Since I didn't want to fly back and drive the distance to the East coast again I decided to sell the vehicle remotely. Initially we went back and forth over the price. I was offered more using the Edmunds site brokering the deal elsewhere however Carmart360 was closer to the shop doing the work and they did come up on their offer based on the Edmunds offer. We started discussing the sale price March 24, 2021. we agreed on a price and they took possession of the vehicle April 9, 2021. As I'm remotely doing this they sent the paperwork and I signed and returned it April 14th, 2021. They paid the lender next day, and the deductible to the autoshop from the sale price. Which was super great and so convenient. I was told they would send the remaining payout to me once they received the lien release from my lender. So I waited..... called and was told it's policy and their hands are tied. So I waited..... and I waited some more. I have contacted my lender and the dealership multiple times. Lender informed me they need a fed ex acct number to overnight and a letter from the dealer stating they would not cancel payment if title was released early. I sent the sales guy a text notifying of this. Asking to expedite the matter, I planned to use the payment as the down on my replacement. Today May 7th On star notified me the account on my truck has been cancelled in my name. Someone has purchased the truck. Yeah!!!! I called the dealership since I would assume they had the title as they sold the truck. Nope I was wrong and informed so. Here is where my 1 star comes in. 1.) They took possession of the truck almost a month ago. 2.) The attitude I got a month after they took the truck and I finally called to say I would like my money. 3.) I left both sets of keys in my truck and was informed only one was in there and I would need to pay out 250 to replace the second set. I was warned by other dealerships they pay slow but had I known I would have sold else where or picked up my truck. I also would not have suggested their buying services to 2 people. If I were ever to return To the area based off the conversation and attitude from Daniel, I would purchase elsewhere. However if you don't need the money within the next month and a half, and you want to deal with a whole lot of back and forth then it's maybe 3 stars. If you enjoy getting attitude from a used car sales manager when you call to figure out Why how They can buy and sell a vehicle before you are even paid out this is the place for you. ‍

Then, for the last two weeks, Wombat and I got into a real toxic relationship with the onboard "good vibes" system. We went to Mercedes twice. Same story both times: a bunch of charging, a bunch of "we'll look into it," and absolutely no real solution--just money leaving the building at warp speed. So I convinced my hubby: "No more Mercedes." He agreed, and we went private. He found Quinn at European Performance. Quinn promised us a diagnostic on the DEF for free--which, naturally, my husband grabbed like it was a limited-edition coupon that might disappear. Mercedes in Billings wanted 2.5 times what everyone else was charging, so even the savings felt emotional. We pulled in, and before I could finish my seatbelt rant, Quinn had Wombat backed out and connected up. He ran diagnostics fast--like, "where did the time go?" fast. And here's the plot twist: the problem wasn't some rare unicorn issue. It was stuff that's extremely common on the Sprinter chassis... the kind that apparently no one can find or fix consistently. Fun, right? Quinn worked some magic, we got it sorted, and now Wombat is back to being the road-loving weirdo we know and love--no more drama, no more countdown, no more mystery warnings. So if your Sprinter chassis is throwing a fit go see Quinn. He'll get you back on the road without the repeat crash-and-paycycle. Wombat says thank you. And honestly? So do we.

Unfortunately, I have to say something because wow... I have taken my car in to these guys and they have done a good job fixing the things that I have paid for them to replace. However; here's the upsetting part... I took my car into them 3 times in a row telling them "it's running funny", "it's acting weird", etc. I also give them a little info... "while I was out of town I changed the spark plugs myself. You might want to start there, in case I did something wrong as I am not certified but they are. They assured me it wasn't the problem. They even said "It was driving fine, no issue." and to "keep driving it around until something popped up on the dashboard". Love that for me. Even told me that it "sounds" like and is "probably" a piston ring which would be a $8,000 fix. Went on a 1,000 mile (one way) road trip it almost gave out 35 miles before the destination. Thank you to new friends, I knew someone to help me. 15 minutes later... he SHOWED me that I, in fact, had forgotten to tighten my spark plugs. Also, thank you to my friends... even after pushing the car as much as I had... with a little bit of cleaning and proper putting it back together... compression test was perfect and she was running like normal. Beats $8,000 motor replacement... just saying.

Nonetheless, I pulled up to the garage, and Josh met me outside with an understanding smile and a handshake. Upon noticing that I had an army of babies with me, he immediately helped get us into the spacious waiting room! He showed the girls the huge play area, with crayons, toys, books....you name it, and my favorite....a beautiful family heirloom -- A mini wooden rocking chair!!!! Josh informed me that it has been in the family for over 60 years!!!! Being a parent, and having your children in a situation where they have to wait in really any public setting brings it's own level of stress! That all melted away the moment we step foot in there. Now, getting down to the business side of things. Unfortunately, it was my starter that had completely gone bad. Josh reassured me that they could get it fixed, and had the part there in 5 minutes. He kept me up to date on the timing of when my vehicle would be on the road again. Every rack in that place was full, and all of the mechanics were working hard to free a rack up for my vehicle. Josh explained that they were doing the best they could, to which I replied that we had every amenity that we needed and would be just fine.... That in fact I'm sure my kids wouldn't want to leave and it would be a struggle to get them to out of there, which it was! It wasn't 15 minutes later that Josh came over with a video showing me my new starter in its full glory....It was music to my ears after having to jump start my vehicle in the cold for the last 2 weeks; hoping the whole component didn't fail all together! And as soon as the video finished, he pointed over my shoulder out the window behind me. I turn around, and there's my "Silver Smokey" waiting right out front for us!!!! I was speechless! Josh explained that a mechanic named Gibson had seen me with my girls and didn't wait for a rack! He climbed under my vehicle; laying on the snow and ice to install the new starter! Gibson brought my keys in, just covered in snow and ice! He didn't have to do that, but he had told Josh he didn't want me waiting with all of my kids! That is what really tugged at my heart strings! When you look out for my kids, you have my heart, as well as a lifelong loyal customer!!!! I mean, Josh had already set the bar for how he treats his customers, and you just can't beat it!!!! Vehicles may just be a hunk of metal to some, but my hunk of metal carries my most precious cargo, and when I feel I can trust a family owned and operated business to keep us running safely on the road, you got more than just my business....You have my respect and my absolute trust!!!! I anticipated a whole list of things to be wrong judging by how the car broke down, but the mechanics were honest and concise with me. Turns out it just needed an ignition coil to be replaced. They charged a fair rate for labor and parts despite all the shortages. The car was back to me in just a couple of hours, and they were very informative in stating anything else I should keep an eye out for.
