The entire thing screams clutter and spicy products (I think, I tried really hard to find them all, but maybe (probably) missed some) are maybe 20% of the floor space. The rest is coffee and mugs and t-shirts and pinon stuff and just random...shit. Back to my confusion...I don't understand why this place is called Chile ADdict when so little of the inventory is related to piquancy. I guess calling it a gift shop would be less interesting, maybe? Anyway, if you have a lot of time and patience to spend carefully hunting and foraging around this (sometimes precariously and hapazardly) scattered array, it can definitely be rewarding, but it won't be fast.

This places has pretty much everything you could imagine to help with your southwest or Mexican meal (not meat, but they do have dairy products). Those amazing roasted chiles, Bags and bags of chiles and any spice or seasoning you could ask for. We picked up Sweet Pecos Watermelons which are small but mighty. I also grabbed some nice cheeses and some jerky. Oh and of course, cookies. Biscochitos, chile cookies and wedding cookies. It's immaculately clean and the staff is tremdously helpful and friendly. We ALWAYS take visitors here and you should take yourself.

The cantaloupe was delicious, but I had to eat it quickly and their big cantaloupes. The watermelon was delicious, but it was so ripe. It didn't last three or four days and those are huge watermelons so if you're looking for a ripe fruit that you're going to use in the next day or two this is definitely the place. You absolutely cannot beat Pecos cantaloupe but you better really check your fruit and vegetables great staff everyone is very friendly very helpful. I just hate that the fruit is so ripe.

With nothing better to do, we wandered into BE Healthy Corner, noting it wasn't on Yelp. The owners were there, sweet people, they gave us a little tour of the place and I thought, huh, someday soon, I'll probably need these supplements. Basically a scaled-down version of Natural Grocers -- without the groceries -- the place is fairly stocked with homeopathic remedies, essential oils, organic products for your kitchen and your body, they also claim to own the largest selection of herbal remedies in the state. As an amateur chef, I appreciated their collection of fresh cooking herbs, many of which I'd never used or even heard of. Ten minutes nicely adventured. As we left, anxious for appetizers and discount drinks, our seven year-old said, and I quote, "That was the most boring store I've ever been in." Someday soon, kid, it won't be.

Yep, we are that addicted. My family's philosophy is the hotter the better. I'm a weakling but the guys in our family can never get it hot enough. We've tried every farm and stand in the area but our tried and true is Sichlers. Their extra hot is my husband's favorite. He loves the dried red chile pods for making his own red chile and getting the roasted green chile. We usually buy several sacks per year and separate them into freezer backs without the skins for individual uses. They also have giant pumpkins like I haven't seen anywhere else! And my father in law eats the apples as if they were candy!

Did they guide him to just buy a sack? No. Also they charged him the $5 roasting fee twice. So a sacks worth of chiles came out to $68 or so with tax. Rip off. I'm going back to Chile Konnection from now on.
