmosphere here is inviting, warm, hip, and perfect for either a day of study, or brunch with friends and family. There is no doubt that Kagen's is/will be a staple of the TRI-Cities for years to come. read more

Kagen's Coffee & Crepes is a gem in Richland. The atmosphere feels cozy and welcoming, almost like a small European café, and it's a great spot to relax or meet up with friends. The crepes are fresh and flavorful -- both the sweet and savory options are worth trying -- and the coffee is consistently strong and well-made (their Americanos and chai are standouts). The staff is friendly and genuine, though it can get busy at times, so service may be a little slower when the café is full. Still, the quality of the food and drinks makes it worth the wait. I first went here when they opened in the Richland Uptown location. I was pleased with the quality & taste. I revisited it recently & it was even better than before. They have a bigger selection than the last time I had been there & I was impressed with everyone's crepes. We had 3 different ones this time (sharing as a group to try them) & we cant wait to try the many other varieties! The seasonal pumpkin cream crepe is my favorite thing in this world. I also enjoy the Montana mocha. The servers are fast and friendly. Even when it's super busy I'm never waiting for long. The quality of the coffee is CONSISTENT, which is a huge problem at many small shops in the Tri-Cities. I'm assuming their baristas all received the same training. I recommend this place to all my brunch loving friends. read more

Came in here on a Sunday with a date, they were absolutely packed so there was a pretty decent wait for our crepes. But in all fairness there were only 3 people working and the place was packed so it was understandable, and the crepes were without a doubt worth the wait. Pretty decent coffee too!
