Ok so all boxes checked. Food beyond delicious. Service with a smile and joke or two. This playlist needs its own grammy. This is definitely becoming a part of my regular rotation.

I spent my one solo night in St. Louis checking out the spots my work team didn't want to venture away from the burbs for. And I'm so glad I did. Yellowbelly is an absolute gem. Friendly bartenders, unique cocktails, tasty bites, and a fantastic ambiance. This would be a repeat spot for me if I lived in STL.

Delicious food and I appreciate that they have an allergen menu since we had several allergies in our party. Drinks were also so fun and varied. Prices are a bit high but the quality does match it so worth it for a nice celebratory meal. Service was fine and I like the indoor decor and seating options overall.

First time coming here to try their burger (after having it saved for so long). It was pretty busy but we got seats at the bar. I also got a drink for the cup - Escape from Black Cat Mountain. The miso onions add a deep, savoury flavour you don't usually get on a burger. It comes with two patties (which is a lot for me but I ended up finishing it). The GF bun has a slightly less flavour than brioche-style buns but it wasn't dry. The fries had a rich flavour from the beef fat (gives it a bit of a steakhouse-level savouriness). It's crispy on the outside but still fluffy inside. The portion was generous too. Overall, the vibes were great. There's lots of seating in the back as well but like I said, it was pretty packed. I would most likely come back and try their other dishes as well (I'll be booking a table next time!).

I've been to Lazy Tiger a lot but haven't explored Yellowbelly a lot. Came here late on a Saturday and were able to snag a reservation online. They have an amazing food and drink menu. It's the same as Lazy Tiger for food and unique drinks. I recommend the street corn taquitos and the coconut tiramisu!! I got the kiwi mojito (it has a cute name I just don't remember) and it was SO GOOD! Today we tried the beef fat fries and the ceviche, both were amazing, and got the tiramisu to split. We all enjoyed it all. Our waitress was amazing! She was super helpful with answering our questions and recommending great things! She was very knowledgeable about the menu. I will definitely be coming back! Parking isn't always super easy in central west end but it's worth it to come here.

I can't say enough good things about Yellowbelly! We have been eating here since they have opened and are never disappointed! Their service is on point and we love the coastal Hawaiian vibes of the restaurant. Every item from the fries/potatoes to their steaks to their desserts never miss! 10/10 I always recommend Yellowbelly!!

Came for happy hour on a Thursday, and got a seat at the bar. Had a delightful tropical old fashioned, a very generous portion of crispy beef fat fries with a kick, and a perfect-sized "mini" BBQ chicken slider (I can usually only eat half a burger anyways). Service was attentive and the vibe was quirky and uplifting. I'd come back!

We had a 5:30 reservation and were seated immediately and got to enjoy the last bit of happy hour. We ordered several small plates and were not disappointed! Our favorites were the crab fritters, small poke bowl, and kimchi raw oysters, which were all reasonably priced. The restaurant itself was giving tropical but cozy vibes and tables ranged from family dinners to dates to girls night. Overall, one of my favorite spots in STL so far!

Super flavorful food! Umami AF. Very chill vibe. Love all the greenery! highly recommend this place for girls night or a date night for adventurous eaters. One coworker had the pork chop entree, it was so tender!!! My other coworker had the salmon green curry and it was probably all of our favorite! Delicious!!

Oh my goodness! If my palate could throw a party and invite a restaurant, it would definitely be Yellowbelly! We tried so many different dishes and drinks, and each one took us on its own flavorful journey. From the crispy, sweet, and juicy coconut shrimp to the perfectly seasoned oyster bites every bite was a hit! And that piña colada... wow! So creamy, smooth, and refreshing it instantly made me want to grab a beach chair and order three more. The customer service was absolutely top tier, too! I can't wait to go back. Whether you're planning a date night or just a fun night out, Yellowbelly is the place to be!

Went to yellow belly for dinner on a Wednesday! Make a reservation no matter what day you go; they get super busy. We went to check out their happy hour menu. For my girl dinner, I ordered the painkiller, and the frozen pornstar martini, and their French fries. Let me just say their French fries are TO DIE FOR. Also a super good portion for $5. My boyfriend got the chicken burger, coconut tiramisu, and a dessert. All of which he said was super good. We made our reservation for 5 right when they open and I will say until they're busy all the waiters just stand near the bar, and there's a large amount of them. This took away from the ambiance for me personally. Since there was literally 6+ people doing nothing but standing near my table for at least 20 minutes. This unfortunately brings my review down to 3 stars. Other than that it would've been a perfect five.

I've been to Yellow Belly for Brunch but this was my first dinner there and I left so impressed. The atmosphere was perfect for a girls night and the staff was super welcoming and offered lots of recommendations when asked. I ordered the Frio Fresco that Knesha our sever recommended and absolutely loved it. We shared the shrimp ceviche and beef fat fries between three ladies and it was perfect. The Coconut Tiramisu for dessert is a must! I will be dreaming about that Tiramisu for 10-12 business days. Everything was delicious! I don't think you can go wrong with anything you order at Yellow Belly.

    Do they have bar seating?

Yes they do - matter of fact, I ate dinner at the bar last time I was there.

    What is the dress code?

Jeans and a nice shirt wouldn't be out of place at all. There's a bit of variance, but it's not too dressy. I would only feel out of place in leisure/athletic clothes

    Do they offer Outdoor seating?

They currently are offering limited table seating out in front of the restaurant. Same side as the orange theory next door

    Kid friendly for lunch time?

Not open for lunch, opens at 4:00 PM

Would you bring a 2-year old here?

    Probably not, small space

Do they take reservations besides being on no wait app?

Unfortunately, they do not take reservations. However, you can download the No Wait app and wait list yourself/your party.

    What are their hours?

    4-11p

Are you taking reservations? Can I bring a party of 6 on Thursday, say 7pm?

They don't take reservations but may have their No Wait functionality established by now.

I tried the Pretty in Pink cocktail, which was well-balanced and enjoyable, though the pour felt a bit light for a martini. Normally one martini gives me a slight buzz, but that wasn't the case here. We started with the onion rings as an appetizer. The portion size was generous, and they were tasty overall, though they had a tangy seasoning dusted on top that seemed a little odd at first. Surprisingly, it still worked. I ordered the Good Burger, and it was honestly one of the most flavorful smash burgers I've ever had. I was genuinely impressed. I got the sauce on the side since it also came with the onion rings, and unfortunately, I wasn't a fan of it -- it was a bit runny and lacked flavor. My friend ordered the vegan burger and absolutely loved it. The inside of the restaurant was cute and had a great atmosphere, though there was an unusual smell indoors, so I was very thankful we were able to grab one of the outdoor tables. Outdoor seating is pretty limited, though, so keep that in mind if you prefer sitting outside.

Hidden Gems in St. Louis -- and darling, the name is not exaggerating…read more I had the absolute pleasure of attending a birthday celebration here and let me tell you... this place is a vibe, a moment, and a whole sparkling experience. The space is intimate, stylish, and perfectly appointed -- the kind of place that feels like you've stumbled into a secret little jewel box in the city. It's cozy in the best possible way, with an atmosphere that invites laughter, celebration, and maybe just a little fabulous mischief. The bartenders? Absolute pros. Warm, welcoming, and clearly masters of their craft. Naturally, I ordered my classic gin and tonic, and it was perfection in a glass -- crisp, balanced, and exactly what a proper G&T should be. I heard from the birthday boy and his wonderful wife that the owners were incredibly accommodating, and you could feel that hospitality throughout the entire evening. Everything felt effortless and welcoming -- the kind of place where people clearly care about creating a great night. And then... the party truly began. We had drag queens serving glamour and joy, music, laughter echoing through the room, and pizza delivered from the birthday boy's favorite local pizza spot that honestly deserves its own standing ovation. If you want to know where that pizza came from, drop a comment -- because it was outrageously good. By the end of the night I couldn't stop thinking: this place really is a Hidden Gem. A perfect little pocket of St. Louis where good drinks, great people, and a bit of fabulous chaos come together. Sparkle-tastic. Gem-tastic. Pure joy. I've been to a few, and most recently attended the "Taylor Swift: Bejeweled" experience. The space was decked out in all things Taylor, with every era clearly represented. Giant friendship bracelets hung from the ceilings and lined the walls, which was such a fun touch. And of course, there were plenty of photo ops with my close personal bff, Taylor herself! The drink menu was themed to match the eras, with tons of creative options. My friends and I tried several cocktails, along with a few NA options as well. I really appreciate that they offer non-alcoholic drinks as I've been cutting back on alcohol over the past few months, and it's nice to still have fun choices that actually taste good! The Mirrorball was easily my favorite drink of the night. It tasted just like an orange creamsicle and was served in a disco ball...so good and so fun. My last drink of the night was "So Long London," which was almost like a dessert in a glass. Highly recommend ending your night with that one!
