Orlando has an incredibly diverse and vibrant food scene and Romay is by far one of my favorite places to eat. Whether for lunch or dinner, events or markets, these Ethiopian meals always hit the spot. And the timeliness of the preparation takes nothing away from the deliciousness. Good things don't just come to those who wait, they come to those who buy from Romay Ethiopian Kitchen.

If you want to try authentic Ethiopian cuisine, look no further than Yene Romay Ethiopian kitchen. I had the beef stew, split lentils, beets & potato salad & injera. It was flavorful, delicious, and super filling. I can't wait to go back and try more of her food. It tasted like a warm, home cooked meal made with lots of love !

Selam has officially become a staple in our restaurant rotation! We've visited multiple times, and…read moreevery single experience has been consistently great. We always order the meat and veggie combo (which is the perfect portion for two) and occasionally add an order of beef tibs. I highly recommend doing that if you're extra hungry. Everything is always incredibly flavorful, well-seasoned, and comforting in the best way. I genuinely have never had a bad experience here. The food is consistently delicious, the portions are generous, and it always hits the spot. If you've been on the fence about trying Ethiopian food, this is absolutely your sign to go for it. The combo platter is a great way to sample a little bit of everything, and it does not disappoint. The only thing to note is that the restaurant tends to have a strong incense smell inside. It personally doesn't bother me at all, but if you're sensitive to that kind of thing, they do offer a few outdoor seating options.

If you have never had Ethiopian, the meat and veggie combo is a great place to start and get a little of everything. Be prepared to eat with your hands and enjoy the experience. The Ye Beg Tibs are my go to. But there really isn't a bad thing on the menu. It's spacious with plenty of seating and a full bar as well. Recommend dining in.

Since our table wasn't ready, we spent about 20 minutes outside taking in the view. It ended up being one of the best parts of the night. Watching the zebras and giraffes roaming around at sunset felt surreal! Once we got seated, we started with cocktails. I had the bees knees, which was light, refreshing, and a great way to kick things off. Of course, we had to try the famous naan flight, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The breads included traditional naan, garlic naan, spiced naan, onion kulcha, and paneer paratha. The accompaniments were just as impressive. It comes with mango chutney, roasted red pepper hummus, coriander chutney, tamarind chutney, tomato date jam, cucumber raita, and a jalapeño lime pickle. It was fun mixing and matching flavors! For my entrée, I ordered the butter chicken with rice and lentils, and it was exactly what I was hoping for rich, comforting, and very flavorful. As expected with Disney dining, it wasn't spicy at all but still really satisfying. We finished with the giraffe dessert, a peanut, banana, and chocolate creation that was almost too beautiful to eat. The presentation was incredibly artistic, and it tasted just as good as it looked. Overall, Sanaa is such a unique experience with great food, great service, and unbeatable savanna views. Definitely worth it.

I always recommend asking their recommendations for menu items as sometimes they will let you know of options that are not listed. The food is what always makes us come back here. I think it is virtually impossible to visit this restaurant and not get the bread service. In our last visit, we actually saw a family of three that in my opinion, did it right by ordering two bread services and a couple appetizers. The burger for lunch is a little different but very good and their seasonal salads are always fresh and delicious.

We went for the Thali, and it arrived like a feast--beautifully presented with a wide variety of dishes that felt both generous and thoughtfully prepared. The portions are no joke here; it's the kind of meal that keeps you going back for "just one more bite." What's even better is that they're happy to offer additional servings if you're still hungry, which makes the experience feel warm and hospitable rather than transactional. Flavor-wise, the food really shines. Each component of the Thali carries its own personality--rich, aromatic, and rooted in tradition. You can tell the kitchen isn't cutting corners when it comes to spices and authenticity. That said, a few items leaned a bit on the salty side for my taste. It didn't take away from the overall enjoyment, but it was noticeable enough to stand out among otherwise well-balanced dishes. All in all, it's a place that delivers on both quantity and authenticity. If you're craving a hearty South Indian meal that feels close to home-style cooking, Madras Cafe is definitely worth the visit. Come hungry--you'll need the appetite.

Regarding the service, our server was Badr, and he is a certified ROCK STAR. He went so far and beyond our expectations and his service is one of the main reasons our dining experience was so good. But you really want to hear about the food: Tea Service - Assum tea was delightful, with honey. Scallop and Pork Belly App - really great dish, very flavorful. Corn App - Khoki corn, I think it is called, probably the least favorite of all the dishes we sampled. Giraffe Bread - seems simple, but it is real treat. Overall bread service is great in all the AK restaurants. Short Ribs - another app, this one was so good. Morrocan Spiced Lamb - this was a fantastic dish, next time I may order two so I can take one home. Bone Marrow Crusted Filet - Another solid choice, filet was very well prepared and the flavor on the crust was delightful. Malva Pudding - good dessert, but I think there are other good ones. Raspberry Dome - get this dessert now and send me a DM thanking me for the tip . There is so much to do at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, please arrive early and walk through the lobby. There is usually a lot going on, plus if you walk to the back and you can view the animals. I might be biased, but the restaurants in the AK are all outstanding and known for different things. But with servers like Badr, it is hard to go wrong.

The flat bread and lamb were both good but I think the lamb has too much of the sauce flavor. Additionally (personal preference) I enjoy lamb chops more than the shank after trying this one out. One thing I enjoyed after the meal was going up to the overlooking area to see more animals roaming around.

It's nice that we didn't have to set a time when we wanted to ride. It made the experience so much more enjoyable, not having to constantly look at our phones. This is a classic ride that's been around since October 1, 1971. Ther original version opened earlier at Disneyland California on July 17, 1955, the Florida version has served as a staple attraction of the parks since inception. Disneyland is our home park so I have ridden this ride before, but not in a long time, we just don't make it a priority with such long lines this ride brings. This was our first opportunity to ride this ride in Disney World and we loved it. It's a lot like going on the Safari in Animal Kingdom as there is a tour guide with you making corny jokes, but this ride has animatronic animals. No real ones like they have at Animal Kingdom. The nice thing is on the Jungle Cruise you get to get up close to the elephants. This is a ride for the light hearted. Nothing scary about this ride. It take all ages and sizes, you don't have to meet a certain height. You also can ride this ride in a wheelchair. There is one boat (there may be more then one boat, all I know is the boat behind us and someone in a wheelchair getting on it) that is ADA accessible and can take you in a wheelchair and you don't have to transfer out and walk down a step.

She did great and kept the punch lines rolling! The animatronics in each mini island you floated by was great! We managed to get seats closer to her. That is what was recommended online!

The time frame we were there, on a late Thursday evening (the park itself was closed when we exited the restaurant), they constantly brought out fresh foods. Now for the food, I was not highly impressed. Most everything I tried was okay to good, but nothing great popped out at me. My better half may disagree, but this is my account and review. Maybe I just don't gravitate towards African flared foods, albeit I have eaten at other African inspired restaurants and been more satisfied. Although I sampled quite a few items I did not gravitate back towards anything in particular, except the salmon which I had a second piece on my second plate. Sadly the worst thing I tried was their version of chicken wings. They might have been good, flavor-wise, but I can't really say due to them being so dry I needed to wash the bite down so it wouldn't get stuck in my throat. Although our waitress was nice enough we were never offered drink refills until close to our completion time. We did not realize that there was character dining at dinner too (thought it was just breakfast time). Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy and Goofy roamed around the entire time we were there; making great memories for the children present, as well as some of us adults. Overall the experience was just okay to me. I don't know if I could justify paying full kitty to eat here again. Maybe if I brought the grandkids for the character experience and felt like dropping big bucks to do so.
