I've kayaked several times but never here in Wyoming, and never with my 3-year-old in tow, so I had loads of questions. Rusty at Rent Adventure was quick to reply and had great info! I booked online which was super easy. I especially like the option to get text updates and add to my calendar. When the day of fun arrived, I was quite pleased by the very friendly young man working the shop. He was nice to my toddler and took care of loading the kayak into the shuttle for us. A quick shuttle ride to Wedding of the Waters and we were ready for fun! The river is nice and mellow, great for kids. You can paddle or just float and let the river carry you. We opted for the short ride which took 2 hours. I paddled pretty fast most of the time because my little passenger demanded "Mommy, go fast!" If you don't paddle much the current will take you back to the shop in around 4 hours. When we made it back, the nice young man fetched the kayak for me since I was only able to get it to the grassy knoll on my own. He really is a friendly employee and such a hard worker! Whether you're a total beginner or an expert, you'll have a great time. Don't feel like paddling? I saw a bunch of really nice giant tubes you can rent too. Maybe I'll try that next time, because there definitely will be a next time!

Since its humble beginnings in 1995, OWGA has grown into a worldwide LGBT adventure outfitter catering to active travelers. I have taken six memorable trips with them and I'm about to embark with them once again for my eighth trip on my Civil Service retirement celebration trip with my partner, returning to my favorite ski destination of all, Zermatt, Switzerland. OWGA's owners and organizers, Aaron and David, are extremely devoted to ensure unmatched customer service, and at the same time that the traveler embarks on an organized tour, the trips offer a high degree of personal attention and personalization. The trips are usually made up of 12-20 people with some exceptions such as one trip to Aspen Gay Ski Week that had a huge gathering. Trips are organized year-round, covering literally every continent. The LGBT nature of the trips is absolutely open, and every place and locale is screened for its suitability. I've done two Aspen Ski Weeks, a trip to Zermatt and a trip to St. Moritz, Switzerland, a trip to Katschberg, Austria, and one to Red Lodge and Big Sky, MT. Although most of my trips have been Winter trips, they have a plethora of year-round trips to wonderfully exotic destinations, from bicycling Tuscany, to hiking in Spain, to Cambodia and Vietnam. Outstanding customer service and value.

No matter how long your stay, Cody Shuttle takes care of the details, offering convenient pickup and drop-off at your campground's site. The day we spent with Cody Shuttle, especially our guide Heather, exceeded all our expectations. We set our sights on encountering wildlife and exploring the park, especially the northern part of Yellowstone, having already visited popular spots like Old Faithful. Before we even reached Yellowstone, we marveled at the picturesque landscapes and visited two quaint Montana towns, Cooke City and Silver Gate. We even entered the park via the less-traveled Northeast entrance. Heather was a fountain of knowledge, pointing out wildlife, identifying bird calls, explaining geological features, and offering insights about local plant species. We knew we were in for a treat when we saw a majestic bull moose, its massive antlers on full display. Heather had binoculars and a scope on hand, enabling us to appreciate the wildlife in incredible detail. As we journeyed through Lamar Valley -- the "American Serengeti" -- Heather was always the first to spot the Bison. We saw a vast herd of these "American Buffalo" and their calves often referred to as "red dogs" due to their color, roaming as far as the eye could see. Pronghorn Antelopes were also seen mingling with the herd, a sight that was a poignant reminder of nature hundreds of years ago! Throughout the day, we saw more of Yellowstone's wildlife -- Big Horn Sheep, Mountain Goats, and Elk, often with their young. We enjoyed a fresh and tasty deli lunch at a hotel in Mammoth Springs, a historic district formerly known as "Fort Yellowstone." Heather shared the evolving story of Mammoth Springs. We ended the day with not one, but two Black Bear sightings at different points. We even joked with Heather about arranging a Grizzly Bear appearance, and as we drove on Sylvan Pass towards the East Entrance, there it was, a massive Grizzly Bear! It seemed like every wildlife sighting was perfectly timed, although we know it was pure luck. But we'd like to think that Heather was our lucky charm! By the way, Cathy and Alvin, the owners of Cody Shuttle, are truly dedicated to their service. We met them during our tour; they were exploring the park on a holiday, looking for ways to enhance their tour plans. AVOID THIS YELLOWSTONE TOUR COMPANY AT ALL COSTS…read more If you're dreaming of a once-in-a-lifetime Yellowstone tour, Yellowstone guided tour, or Cody Wyoming Yellowstone tour -- do NOT waste your money here. We prepaid $458, woke up before dawn, drove 90 minutes, and stood in the cold, pouring rain before 7AM on a street corner with no shelter, waiting for this company's so-called Yellowstone National Park day trip. The tour van NEVER showed. We called repeatedly. "Michael" kept brushing us off -- "She's only 2 minutes late... she has other stops" -- and told us to just keep waiting. One full hour in the rain later, we asked for a refund. His solution? "Come back tomorrow." (As if we had nothing better to do than waste another vacation day waiting on a sidewalk.) The next day, they denied our refund. To add insult, the "guide" claimed she drove past us THREE TIMES and had "witnesses." Yet never called us -- despite having our phone numbers -- then blamed us for "missing" the pickup! She even admitted this happens often... then hung up on us. BOTTOM LINE: * No-show Yellowstone pickup * No way to reach actual guide/driver * ZERO customer service -- only excuses * NO refund Save yourself the headache and heartbreak. Choose a reputable Yellowstone wildlife tour, Yellowstone sightseeing tour, or Yellowstone day tour with real transportation, real communication -- and at least a shred of integrity. This company should be ashamed to use Yellowstone in its advertising. Please see the completely unhinged reaction of the owner/tour guide below . We had no conversation with her on the day of the tour . Her reference to witnesses and slander of calling us scammers when she's the one who took our money is truly disturbing.
