But from your first session, everything is explained to you clearly, you can request an essential oil of your choice, reminders to breath through the procedure, clear communication of what is happening at each step, massages, and patience. Overall amazing for me. Even my skeptic boyfriend ended up liking Lavage, and we did three sessions each. Unfortunately, we moved, but are looking to drop in whenever we are back in town. The only downside is the fact that you must pay in cash (or check) and it costs a pretty penny. I think the prices are fair, just wish they accepted credit cards. So you reach the half-a-century mark and it's time for your very first colonoscopy. (Although they've been pushing to lower the age to 45, I hear.) Everyone from the lady at the front desk to the handful of nurses and technicians were stellar. You're running on fumes (I'll spare you exactly what 'prep day' is all about) and probably cranky and nervous (guilty as charged!) and all of 'this' is very strange so it's nice that everyone was personable, professional, and respectful. I also appreciated that they were sending me texts a day before my scheduled procedure (to make sure I was following all the detailed instructions properly) as well as a text checking on me the day after (to make sure you're doing good). My biggest/only issue: the same it is with almost every doctor for every field out there... their overbooking and zero consideration of how valuable your time is. 10:15 was my scheduled arrival time. I didn't get my name called till 11:45 to start the whole shebang. I'm not sure how you can square that circle. 90 minutes is bordering on ridiculous, let's be honest. (I can't tell you how many times I watched the same handful of stories for News 12 NJ that was playing on the one TV in their lobby.) But... maybe it's the aftereffects of the propofol (your mind will be blown how fast you're knocked out and then it feels like two seconds passed when they're waking you up and you realize they're finished and you're done) but everything else was a positive experience (and I'm tickled pink I don't have to go again for another decade - by then I'll probably forget how horrible all the prepping was) that I'm not docking any stars. (But you've been warned.)

Rude and when you ask if they are running behind - they say a little when you see when you arrive at 10:15 and that is your appointment, there are three others in the waiting room ahead of you. I would like to share my experience with Wish of Wellness because it is so hard to find a good colon hydro-therapist and this is actually the best that I know of. I have suffered from stomach pains for years. My Dr. Diagnosed me with Hpylori years ago and put me on a ton of antibiotics which instead of healing me made me feel worse. Location for me is everything cuz I'm a creature of convenience, so having this place within walking distance of my work place (where I accumulate so much sh...stuff to begin with) is clutch! The place is CLEAN which can go without saying, but is absolutely the bare minimum of what is needed from a place collecting our most unmentionables (I can't help myself). A very friendly attendant/nurse? helps you to your room, and are standing before the Poop Collector, a massive system that's gonna fill you up so you can empty out (I can't stop laughing). Anyhoo, she explained that I'd be flying this poop mobile solo, which, EVERYONE wants to do...do. She talked through that first push and I was so happy to see her leave the room. For the next 30-45 minutes I experienced what can only be described as a trip through my dietary history, where with every push out I recalled all the horrible things I'd eaten to land me on this throne. Not gonna lie, after you get past the butt plug, water guts, and pool of your own soup that your butt is sitting in, it's a really good feeling. She comes back to explain that you gonna pop off the probe and then release them innards until you feel empty, the rinse off with a hose (that if you aren't careful can wet up the whole room) before baby wiping and getting dressed. I felt so cared for and decided that I would get the 4 pack cuz this gut is my main priority. In other words, clean your butt system here.
