A few hours before my check-in time, I received a text with clear instructions on how to check in. I Didn't have to worry about lines or going to the front desk, as a solo traveler, the point of coming to Yellowstone was to get away from people lol or the hustle and bustle of life, to find peace and tranquility. So needless to say I was pleasantly pleased with this efficient system. The rooms at the Inn are not just nice, but they are also very spacious. The interiors are tastefully done and the room smelled amazing!!!!, which added to the overall comfort and ambiance. As someone who appreciates attention to detail, I was quite impressed. Just 7 minutes away from the West entrance of the Yellowstone National Park, it provides easy access to the beautiful park, making it a dream come true for nature lovers. I called HO HUM directly and spoke with a very nice woman named Alina, who was able to help me after i explained the circumstances. Such nice customer service after trying to navigate Expedia's no customer service! When we do make the trip to Yellowstone, we will stay here and book directly with them.

If it can be done before 10.30pm, I told him to call the guy. He called the repair person right in front of me and told me that he would be arriving in 20 mins. We waited till 10.30 and nobody showed up. Went back to the lobby; he said he has already sent the repair guy to our room and surprisingly he was told that no service was required. I asked him the room to which he had sent him. He said a different room, one level above us. I figured out that he messed with the room number. I saw him writing down the room number, so asked him to show me the paper still on his desk. He looked at it and said he didn't write anything down. He was lying through his teeth. Even though he offered to call the service guy again, I told him not to since it was already too late.. Overall experience - OK. Service - I would say terrible. When you charge the customers close to $300 for night, at least take the responsibility for providing a better service. Big thumbs down!

This place was great! Absolutely phenomenal…read more First, the customer service was awesome. We needed a hotel last-minute to recover from stomach illness/food poisoning before we could fly home. The woman at the front desk was so kind when I explained our predicament. She helped me with understanding the policies and finding a room for us to check into early. She even made sure we had a first floor room because my spouse had broken his ankle on the trip. I appreciated her so much, I wanted to hug her - she kind of saved our day! Then, when trying to use the luggage rack to get all of our luggage in, I had trouble, and one of the housecleaning staff just came over and started helping me get it over the threshold of the back door. Throughout our stay, everyone was just wonderful. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom had a tub. The bathroom and room were extremely clean, and I notice when one isn't pristine. The mini fridge was very helpful! (not all rooms have one). We had to hunker down and stay here for two days, and it was a very nice place to be! There is a local grocery store very close by where we could get a few supplies. When we were up to it, the game room was great. We played ping pong by borrowing paddles/ball from the front desk, and we played trivia out of the assortment of board/card games. Some of those games were a bit old/disheveled but still fun. The exercise room was also nice and I used the mats to do my physical therapy exercises. The exercise room and game room were plenty spacious. There was also a free continental breakfast, and a laundry room with two washers, two dryers and a vending machine and ice. Overall, staying here was one of the best things that happened on our trip to Yellowstone. We were awfully glad to find it and would highly highly recommend.

We'd been booked at an older property inside the park with no air conditioning, cancelled it, and found the 1872. Best decision we made. The AC worked exactly as it should, and after long days in the park it made a real difference. It's an adults-only boutique property at the edge of town -- close enough to walk downtown, far enough to escape the crowds and noise. Quiet is the word that keeps coming to mind, and that's rare in a gateway town in August. Check-in was easy, and the gentleman at the front desk walked us to the room himself and showed us how everything worked -- the gas fireplace, the towel warmer for the bath towels. Small touches, but you notice when someone takes the time. The room was spotless and a good size. We had four pieces of luggage open at once and never felt crowded. Beds were very comfortable. Anything we asked for, we got. We loved it and would stay here again without hesitation. The switching story is the strongest thing in the review now. Anyone weighing in-park lodging against staying in West Yellowstone is going to read that paragraph and make a decision.

We had one outside bed in lower living room and needed an extra bed for my son. The staff was extremely friendly and helped us with a small foldable foam bed. House was well maintained and we had no complaints. One small suggestion would be if they could put out a garbage disposable outside or behind the house that can be easily identifiable. We initially struggled a bit to spot the garbage disposal box.

We had plenty of room for everyone. Of the 8 bedrooms, 6 have king size beds, and two of them have private full baths. There are 3 additional full baths for the others. The cabin itself is pretty new, so everything was clean and in working order. The location is very close to the west entrance to the park, and is convenient to downtown shops and restaurants. The kitchen had plenty of plates, silverware, pots and pans, etc. I was especially impressed with the quality of the pots and pans, very nice for a rental. The cabin also has a full sized washer and dryer, which was very convenient. The WIFI was available, but I have to say it is not very fast. Considering the location, this was not too surprising. There were no problems with billing, or unexpected charges. Overall a great choice for a large party, I highly recommend this location!
