Based on the only other review here for River City Cab, I decided to call them and get a quote for the fare to the airport if they picked me up at 4AM..... I am calling from Pacific coast time zone, so my call to them was at 1:15AM their time on a Sunday/Monday (obviously not a great time to call and get a quote, but only time I had to do it!) Missy was friendly, professional, knew exactly where my pick up location was and was not hesitant to give me a very reasonable quote for the trip. I'm already impressed even before I get there!

I purchased a ticket from Peoria for a trip from ORD to ISR on June 8, 12:30. My flight arrived…read moreearlier (scheduled for 10:15 but arrived at 10:00). I went to the bus terminal on 10:20 and the driver told me that I needed to pay $20 transfer fee. There were plenty of available seats on the bus so I called Peoria customer service. They told me that it was too late to transfer through them so I had to pay the $20 fee to the driver. I rode on Peoria twice before and remember seeing people with tickets on a different time board on buses. My bus from ISR to ORD was delayed for almost an hour -- after driving 30 minutes, the driver drove us back and asked us to switch to another bus. Luckily I did not miss my flight but Peoria did not offer monetary compensation for their delay. My experience shows that Peoria cares little about their customers.

If only they could figure out how to not burn the bacon which we figure is the "already cooked" kind, which they refry to heat; invariably hard. My suggestion: I find heating in a microwave on DEFROST is often the best solution, even to reheat pizza. No nuking. You shouldn't go hungry from the offered selection but you may have difficulty getting bread or bagel toasted. Guests constantly complain about it and it has never gotten fixed. Yes it's annoying. You're in a hurry, you're hungry, you're making other people wait, etc. I mean, what's the cost of a couple good-working toasters?

I would not recommend Byerly Aviation; they did subpar work, overcharged me, and failed to stand…read morebehind their work. Once they had the plane in their shop, it became a very low priority. I heard every excuse in the book. They were working on a plane from a foreign country, and they had to get it out before mine; the mechanics were out sick. Or another aircraft had been there for months, and they were going to work on it before mine. I complained to the owner, and he referred me back to the lead mechanic who was giving me the excuses. When my plane was finally "finished," they charged me over $100,000. I had a bad feeling about the shop, so I decided to have a ferry pilot fly the plane back to me. On the flight home, the aircraft had a gear failure; the landing gear would not retract. This was the second leg of the flight, and the shop doesn't warranty anything after the first leg. If you read the logbook entry, you will see how many mistakes the shop made on the original repair. Had I been flying, the cost of the repair would have been mine. Once I got the plane back home, it was still not right. I ended up taking it into another repair facility two more times. Once, because the brake caliper was bright red and smoking when I landed. Luckily, the wheel didn't lock up. It had not been properly adjusted during the annual. They also overfilled one of the engines with oil, and it was hemorrhaging oil every time I shut it down. When I brought the poor service and workmanship to the owner's attention, he threatened me, saying he would sue me for slander because it was not true. I provided him with two of the three logbook entries, and then the legal threats stopped, and no apology or refund was offered. After this incident occurred on my plane, I never felt safe in the aircraft. The worst part was that after the work was done, the engineering firm that did some work on the plane made comments on social media about my aircraft, and Bruce, the owner, did as well. My privacy was of no concern to this shop.
