My wife recommended this place and I'm glad I listened to her because it was amazing! From beginning to end everything was a great experience. The hostess was very nice and made conversation on the way to our table. Our waiter was polite, personable and attentive. The bread they bring out is my new favorite thing to eat as I wait for the mail meal. Our food was delicious! I had the ribs and definitely will come back for more. On another note, my wife and I noticed a visually impaired employee working there. She folded the cutlery and wrapped it, I appreciate this establishment for giving her that opportunity. We grabbed take out from Yellow Dog Eats. Really easy order online process. When we arrived, we grabbed a space at the front and there was a tent for food pick up. The food was delicious! We got a coleslaw and caprese side. The sandwich came with a little small side of coleslaw, so I'm glad we got the actual side because the coleslaw is so good. I got the Club Elvis, and for $1.00 more made it "drunk". Worth the extra dollar!! So filling and so good! It does get really sloppy with the extra sauce, but worth it! read more

I ordered the WTF wrap (what the Fig- pulled pork with bacon & a fig dressing), my family had the Holy Crap (turkey club), Buffalo soldier (Buffalo chicken salad wrap), and a classic club sandwich. Everyone was ecstatic with their choices, the food was quick coming out and that right level of warm. My WTF pulled pork was well seasoned with light bbq so that it would not be over powered with the Fig spread. Service - If eating in you order at the counter, get a buzzer, and eat at any open table. They will clean up after your table. If take out you go to the window lock up and go. Location - they are located in the middle of Gotha, at a T intersection. They have about 7 spots in the front, a parking lot in the back for about 30 and a parking lot across the street for an other 30 cars. But don't worry even when the parking lots seem full you can find a place to eat and relax. Ambiance - the vibe is eclectic and quirky, very 60s or 70s vibe with an old VW van. AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! Cool vibes! It reminds me of a key west bar/restaurant. There are pockets of tables that are like being in your own restaurant. Some tables are isolated so it feels like it's the birthday table. I tried the vegetarian tacos and I'm in the love. There are different elements of flavor and texture. It comes with three tacos and a bag of chips. I could only eat two tacos. I have one taco to my boyfriend and saved the bag of chips. The boyfriend loved his sandwich. I'm between a 3.5-4 on my rating. I really liked their quirky atmosphere, outdoor seating, and hand wash station (yes!!!!). Staff were very friendly and helpful. I also loved the large selection of vegetarian and pescatarian options. I had the jerk cauliflower tacos (went for the poke tacos but they were sold out). The tacos were delicious and a perfect potion. My husband was underwhelmed with his plain pulled pork sandwich. He said the bun was cold and honestly it did look like a cafeteria scoop of pork on top of a cold bun. We also ordered the curry chicken wrap, which my daughter said was just ok, and a more dressed up version of the pulled pork sandwich. This one had bacon and slaw. My youngest enjoyed that sandwich and it looked better than my husband's plain sandwich. I would definitely return to try the other veggie and fish options. read more

Been there many times and the atmosphere is always nice. The restaurant is in an old house, which is very cool and definitely local. The patio is pretty big and all covered, not the best when it rains but still provides extra seating when it is packed. Quite some drink options, the food is overall pretty good including desserts, many choices and options. I'm in Orlando almost every weekend, & I try to make Yellow Dog a stop most of the time. The atmosphere is great-- it's in a repurposed home with an upstairs & outdoor area. I wasn't a huge barbecue person, & I really wouldn't even consider myself one now, but Yellow Dog pulled pork sandwiches are in their own league. It's Fish's gold sauce that makes Yellow Dog different from & above the rest. If you're lucky, you might even see him around! He convinced my boyfriend & I to get their orange dreamsicle cake, & we're glad he did. I always get the same thing because it's hard to stray from a good thing. I've never met a disappointed diner at this eatery. Today's visit brought me to YDE because I have not eaten out in a while due to the world pandemic. I called to place my order, and found that they were open but had a limited menu. The Kitty Kat sandwich that I've enjoyed for over 2 decades was not on today's limited menu. Kayla, who had answered the phone, could sense my disappointment. I told Kayla that I did not eat meat, so the fish sandwiches on the YDE menu were my only options. She asked me if I had tried the Sweet Potato Tico Tacos. I hadn't. My goal to support YDE restaurant required I try a new dish, since YDE had served me so well for two decades. So I ordered the Sweet Potato Taco Tico--still a little skeptical. I just got back from YDE and took a bit of the first taco. It was BEYOND fantastic. Tangy, spicy, sweet, crisp vegetables, flavorful sauce. Amazingly satisfying. I suppose this review supports what so many other diners have said: the food at YDE is amazing. Based off initial menu glances, pulled pork seemed to be the right move. A large variety of sandwiches grace the stage, and to say the least, the decision to pick one of these bad dudes was extremely difficult. The a-ha moment came to me when I picked up our order at the counter. Piled high, the only thing worthy of being called the Drunken Pig, sat boldly in front of my eyes. Without a doubt, this beauty would be one of the most photogenic sandwiches I'd encounter this year. Bacon curls, sharp cheddar, gold BBQ sauce, pulled pork, scallions, soft bun, and a side of beer cheese. Woah, say what?! Absolutely delicious. My friends got baby back ribs and a white trash. This was the first time and they love the place. The bartender was nice. We got to order food at the bar. Got desert to go, bacon Carmel brownie and coconut cake. So nom nom nom. 1 year ago Have had this bookmark and also on thrill list has it listed as in top 50 bbq joints. So went to lunch with my son, his gf and the princess of orlando. It out of the city and in an out building. Parking lot is a dirt one and when walking up to it there was a old bus as their sign. You get in line and place your order and take a sit. They call out your number. I got the pulled pork sandwich and 1/2 rack of ribs to share. I took tomato's and mozzarella ball drizzled with basmatic glaze. The sauce is a gold sauce. The meat is piled high smothered in sauce. The ribs could have used more sauce. Let's start with the ribs, the sliced the ribs for you, had a dry rub with sauce on the side. The meat was tender flavorful but not falling off the bones. I prefer my ribs saucy. Onto the pulled pork sandwich. Omg this is the best pulled pork and sauce I have had. Bun soft and sandwich was very tasty and messy. In my opinion best bbq in orlando. Also took home some deserts. I try the bacon Carmel brownie, omg this was so frigging good. For desert it's in my top 2. Also got the chocolate cake for evening movie. Overall deco was nice, you don't get table service.
