Ordered from a delivery service and wanted to share my review incase this helps anyone. I ordered the salmon avocado sushi roll and the summer rolls. The shrimp in the summer rolls tasted off and spoiled. The mango is watery and seemed like it was days old. The sushi rice on the roll was definitely old it was hard just like the avocado. Overall this place is a solid addition to the neighborhood with an impressively large pan-Asian menu that has everything from your usual Thai fares to sushi. It is also spacious inside, good for groups. The food came out reasonably fast, and service was decent. My friend and I tried their Crab fried rice, Masaman vegetable curry, and also their Naruto roll. The crab fried rice was excellent, made with real lump crab meat, and the rice was springy and has good mouthfeel, not too salty or oily. The Naruto roll was surprisingly light and refreshing since there is no rice inside (it uses a cucumber wrapper), and was tightly wrapped so nothing was falling out. I would ask for the ponzu sauce on the side next time, but other than that it was perfect. The curry was also flavorful and a delight during the colder months, although the white rice side that was provided is very small. The only thing I did not like at all was the Roselle Ice tea. It was served WARM instead of cold, and tasted like warm cranberry juice... I had to ask for a cup of ice on the side so it was at least drinkable. I was not impressed at all with this place. It's very strange how there's all kinds of Asian food ranging from Thai, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, etc... I was very confused by all of this as it's a Thai focused restaurant. They honor the Yelp check-in offer; however, they don't do the discounts that are on the menu. There's no lunch specials on the weekends and holidays. The service wasn't that great, and there was no one else at the restaurant either. We've passed the eye catching sign many times and finally went to try it. On a hot Sunday evening we arrived to an empty dining room and had the place to ourselves for almost the whole meal. The space is open and inviting and the staff was lovely. We opt'd for a Thai beer and a lychee martini. Both were served nice and cold and the lychee martini was light and refreshing. We started with the Chive Dumplings, which are more of a fritter as they are fried and crunchy. They were quite good, but not as strong a chive flavor that I expected. For the main course we ordered 3 dishes. The Pad Thai with shrimp, which was a wonderful and delicious version. The Rad Na, which was a new dish for us, included wide noodles with chicken and Chinese broccoli in a gravy. The dish had a wonderful flavor, almost sweet upon it hitting your mouth, but then rounded out. While it is quite gravy heavy, it was delicious. We also ordered the crab fried rice, which used real crab and was tasty. Portion sizes were generous and I left stuff with some leftovers in tow. The dinner prices are a bit pricier than other ones in the neighborhood, and to be honest, the food is average. This is actually a Chinese run place that mixes Thai, sushi and Chinese food. Most people will come for the Thai food. Their Thai food is okay but it is not authentic. And it is blander than it should be. While Spring Thai is fairly new and is very clean and modern, you are better off eating at the nearby UThai instead. To start, we got the kani salad to share and I felt that the taste was a little off and a bit too much mayonnaise, compared to traditional japanese restaurants. The pho was super filling -- huge portion and the chicken was surprisingly very tender and soft even though it is white meat. It comes with bean sprouts and sauces on the side. I would get it again! My friend also enjoyed her entree and had to get the rest to go because it was big in portion as well. They were also having a special where you'd get a free thai ice tea if you spend over $25 and our server was nice enough to give me a thai iced coffee instead when I asked. Came here without any high expectations since I've tried many Thai fusion places and found that "fusion" is almost never done right - most places are great at only one style of food and the rest is just thrown in to please people. However, this was a great little hidden gem!! We had 4 people and definitely over ordered but everything was delicious. Spicy Kani salad - the spicy mayo was amazing and with the Kani and fresh lettuce, it was a great combination! Szechuan fried dumplings - the sauce was a big sweet and pretty good tasting but I would say it needs peanut sauce to really make it "szechuan". Spring rolls - although I did not eat it, the presentation was great and the hubby and sis said it was pretty good. I could hear the crunch in every bite! Pad see ew - great flavor. We got it with tofu and my husband usually critiques every tofu dish but he said it was actually really good. Penang curry - the sauce was a bit thicker and spicier than I'd like but it was actually really good with rice. The chicken was perfectly soft and the veggies we fresh. Tonkatsu Ramen - this was the one dish that could've used improvement. It did taste a hit watered down but you could still taste the pork and salt. This was the one attempt at fusion that I wasn't very impressed with but overall the rest was good. Thai ice tea, Thai lychee Iced tea and Thai coffee - just wow. No matter which one you pick, they were all delicious and perfectly made with just enough sweet. Service was decent. We weren't bothered much but someone was around at all times. Doesn't look like much when you see it from the outside so I actually didn't have high hopes for it but my mom went to the opening party last night and asked us to go try it out for the first day of the official opening today. As soon as I walked in I felt very welcome from the staff. They are so friendly, nice and attentive. They even remembered my mom from the party the night before. The staff are Indonesian so they can speak different dialects and English fluently. They even made my husband a special spicy sauce. Definitely 10 star service. Tried a whole bunch of Items from the menu. All of them were delicious and very authentic. Loved it all. Some of the items we tried to order were not available due to first day limited supply. They were very accommodating. Wanted to order the fish cakes but they didn't have it so they made a special app just for us of fried chive triangular patties. Everything is delicious and worth a try. Came here and was sort of surprised to see a Thai restaurant in this part of town as neighborhood sushi restaurants seem to be the dominant cuisine of choice. Ordered some chicken dish here and a roti canai and can honestly say both dishes disappointed. Chicken was extremely dry and poorly prepared, brining the chicken would have helped immensely. The roti was way too oil and left globs of oil as i went to rip pieces of it off, while the curry was extremely watery and was more soup like than curry like.
