Had their lunch specials dine-in and take out and were always satisfied. Liked that they have beef negimaki for lunch bento. Rolls are good. Very easy ordering online Friendly service. Small place with a few tables for dine-in.

This is my favorite sushi spot!!! So good and fresh as always I recommend this place!

A neighborhood Japanese bar and sushi which is quiet and homey. The taste is on par with the restaurants from Manhattan, but you get cheaper price with better quality. We ordered spicy kani salad, sashimi appetizer, shrimp tempura and some rolls which are perfectly made. The service is very friendly and attentive. I see a lot of take out and delivery too. Will definitely come back again.

I was very impressed with the selections listed on the 3 Combo Roll and ordered spicy kani, spicy tuna, and salmon tempura with avocado. The eel sauce is the perfect sauce for all of these rolls and complimented them well. The ingredients are fresh and high quality in taste. Yellowstone Sushi is now my go to spot since my favorite place closed permanently a month ago.

Whenever I come here the sushi is always hitting the spot, I found this place one day a few years ago craving sushi and have been coming here ever since. The lady at the counter is super sweet attentive and on it! I would recommend coming here for a quick bite or to go! (Rock shrimp is the way to go for appetizers)

I love this forest hills sushi spot! My favorite things to get in any sushi place are seaweed salad, shrimp shumai, and a shrimp/eel/avocado roll of some kind. All very high quality! Perfectly sauced. Quick delivery.

We love going to this new sushi restaurant in the area! We have been here twice in the past month and plan to make it a regular lunch/dinner spot. The staff is very friendly, genuine, and courteous. The restaurant is incredibly clean. I find this important for a place that sells raw fish. The rolls are nicely crafted, miso soup is delicious (not too salty). We have ordered tuna rolls, salmon and eel. All are plump and delicious. At the moment they do not have their liquor license. They will probably have one soon. We shared the udon pan fried noodles with vegetables. Delicious!

Why no one is answering the phone 4 different time, different days?

Closed but I reopening soon. They had trouble with staff and couldn't run two businesses. Glad they are coming back soon!

Is it closed down again? It's mid June at 9pm and their gates have been closed and no one picks up the phone. Sad.

I walked through there and saw it was closed at noon. I did not see any post outside the restaurant mentioning why it was closed.

An Unforgettable Omakase Experience!…read more We celebrated the 4th of July with an incredible omakase dinner at Masaki, and it exceeded every expectation. Every course was beautifully presented, impeccably fresh, and perfectly balanced. From the delicate Red Sea Bream and buttery Scallop to the luxurious Toro with Caviar, Sweet Shrimp with Uni, and the unforgettable Eel with Foie Gras, each bite was a masterpiece. What truly elevated the evening was Michael, our sushi chef. He was warm, engaging, and exceptionally knowledgeable. He took the time to explain every course, the origin of the fish, the flavors, and the best way to enjoy each piece. His passion for his craft was evident, and his attention to detail made the entire experience feel personal and memorable. Dining at the sushi bar gave us a front-row seat to watch the artistry behind every piece. The quality of the ingredients, the precision of the preparation, and the genuine hospitality made this one of the finest omakase experiences we've ever had. Thank you, Michael, and the entire Masaki team, for making our holiday celebration so special. We can't wait to return for another unforgettable evening!

I honestly wasn't expecting much but the service based solely for the Omakase blew me away. The Omakase bar was in the back of the restaurant hidden away. The space was very open and the ambience was chic. This is a great place for date night, mommy night out, or group hangouts as they have private rooms too. Every piece tasted very fresh and were quite unique. The steam silky egg appetizer with crabmeat and fish roe was simple yet delicious. One of the dishes was an uni toro roll that was placed on top of our hands and was sprayed with edible gold glitter on us. That was a surprise and it was cute. And that uni just melts in your mouth. We had this matcha pudding with I think had an Oreo sprinkle in it was fabulous. They also surprised us with an extra dessert cause it was all 3 of our birthdays. Very enjoyable experience. Our sushi chef was very accommodating and made our birthday dinner memorable. We originally started out with the summer special of $78pp for a 12 course meal and decided to upgrade to the 14 course meal for $98pp. There was an option for a 17 course meal for $138pp but we were very full towards the end. They also had this $30 lunch and $60 dinner 3 course meal set for restaurant week. My friend's mom wasn't a fan of raw stuff so she ordered the Chilean sea bass with risotto and she wasn't a huge fan of it. The fish was a tad overcooked and the overall presentation of the dish looked more of a Chinese fusion dish. The risotto had that cheesy flavor but the presentation with the Bok Choy and the risotto looked more like fried rice and was confusing. I would stick with the omakase, which this place is known for.

But at last, as I searched on DoorDash I stumbled upon this glorious restaurant they call Izakaya Fuku. I was drawn to the adorable names for their sushi roll dishes like "Strawberry Fields" and their Italian Japanese fusion pasta dishes, "Creamy Mentaiko Bacon Pasta" with creamy mayonnaise, spicy cod roe and bacon like are you kidding me? It's a bummer I wasn't more hunger or that I didn't have more bucks in my wallet because I wanted all these dishes. And the Chirashi Don, god it looks so beautiful the way that it's arranged in the photos online. I finally decided on the carbonara. And I was drawn to the fact that it was udon based. Now, I've just been living in hawaii these past years so that Japanese twist on an Italian dish that I just love oh so much really brought me back to missing the islands and the Asian spins they had on cuisines. Now my food may have not come in a jiffy but for after midnight cravings I'd say it was well worth the wait. And my oh my the portion was huge!!!! I slurped that big boy up. It was SOOO delicious and savory. I love comfort food and this had me in carbonara heaven. I loved indulging into every single last bite. By the looks of the picture the restaurant looks lovely, I'd love to stop there and try it in person. Thank you. Thank you! My belly and my heart are very much satisfied.

And you can use the QR code laminated to the table to order. We did it the old-fashioned way by politely speaking to our server. We got a variety of dishes to share, starting with the Yakitori platter. For $19.99, you can choose 5 skewers from the a la carte selections (except for the pricier seafood skewers). They were grilled and seasoned well. I really liked the Fried Kaki (aka kaki fry, fried oysters). The breaded oysters were tender, fresh & juicy. We also shared Chicken Yakiudon, Yakiniku Don & Pork Katsu Don. The yakiudon was very good and the katsu was crispy and generously sized. I did not like the sauce on the beef in yakiniku don. The texture tasted strange. I'll try the gyudon next time. There are a lot of restaurants on this block with a variety of ethnic cuisines and I would make Wafuu a regular spot when we come to Forest Hills.
