horrible place i got my finger cut while the lady was working and i literally got home and most of my fingers were already smudged ONE ALMOST EVERYTHING CAME OFF? even though I was told it was dry on my way out. I called to maybe get a refund because I live farther away in Chicago and they told me they would only give me a seven dollar refund for the polish since they did the manicure which was cutting my cuticles and filing them so they wouldn't give me the full price of a manicure back. I really wanted to like this place because it's close to my home. They have a great color selection. The place was clean and everyone was friendly. My "no chip" manicure chipped on the second day and has gotten progressively worse since then. I have never had a no chip look this bad after only a week. I felt compelled to give some stars because other than the really bad product, they did a good job. It's just not holding up at all. read more

I haven't had real nails my whole life, so getting manicures is my new addiction, in specific, no chip manicures since there is no dry time. I went to a place around the corner from me and got my first one, and thought it was pretty good. But now that I have gone here, I am blown away! 4T did a WAY better job, Jenny went back after each coat and corrected with a brush on each nail, it made the results absolutely perfect. The last place I went left a hunk of polish at my cuticle, but not here! I also liked how the drying lamps are built into the tables. Everything was clean and organized and no one was speaking in foreign languages. I will most definitely be a repeat customer! So happy this place is so close to me! Made Saturday 930 appts, which was smart on my part since there was half a dozen people already there when we walked in. Place looks good inside, tasteful colors and clean. We started with pedis, which was done by Tracy (on my mom) and an older woman on me. I normally bring my own base and top coat, which she used on me, of course. My mom did not get a base coat, nor a top coat with her polish! The shape of one of my toe nails I will need to reshape (see pic). Onto the manis: my mom got a top coat after her color, but no base. Mine was fine overall because I brought my own. The basic process was seriously lacking for doing nails. Needless to say, I should stop trying to find something close to home and make my trek out to St. Charles and go to Oh Nails! read more

Used to come here and have Ken do my no chip mani. They sold their shop and moved back to Michigan.. So now they have new people. I came in last month and had a no chip done by a new lady ( can't remember her name) and she was super rough when taking off my no chip.. Literally scraping so hard, even when I flinched and said "ow" she didn't ease up on the pressure. The no chip was okay.. Definitely Not the best I've had. I AM VERY PICKY. On the bright side, the lady was the sweetest, she actually had a nice conversation with me the whole time instead of talking in a different language to her friends like they normally do at nail salons. I came back the second time and had Kevin do my no chip because the lady I had last time swore by him and actually recommended me to him (she said he was he best!) I would disagree. I asked if he could file my nails down a little shorter and he said "no, they are already short" Then I asked again and he gave so much attitude... Mind you IT WASN'T EVEN BUSY! Even when I picked out my nail color he said "no I don't like that color" He also did not shape my nails how I asked ...sadly had to go home and reshape them myself. When he finished my no chip he said " no hand massage right?" As if it was a burden to slap some lotion on my hands and cuticle oil on my cuticles. At that point I was already annoyed so I said no because I just wanted to leave. Unfortunately, after the second experience, I decided that I'm going to have to find a new place. Don't work in a customer service environment if you can't give quality service! *sigh* read more

I loved 4t nails, when ken & tracy were the owners! I'm so sad they moved... I also loved tiffany! I wish I can find out what salon she went too, she is awesome at doing nails! The new owner is RUDE... I went in last monday & he completely ignored me. He asked what I needed done, I said a fully set, & I sat there for 20 mins, while one of ken's old workers (still works there) did another ladies nails & than a new lady just stared & sat on her phone! & the new owner was doing a ladies nails, I got sick of waiting so I finally walked out & they all just looked at me. I really really loved ken, he was so cool & laidback! Tracy was awesome also, I wish I knew they moved... So I do have to say, the first time I was here it was a terrible experience. I had the one guy there do my acrylics. Awful. He rushed, never said a word, and was rude when I asked him to fix something. But despite this terrible experience, I decided to give them another try. This time I got a no-chip and it was perfect! I love 4T Nails. They always have great service. Always quick and leave my nails looking great. Since I normally always get no chip and I tell them that from moment I walk in, I never realized something till today. They don't soak or "prep" you as much as they do with just regular manicure. I have three swollen and infected cuticles today. Why is that? Because yesterday I got a manicure and pedicture at 4T and the male technician didn't soak my hands, so when he used an unsanitized cuticle pusher and clippers they bled. The pedicure was great (even though foot bath, the buffer, and files weren't sanitized). Needless to say, I won't be back. read more

We had an "appointment" at 2:30pm for four pedicures and one manicure. In total, 5 people. I came in with an open mind reminding myself that it's unrealistic that we are all not gonna be started at the same time since it's also a walk in nail salon. However, it was worse than expected. They only had three chairs open, four workers, and there were already six people getting their nails done. Terrible experience. We had to take turns going to then bar next door while we waited for the next nail technician to be free. We miss Tracy and her husband. Wish they were here because this place is a mess. read more

I went here for over 8 years. They sold it without even a good bye. Typical when a person sells a business but the new owners shouldn't have a business if they don't want to do it. I started to go to Design Nails on Gary Ave and Tami and the girls are very sweet and do a great job! I have difficult toes and she gets the nails so they don't hurt my feet. I highly recommend it! And they are less expensive! The feet and hand massages are great too and they don't ask if you want one or charge extra! read more
