I don't understand the hype on this place. Staff was very friendly which is my only praise. I gave my order to my waiter, got my drinks and about 5-7 min later another waiter came by to get my order again for some reason... I ordered soup and the club sandwich on sourdough bread. Soup was weird tasting, my sandwich was mediocre on white bread not sourdough and ff taste like grease. Granted they didn't charge me for the soup and tea. I still tipped well but probably won't come here again. read more

Very friendly staff, great food served piping hot off the grill. Great coffee and excellent service. We wanted breakfast and many cafes close at 12:30 or 1:00 PM. So we were happy to find this little diner. The menu had meals designed for big appetite to light fare. We ate every bite. Everything was cooked perfectly. The bacon was succulent and they had 3 different flavors of syrup for pancakes, waffles and French toast. JR took excellent care of us and anticipated our needs. Stopped in here during a recent trip through Montana. This evidently is a popular spot for locals to eat breakfast and I can understand why. Everything that we had to eat here was really good. The bacon was thick cut and flavorful, the pancakes came with a variety of homemade syrups to include boysenberry, blueberry, and maple. The portion of the biscuits and gravy were so big that my father couldn't finish his plate and finally the service was spectacular. I don't know if our waitress has psychic powers or what but she would just appear with more coffee, creamers, or whatever else we needed. Great place! read more

We stopped here for a quick shower to continue our trip. Showers were ok, they could be a little cleaner, there was hair in the drains and sink and the towels provided show their age and use by being gray and not white. Move to the other side of the convenience store and they have a restaurant. We quickly realized most everyone at the restaurant was a local. The place was busy and every table being used. Some customers came in and had to leave. Service was good even though I never got a refill on my coffee even though I asked three times and the waitress walked by the coffee maker the same amount of times, she told me she was going to get to it but never got the chance to I guess. Food was good. I enjoyed everything I ordered, wish I had some more coffee but other than that it was good. I had the sourdough pancakes, first time trying that, and they were really sour... I guess that's why they are called "sourdough" so can't complaint about that but I don't think I like them. Definitely a good stop before heading into the Yellowstone park. read more

I had the half haystack (biscuits with gravy, an egg, over hashbrowns) it was good but the gravy temp was a tad bit cold. I also got a pancake as well which was huge and fluffy but I got turned off from the pancake when I found some crunch in it (eggshell) but either way still a decent experience for a truck stop read more

This place is a dump. We came in big rig but could not sleep due to trains going by every 30 minutes and blaring horn 5 times at each pass. The bathrooms were filthy with rotted sink faucet, only one bulb in strip of 5. Tried to use bathroom however knees hit door (men's room unusable by son as he could not even fit). Waited at register 5 minutes without seeing any employees and gave up. Wrote review for Google with pictures and owners sent 3 different NASTY responses. Last said work order put in for sink (completely rotted with holes clearly like that for YEARS) and replaced missing bulbs. It took my review with pictures to get them to address issues to business they bought over 5 years ago. Locked our truck as we felt very unsafe and left as soon as reset over. DO NOT GO HERE. Food and environment are awesome! I am 46 and been passing by this place since I was a young kid. My Dad drove big rigs for years and always stopped here. Know that I live in Montana and come to Livingston in the fall to work and stop to get a shower or a hot meal. Like a step back in time. I was really dissatisfied tonight when the cashier tried to stiff me. He originally said 41 dollars, I questioned him and he said no $21.00. He gave me change and I had a bad feeling so I asked him for my receipt. He obviously did not expect that. I walked out and noticed it wasn't 21.00. I went in and asked him for my change and he didn't even look at my receipt. He just gave me my change. He knows how much he pocketed. Be careful here know! Definitely lost its down home hospitality! read more

This is your classic Truckstop cafe from days gone by!! My wife and I were turned onto this gem by a fellow driver. We stopped for a nap and got up to try breakfast. It's was top shelf !!! After enjoying breakfast I went out to fuel and came back in to find my wife sitting with locals and enjoying conversation. Great food and wonderful people!!!!! read more

I've always liked staying here. Decent food at the diner. Nice people. Always a place to park the truck. I can't give it 5 stars though because the showers are rarely clean and they charge for an extra towel. You can get fucked. We are nickel and dimed to fucking death out here. read more

Isn't a big stop but is a tasteful one. The food is really good and the coffee is great. The prices are also well and fair the only reason my rating isn't 5 stars is because of the service. To start are order was lost so we had to wait extra time. Then we had to wait 10 min for the bill and the waitress was sort of rude. In all the only downside was the service however if you can get over the bad service it is a great stop. read more

Pretty much every time I go here I have amazing service and the waiters always deserve a tip that goes above and beyond.. today was an exception, the girl who served us was very unprofessional and rude, she took forever to take our order even though she was visibly sitting on her phone and once she did take it was was very messed up. I stop here every time I go through Yellowstone. It's a classic truck stop cafe. Friendly service, affordable and fast, comfy booths, an old guy in the corner drinking coffee, big portions and down home cooking. You can fill up on gas, grab breakfast lunch or dinner, snacks for the road, souvenirs and fill up your coffee mug. It's a must when passing through Livingston. read more

Slept in my car here while on a cross country road trip. The train going by is loud and can keep you up but other than that no one bugs you and it's a fine place to catch a few hours of sleep. The views are stunning when the sun comes up. read more

I had my first of the Truck Stop menu last summer when I started hiking every weekend and needed a go-to spot when I'd get back late. My favorite item I had on the menu was the sausage omelet. Every waiter/waitress I had was super friendly. Definitely a favorite now! read more
