I usually only have a cocktail when dining out...but I would buy a gallon of this to take home if I could. It's that good! The rest of the cocktail list is full of creativeness and I feel you can't go wrong with any of them. And then the dips! So good plus the homemade pita is delicious. Dinner menu starts at 5 so we stayed to try more of what The Rabbit has to offer. We ordered the onion rings, gnocchi and meatballs. Unexpectedly, the gnocchi was in a light yet very flavorful broth. It was our favorite dish from the dinner menu. The onion rings were okay and pretty greasy. The labneh sauce was the standout part of the onion rings. This is my favorite restaurant in St. Louis!! The space is dark, elegantly intimate yet whimsical with candles and rabbit ears peeking up from lampshades - but it was their food and drink that blew me away. We ordered the NOR and Lillian's revenge cocktails, onion rings, mac & cheese, red snapper, pork tenderloin, and gooey butter cake. I love it when I get to experience flavors I've never had before and every dish gave me a revelation. The cocktails were perfectly balanced, the pork was cooked sous vide and so succulent, and the veggies were tender with drool-worthy flavor. Most of all, everything tasted so delicious and real. It was also not too expensive for this high quality of dining, delivered with warm, genuine service. Our dining experience was an incredible 10/10. No Ordinary Rabbit has been on our list since it moved to Tower Grove. We were very excited when we finally got around to getting a reservation and it did not disappoint! The vibe of this place is an 11/10. So glad I finally made a trip here to check out their happy hour and will definitely be back to try more items from the menu. I loved the eggplant dip so much! We've been here several times now and each meal has been excellent. They've got an extensive and creative cocktail menu. I really love the Steely Eyed Missile Man and Another Acid Flashback. As far starters, we love both the roasted red pepper and walnut dip and the beet borani, which is also a dip for pita bread. Both excellent, but if you like beets, you must get the borani. It's a smooth dip with an earthy flavor, topped with pistachios. For the mains (which are all shareable sized plates), we have yet to go wrong. But my favorite is easily the sablefish. They also have some vegetable that will surprise with how flavorful they are. I recommend the roasted carrots, cauliflower and braised escarole. Finally, the service has always been good. The staff is attentive to drink orders and bringing out the small plates one or two at a time. Give it a try. read more

Came here on a Tuesday evening. Made a reservation, but when we walked in, it was not packed. The waitstaff were nice, and quickly led us to our table. The place was small, and the ambience was cozy. The menu was nice and tight, and our waiter was very informative about options on the menu. We ended up ordering the following: zaatar onion rings, burratam gnocchi, mac and cheese, braised short rib, and 2 gooey butter cakes. This was a meal that fed four people comfortably. The onion rings had the wow factor when they were first brought in given their size, but it rapidly dwindled. While they were crispy, it was definitely underseasoned. It had flavored, and tasted better with the caramelized onion labneh, but more salt would've definitely sent it over the edge. The burrata was good; definitely a dish to get if you like beets. The gnocchi and the mac & cheese were both really good. Both were exceedingly creamy, rich and full of flavor. Very satisfying sense of umami with each bite. The braised short ribs and potatoes were also good, but not as flavorful nor as tender as I know that braised ribs can be. Finally, the gooey butter cake with ice cream left a satisfying sweetness to end the night. The ice cream was delicious and the gooey butter was good, although not the best gooey butter that I've had. Overall, it is a decent place for a nice date night service was relatively fast and I was satisfied. 4/5 stars. read more

UM WOW. This place is amazing. It's been on the list and I'm so glad we gave it a try. We will absolutely be back. My husband made a reservation for my birthday and I'm glad he did, it was packed for a week day!! Luckily, they had a table saved and we were seated immediately. Service was great all night. Our only complaint was there was nothing said about my birthday. We never expect anything free but it is a special occasion and he told them it was a special occasion and they didn't even say anything, which was a little disappointing. Luckily we had another reservation for dessert somewhere else after and they made up for it! My point is - this place is awesome and give it a try but not for a special night because it won't be "special". Since it was my birthday we did go all out and got whatever we wanted off the menu, we warned the waitress so she was awesome and boxed things as we ate, which was perfect. I don't think we had anything we didn't like. My husband said the onion rings were the best he's ever had. The fish dip was fantastic and I'm not a fish eater. I really enjoyed my first visit to No Ordinary Rabbit. The decor was bright, nature-inspired, with a bit of a Tulum vibe. The cocktails were creative, and the menu had a bunch of unique dishes and a lot of the ingredients I had no idea what they were but really enjoyed. I wish I would have came here sooner, this place is first class and is a top St Louis restaurant. Cute and cozy decor. We came with 4 of us on a Friday. Reservations seem to be needed and we got ours with some time in advance. Our group started with a round of cocktails so many choices and ordered the cashews to snack on with them. Later or ordered the onion rings and red pepper walnut dip. Everything was delicious, only disappointment was the cashews didn't arrive until the other apps and by that time we had nearly finished our first drinks. Still all were quite delicious but surprisingly cashews may have been my favorite, they came with a very unique and delicious savory flavor. For the main dishes our groups shared the couscous salad, meatballs, short rib and flat iron steak. All dishes are for sharing and there wasn't a dud in the bunch, so delicious. To finish we got the pistachio gooey butter cake and the tahini brownier, while both were good the gooey butter cake was life changing, you have to save room for this!! We ordered several things to share, including the cashews, roasted red pepper walnut dip, couscous salad, short rib, meatballs, and hanger steak. Everything was flavorful and well cooked. The short rib and hanger steak stood out for execution, and the dips were great for the table. Dessert was excellent. The gooey butter cake was the highlight and a strong finish. The cocktail list is a real strength. Pigs on the Wing and Lillian's Revenge were both well balanced and not overly sweet. My main critique was service. It was slower than expected with no clear reason. The cashews took longer than they should have for what is essentially a bar snack, and later we waited a while for the dessert menu and at times for water. Overall, still worth it and very good. Parking is a hassle for now, and service may have just been an off night. I also had the sardines. The other option for tinned fish is mackerel or squid. Sardines were what you would expect if you've had canned sardines before, but for what it's worth I thought they were good, and they come with bread and a ?fig dip. This place was amazing! You have to call to make a reservation and I highly recommend it especially on busy weekend evenings. During our visit, there was still a slight chill in the air but we were seated indoors which was lovely. We started with their za'atar onion rings. So good! We immediately knew why they are one of their most popular starters. We also ordered their charred eggplant baba served with (2) grilled loafers bread with smoked sea salt. It was perfect. We asked for more bread as there was still about half of the baba. You can tell they make it fresh as it took a little while and they came out hot. We did get charged for the extra bread but worth it. For my entrée, I ordered the pan seared monk fish and my husband had the spinach ricotta gnudi that had some fennel chicken sausage. He let me have a bite of the chicken sausage and it was delicious. Of course, I couldn't finish my plate so I took the rest home but saved room for dessert. I ordered a cigar baklava. Flaky pastry but due to the configuration (cigar form) it was convenient to pick up and eat without needing any silverware or making a huge mess of the flaky filo. What an excellent concept! We were a group of four, which honestly feels like the sweet spot for this tapas-style restaurant. Now, full disclosure: I'm usually not a tapas fan. I don't love leaving hungry, and my wallet tends to feel just as empty as my stomach. But I was pleasantly surprised--this was an evening I enjoyed from start to finish. It began with an absolutely perfect gin and tonic--crisp, balanced, and exactly what I wanted. From there, the dishes just kept coming. The hummus (both classic and carrot) was smooth and flavorful, but the real star of the table was the flatbread--warm, chewy, and downright addictive. For mains, I had the mac and cheese, which was rich and comforting without being heavy. My tablemates ordered the lamb meatballs, shakshuka red snapper, and gnocchi, and every single dish was met with enthusiastic approval. Bright, bold, and full of flavor across the board. We spent about $70 per person including tip, which is on the pricier side for St. Louis--but the experience, the flavors, and the overall vibe made it feel worth it. Outstanding, Happy Hour! One of the best things about being retired is having the ability to attend an early in the day, Happy Hour. No Ordinary Rabbit has its HH, 3PM - 5 PM. Most people are still at work, but us retirees can go and have basically the entire place to ourselves. My BFF and I went yesterday to celebrate her birthday early. It was the first time for both of us and we were totally gobsmacked. The cocktails were masterfully prepared and the appetizers aka small plates were impressive, too. The linen napkins, gold flatware and the stemware used for the cocktails added to the total experience. I am a fan of Onion Rings and theirs are made in house and I recommend that you order them. They're on the smaller size, so they'll not be super filling. I also recommend the Whipped Feta and their House Potato Chips with "special sauce". You'll be pleased with all of these. They'll be perfect accompaniments to your cocktails. While we celebrated the birthday, I enjoyed three different cocktails. Don't judge me, I'm retired and can drink in the middle of the day. I started off with, No Ordinary Rabbit. It's one of their, N.O.R. cocktails and is made with rye, one of my favorite liquors. I would have had a second one, but I am a vodka man and wanted to try their Wet Martini. Then my third cocktail to wrap up the celebration was an, Old Fashioned. All three were outstanding. I loved watching the bartender make our drinks from the table. She was masterful in her skills. The drinks were so good, I tipped her separately as I exited the restaurant. In addition to my drinks, my friend had her own. Just look at my posted pictures and know that she gave them a thumbs up, too. The ambiance is super cool and relaxing. It's rather chic and contemporary. While you are there, be sure to go and check out the non-gender restrooms. One of them has a green toilet and the other is gold. After seeing the green one, I had t peek in and see what color the other one was when I was returning to my table. The service was attentive and friendly. They are smaller plates that are shareable. We tried the red pepper walnut dip with bread. The bread was delicious ! We ran out of it pretty quickly. We had the spinach ricotta gnudi as well. For the main, we tried the lamb shank - the meat was very tender and falling off the bone. It was very well cooked. For dessert, we had the gooey butter cake. When I walked in I had no idea the host worked there and then after a few minutes they said something to me but didn't immediately greet me. Our drinks and starters of olives and hummus came pretty quickly. And then a salad came which we all shared. Then after we had been there 2 hours the hot food, gnocchi, chicken breast, and sablefish, finally came. It wasn't all hot. For $34 what we got of the fish was more like a taster than a full entree portion which was what it was supposed to be. The yellow design gives an inviting atmosphere while keeping it from being too bright and over the top. Much care was taken in the design. Bar seating along with a mix of high tops and low tops are available. Can accommodate for parties of 6, but I would hesitate for a group larger than that especially on a popular day. I had 2 Old Fashioneds with Buffalo Trace and they were spectacular. Flavor was balanced with the appropriate level of kick. They offer a great selection of Bourbons.
