I've just started seeing her, after our move, but found to be understanding, knowledgable, and easy to talk to.

He is a founding partner of Tri City Cardiologists, and very well respected in the Valley in his field. We see him at the Banner Heart Hospital location, it is always busy, but the wait has never been excessive. All of the ancillary staff are friendly and welcoming, we are particularly fond of Gloria, his fabulous Medical Assistant who moves mountains of red tape with a smile. All niceties aside, it is the medical care that counts: within five minutes of reviewing Scott's records and examining him, the Dr. declared "you need a heart transplant, young man," I literally burst into tears of joy, as the aforementioned Dr. refused to even discuss this, preferring to treat with pharmaceuticals condition(s) which are fatal without a new heart. He promptly referred us to the Mayo Clinic Heart Transplant Program, but still follows Scott monthly. Another wonderful and reassuring aspect of being under his care is that nearly every hospital, Dr., nurse, and caseworker we meet speaks highly of him, many trained under him, and we have heard nothing but praise for him. Finally, Dr. Perlstein has the bedside manner of Doctors I recall from my youth: friendly, but stern when necessary, he listens to all of our concerns, never rushes the appointment, is funny, charming, humble (when we first met, I told him I was impressed with his credentials and pleased we were able to bypass a months-long wait list to see him; he chuckled and said: "Oh, that is my son, Todd, HE is the big deal. Not me!") He always tells us he will continue to practice "until he gets it right." We hope so, I truly don't believe Scott would be alive today had we not been blessed to be under Dr. Perlstein's care. He also has the tightest sock game, always a different, cute pair. Thank you, Dr. Perlstein!

I had no issues with our physicians but I believe some of those at their desk could do a lot better in general. I let go of the times they were disrespectful because they had competent physicians but my last encounter with them made me let go. I was due for my annuals and I received a reminder 2 days before the appointment. I called to reschedule because I had work that day and one of the personnels asked, "why?" in a very unprofessional tone.. she continued to ask, "why will you not be able to make it?". Pardon my language but the way she asked was in a bitchy and sassy tone. This appointment was created a year before and I did fail to follow up with them and would have not remembered if they had not called 2 days prior. Life happens but I again, I did fail on my part. I explained to her and someone else spoke to me and said for me to be a client I needed to be seen within the year and I was over due. All this I understood but instead of them trying to help me figure things out on how I could get an annual with them or maybe be a little bit more kind on the phone, they made me feel I was at fault for not being on top of my health and they made me feel I wouldn't be a lost if I left their practice. The following day I requested to speak with Heather and I told her that I'd like to be removed from their client's list and she just said, "okay, thank you, bye" while I was still talking. I told her, "excuse me, but I am still talking". I explained to her that for me, to call a client 2 days before an appointment, an appointment that was made a year ago is not enough time. I said it would have been more feasible if the reminder was done a week before like how we have experienced it with most of my health practitioners. All she said was, "no we don't do that here, nobody does, bye". She was polite yet I could tell she did not care and I felt disregarded. And these are just one of the reasons why we left. I agree, I'm partially at fault too, I should have been more proactive however I was dealing with my husband's deployment at that time and barely had time for myself because I was taking care of everything and everyone. The attitude and professionalism of some of their office personnel have is unacceptable and is not suited in their industry when you're supposed to be taking care of people. Maybe they could be a little bit more kind, respectful, professional, etc.
