Really good fried chicken. Very different from other spots. The sauce with the onions was unique. I like that it's a no frill spot. Just good beer and chicken. Service was quick and straight forward. The side dishes are good but honestly just go there for the chicken. Will go back.

Fried chicken with soy and garlic glaze

5 stars for the chicken, 3.5 stars for the appetizers. This is a small, nondescript Korean fried chicken place near a LIRR station in deep Flushing. My friend and I had the fried chicken with soy and garlic glaze (whole chicken cut into pieces), tteokbokki, and fried vegetables. Water is self serve. The tteokbokki was on the bland side. Definitely needed more spice. I expected the fried vegetables to be more like tempura but it was more like pakora. Decent but not great. The chicken comes with pickled radishes and a cabbage slaw. Both were good. The fried chicken was delicious! It was made to order so it was fresh and so crispy! The soy garlic flavor was scrumptious. I highly recommend getting a whole chicken instead of just wings and drumsticks. I enjoyed the body pieces more than the wings and drum pieces. They were crisper and reheats well in the microwave. One order was enough for 4 servings.

Loved this spot. It's quiet, small calm spot. The staff is friendly and doesn't bother you. The fried chicken really is the star. It's made to order, so you will wait about 20 mins for it. WORTH THE WAIT. It's juicy, crunchy, delicious, not overwhelming amount of sauce. That paired with soju is a fun night for rambling. Hahaha. I'll be back very soon.

Sweet spicy fried chicken and honey bbq

Hole in the wall KFC? Cheaper than your typical chain fried chicken for a banging flavor. Pretty sure the two sauce option for 24 pieces ended up being a whole chicken including some parts de-boned. The honey bbq and spicy flavor was delicious, curious to try their soy based next time. Service is once you order, it's made fresh so it's worth the wait! Grab a beer on tap or a bottle of soju to enjoy with some friends.

Update: review of the mayo sauce I am officially OBSESSED with the mayo sauce!! Since my first review I have been back and ordered the half fried/ half sweet spicy with a side of mayo sauce (with extra onion this time). The mayo sauce is great on their fried chicken (still kinda dry) but Ive used it on some leftover rotisserie chicken as well and it was soooo good. Definitely one of my favorite sauces of all time and will have me coming back.

This place has been on my radar and my cousin actually suggested we get takeout here so it worked out! We ordered the half fried chicken and half soy sauce chicken. The chicken tasted really light and not oily, which was great. It felt like a healthier... fried chicken. I preferred the soy sauce flavor and am very eager to try the glazed one! I didn't try the rainbow roll but I had some of the hwe bap. It was okay. The raw fish was mediocre. I would come here for the chicken again but pass on the sushi.

After watching a two part documentary on Netflix called "Korean Pork belly Rhapsody" that discusses pork prominence in Korea, well actually more than just pork belly they showed many other cuts and preparations with Jokbal (Pig trotters) being one of the featured dishes. Searching on Yelp my friend and I found Yental Tongdak have a platter (small and large) so we could satisfy our porky cravings. The small platter was a home run with delicious slices of pork and the bones included as well - the meat, cartilage and skin all prepared deliciously well. It comes with sides of jalapeno and garlic, and a duo of dipping sauces. Highly recommend! Of course we had to try the chicken as well so we ordered the 8 piece wings which were expertly done with crispy skin and juicy meat. These were so good. Can't wait to try more, but its easy to see that the preparation and care they put into their chicken blows most other KFC spots out of the water. The small place is mainly takeout and delivery with some tables in the back. They also do sushi (Their website is actually https://chickenandsushi.com/). We called our order in ahead of time and it took 20 min. Staff was friendly. This is my new KFC takeout spot and when the mood hits for Jokbal I will be back for sure!

We originally chose this place because I was seriously craving jokbal, but unfortunately, they were out. We ended up ordering their half soy chicken and half bbq chicken. Seriously, SO much chicken for the price. The soy chicken was our favorite of the two. The bbq chicken was too saucy for us, and I don't know why I was so surprised that it tasted like actual bbq sauce LOL. Overall, solid KFC with generous portions.

I've heard some good things about this place, so it's been on my bucket list of places to go while I'm Flushing. It's a bit of a whole in the wall place, but they make great chicken. Dropped by and ordered the wings. The sauce was a bit strong, but the wings were fantastic. Fresh, made to order, and juicy. I believe I tried the sweet and spicy sauce. It tasted like a general tso sauce. I didn't like the sauce that much. I'm interested to try some of the other options on the menu. They look to have an old style chicken that looks interesting. I may also try a different flavor next time.

Sweet and spicy chicken [with a few pieces already eaten] ($24, delivery) - huge!
Jess L.

A KFC joint with over 4 stars? How could it be? I wouldn't call myself KFC expert, but I've tried a lot of the places around Queens and the New England area. Yetnal was definitely solid. The sweet and spicy had a bit milder than I expected given the Yelp reviews saying it's super hot, but I did like the balance and perfect crispiness. The $24 box that's on DoorDash is huge and easy to share with 3 or 4 people. We were less impressed by the spicy rice cakes. The dish was hotter than the chicken, so I'll give it that, but the amount for the money was meh. I liked the hard boiled egg that was included. It was just a bit too soupy. I would skip next time.

Yetnal Tongdak is a hidden spot for authentic Korean fried chicken in Flushing. Their name is in Korean, didn't know the exact English translation, showing "BongEe Chicken" on google map. We had Half & Half chicken ($23) and chicken gizzard stir fry ($15). The portion with reasonable price was enough to feed 4 people. The food was amazingly delicious and served fresh. The Half & half chicken was sweet & spicy + Soy garlic or honey BBQ, super juicy inside and addictive. The layer was fried partially crispy and partially wet with tasty sauce. There are 2 options for chicken gizzard, fried and stir fry on menu. We ordered stir fry to prevent it from being too greasy in the end and the gizzard was cooked perfectly with onion and pepper. When we picked up the order, we saw an order with Jokbal which is sliced pork feet, looked so finger-licking. Hence, we decided to visit again next week for Jokbal.

This place is extremely overpriced for no reason. We got the rosé tteokbokki and it was around $30…read more The base tteokbokki is around $19, if you want rosé flavor, its an extra $6 and we added on ramen which was an extra $3. Tteokbokki is considered street food and its literally rice & fish cakes. And they give you 3 pieces of ginmari. No reason it should be $19. Then for rosé flavor, which is literally just adding heavy cream to the sauce, is an extra $6. Then we ordered the 10 wing + 5 drumstick combo and we asked for half/half sauce assuming half of the 15 pieces are one sauce and the second half is another sauce. First off, they charge you $2 for sauce, which is fine but tell me why they charged us $2 FOUR times. So $8 total for sauce bc they separated the 10 wings into 5 and 5 and put one sauce each and they charged $2 each for that. And then they separated the 5 drumsticks into 3 and 2 and put one sauce each and charged $2 each for that. So total for 10 wings & 5 drumsticks was around $44. I've literally been to every korean fried chicken place on northern blvd and never have they separated the chicken like that and charged the sauces that way. Like why are you charging us for sauce 4 times when it is one single order of chicken. Never coming back here. Its a legit rip off. On top of that, they charge you for to-go containers, which is free at every restaurant. They just charge you exorbitant prices for literally every single thing here. We spent $85, not including tip, on tteokbokki, 15 pc of chicken & an order of fries.

When you get lucky, Legend Chicken is the best fried chicken in New York City and the closest thing to actual Taiwan you'll find here ...the cutlet, the popcorn chicken, real night-market flavor, an easy 7/10. But it's a gamble. Run into the rude staff and it falls apart: they won't even acknowledge you, they look miserable, and the chicken comes out overcooked and dry. It sometimes it feels like one of those gimmick restaurants where they're rude on purpose, except it's not a joke. In Taiwan the people behind these counters are genuinely warm, and tipping isn't even a thing. Here I've tipped generously and still been treated like an inconvenience.

However, my friends really wanted to try their food, so I obliged. We got a few items. The popcorn chicken was just okay. Too much batter and too little meat. The fried chicken wings were quite juicy, but not much flavor whatsoever. Same goes for the 3 for $5 deal where we ordered spicy. The chicken thigh had a tiny bit of heat, but overall bland. Even worse with the drumstick and whole wing. With high ratings, this was major a letdown. It took me forever to finally try this spot, and it's definitely one and done for me.

Rating: 4/10 Date Last Visited: 1/17/2026…read more I ordered the Chicken Sandwich ($3). The sandwich was cheap, so I wasn't expecting much, and I didn't receive much. The sandwich is very small and looked a bit sad, but honestly, it was decent. The chicken itself was decent, but the sauce was good. I would need to go back and try their actual fried chicken, since I feel like they have better entrees than this. Also, it felt like the chicken sandwich was not fresh at all since it was already a bit cold when I received it. They're located in the New World Mall food court and take credit cards, which is convenient. Overall, I would not recommend the chicken sandwich here, but maybe I'll come back and try the fried chicken.
