Vegetable omelette, hash browns, and a single pancake. Yummy :)
    Tamara M.

After meeting up with a friend who lives in town, he recommended we give this spot a try if we were hungry! Just at the end of downtown is Northern Pacific Beanery. They have their own parking lot or street parking, so no stress on finding a spot. Upon walking inside, to the left they have some bar top seating as well as a couple smaller tables, and to the right you'll find a big dining hall basically with bigger tables and more space. When we arrived the bigger dining space was quite busy, we generally shoot for bar tops anyway, so that's where we asked to sit. They instantly took our drink order, we were on a light hustle mode, so black coffee and a water please. :) Beyond that they offer milkshakes, fountain sodas, iced tea, and coffee drinks. For food I ordered the veggie omelette without broccoli, and then you get to chose your side, I went with a single pancake. My partner ordered the traveler's breakfast, scrambled eggs, bacon, and a biscuit with gravy. Everything hit the spot! The pancake was so light and fluffy, hash browns were crisp, and my omelette was cooked to perfection! Overall, service was great and attentive, the food was far better than expected and all for a great price! The Northern Pacific Beanery would be my go to if I were in the area.

I love historic locales for dining! Great choices for both breakfast and lunch and homemade pies made daily. Service was spot on, although our server was a bit quiet. I had the chicken and biscuits breakfast. It was quite good but could have used a bit more gravy. My husband had the BLT and wished he had specified sourdough bread. Good coffee snd the strawberry rhubarb pie was great - can you believe we passed on the ice cream?!

Great breakfast spot in Livingston. Passing through on a Sunday and was looking for an open place to eat that had french toast. A lot of places not open on Sunday in the small town, and Pinky's weekly menu for this week had no french toast. Could not find a menu anywhere online for this spot, nor could I find more than one or two reviews from 2020! Took a risk and stopped by, and thankfully they did have french toast. It hit the spot and the service was perfect. I'm pretty sure the owners have changed since 2013 so the old reviews may not be reflective of the restaurant now.

This is a Montana size cinnamon roll.

Was the service slow? Yes. Was the food worth the wait? BIG YES…read more I know a lot of reviews mention how slow the service was, so let's get that big elephant out of the way. Yes. It took a while. There was one waitress for the whole area. I feel like maybe the bartenders could have helped run food a little more but whatevs. Full disclosure, before we got our food....I would have rated this place lower. But. Oh. The. Food. My heavenly, small town, delighted tastebuds heck...the food! We ordered bangers and mash, the corned beef, and the Shepard pie. And we ate it all like we were on death row and it was our last meal! DELICIOUS! The Shepards Pie is something I'll dream about. Hearty and robust, but somehow not heavy. Perfect for a cold winter night or a hot summer day! And don't sleep on the soda bread! It's not only the best I've ever had. Paired with a smear of that lightly salted butter...it's enough to make me grab an employment application and ask if they can pay me in food! Bottom line- slow but sweet service for a REALLY good meal!

Our server Angie was very good and friendly. The beer was reasonably priced and they had both local and domestic beers. We had the G.O.A.T. Burger for $20. It was good but more the size of a burger in a kid's meal which is not what you except when you pay $20 for it. The burger was accompanied by a small amount of fries. If the portions of the food were better, I would have given it 5 stars. They do have live music but we left before it started.

The wait is not that long.. we came here as walk in's 2x on our 1week stay that started in Bozeman, went down to Yellowstone, then to Idaho for UTV riding and then to Jackson Hole WY to go see the Teton National Park. It was nice to walk around the local shops while we waited and then afterwards to work off those delicious carbs. Thin crust pizzas clean, fresh, not heavy and seasonal ingredients. The crust is soooo good. Chewy and some char. We had: Montana Burger Royale My teen son dreams about this. Yes its 27.00 and he said its the BEST burger he's ever had. I would have to agree (and we live in Austin TX where there's great cow) -the burger meat melted in your mouth -the egg dripping as you break the yolk was perfection. The bacon so juicy, the brioche bun (that was the winning touch) We shared: Hot Honey Pizza- so good 9/10 Spicy Burrata- also great. 8/10 Mac n cheese- that was the only miss. Way under seasoned and the white sauce seemed to get sucked up by the pasta so the dish was super dry. 3/10 Frites and Fondue- fries were great. Thick cut with finely shaved pecorino. Could have used a heaping more of the shaved cheese. -the fondue was ok, seemed still under seasoned or just not creamy enough? I'd swap that for some roasted garlic with the truffle oil. 6/10 Local brews and ciders were great! 9/10 Huckleberry Cheesecake 9/10 save room for this bad boy. We split it between 4 people. Not too sweet. Tart and delightful! The world cup was on the TV so it was a hopping place even as it rained during a late June evening. Parking garage nearby is free for 2hrs so thats cool! Old Saloon was closed for the first half of the week we were there (along with all the other food options) but we managed to pop in Wednesday night after a long, exhausting day. We found half of the dining area was closed so there were only about 6 tables available, plus bar seating (we had 8 people). Service was ok, but we did have to ask for refills each time we needed one and for sugar when it was forgotten. The menu was super limited (different than what their online menu showed which was disappointing because we went for certain things and none ended up being on the menu) and really expensive for what we had to choose from (ex. $4 to add jalapeño and $4 to add bacon to a burger- insane). The food was not great. I got the Big Sky (grilled chicken sandwich with bacon) and it was dry/overcooked. Asked for it with the ranch on the side (I don't like ranch) and it was put on it and on the side. Sweet potato fries were all stuck together and just not great. Overall, maybe we caught them on a bad day, but it was the worst stop we had on our trip. We got food, we ate, it did the truck, but it was over priced and just meh.

Great service from our server. Checked on us often and filled up our waters. Food: Because it was our first meal here, we wanted to try out their staple dishes. -Bison Potstickers ($16): 5 pieces topped with mango and garlic chili sauce and served with some coleslaw. Feedback was there were only 5 on the plate. Definitely could use more. The bison patty met was perfectly cooked. A lot of folks overcook and dry out the bison. It was perfectly medium and juicy. Feedback would be a little char on the patty would be great. The service really tailed off in the end, it was not super busy and they had about 5 servers behind the bar. I sat there for at least 15 min until another bar tender asked if I wanted another brew and my server came about 5 to 10 later to attend to things.
