I've kayaked several times but never here in Wyoming, and never with my 3-year-old in tow, so I had loads of questions. Rusty at Rent Adventure was quick to reply and had great info! I booked online which was super easy. I especially like the option to get text updates and add to my calendar. When the day of fun arrived, I was quite pleased by the very friendly young man working the shop. He was nice to my toddler and took care of loading the kayak into the shuttle for us. A quick shuttle ride to Wedding of the Waters and we were ready for fun! The river is nice and mellow, great for kids. You can paddle or just float and let the river carry you. We opted for the short ride which took 2 hours. I paddled pretty fast most of the time because my little passenger demanded "Mommy, go fast!" If you don't paddle much the current will take you back to the shop in around 4 hours. When we made it back, the nice young man fetched the kayak for me since I was only able to get it to the grassy knoll on my own. He really is a friendly employee and such a hard worker! Whether you're a total beginner or an expert, you'll have a great time. Don't feel like paddling? I saw a bunch of really nice giant tubes you can rent too. Maybe I'll try that next time, because there definitely will be a next time!

When we started planning our road trip, we knew that we wanted to explore the town of Kirwin, and after doing some research I was sure I was going to book with this company. Now after we are home and the trip is complete, I knew I had booked with the right company for sure!!!! Tom went ABOVE and beyond to make sure our family had the best experience. We had UTV knowledge, and some knowledge of the area. But Tom really thought about every detail! With the Rental of the vehicle of your choice, he includes a dry box with blankets, extra jackets, first aid kit, hand sanitizer, and trash bags. Which we had a surprise snow storm the night before our excursion, so the extra warmth was nice for sure. On top of the goodies in the dry box, they have put together a folder with a numbered map with detailed information and history for each location to follow along on the road, as well as a detailed walking map, on top of more safety information. This is just the start of the safety measures put in place. On top of the folder, each vehicle is fitted with a tablet, that has a fixed map that follows your location to make sure you're on the right path. And the last piece of safety protocols that impressed me is, a satellite texting device. There is no cell service for any carrier once you hit the forest. They made sure there was a communication device available for absolute emergencies. Tom went over step by step instructions on how to use the device as well as written instructions in the folder, and a laminated copy inside the vehicle as well. Which was a HUGE piece of mind for me, as my husband and I were traveling and exploring with our 3 kids. Knowing that I had communication in case of an emergency was a huge relief, and a really nice touch. We had a quick rundown on everything, and we were off on our adventures. When we hit a certain point on the journey home, we Texted Tom from our personal phone as requested, and they met us in the parking lot and were eager to hear our experiences. Kirwin Ghost Town Adventures isn't just a business worrying about making money. They care about the safety and experiences of every single person they encounter. Tom took the time to connect with all my children before and after out tour, making sure they were comfortable before we set off on our adventure, as well as asking questions about their trip, what they enjoyed, thought about the experience, as well as even asking everyone if there was anything they could improve on.
