We bought a car from them last year, and all we needed was 500 dollars down, i thought it was a…read moregood deal, since im a guy and mechanically inclined, i thought a buy here pay here was a good idea, due to the fact of todays economy, well the car we bought had transmission problems so we returned it after a month, and the salesman chuck told me he would give me a credit on my next car but i needed a additional 500 down to cover the taxes, so i ended up giving him the money and drove off in a different car, well needless to say the other vehicle needed repaired so they took it in and fixed it all was fine for about 2 weeks and the part the "fixed" part went bad, found out they get all their parts from a scrap yard down the road or replace it with a part from a vehicle wrecked in the back, also they charged me 200 dollars for labor and 50% up sell on the part, needless to say they added it to my bill, the only good thing is you can return the vehicle no problems, you just lose what you have paid, oh and the nice cars dont go to the customers the 90 year old owner has to drive them for a year before you can get one, and by that time its trashed, if you want a cheap car that will break down on you and a outragous car payment, you should come here, if you want a wacked out mechanic that reminds you of a character from the hills have eyes have him work on it, if you want a salesman that reminds you of a 50 year old las vegas divorcee go here...also make sure you keep your recepits they mess up alot on how much you have paid and i dont know how many times i got a phone call of a payment never made, that was because someone that works there has a green thumb..

Worse place to work in sales. The management position here is basically a revolving door. The owner…read moreis full of him self thinks so highly about himself he probably perks off to his own photo of himself. The management that hired me where good actually nice and professional guys also cared about thier sales team, but after the first month I watched my GM get shown the door. Then the following months the used car manager quit showed him self the door. Leaving my friend that was the finance manager to be the used manager and GM. Then the owner came out to desk deals. This is where the bad started to happen. He was soo confident in him self he lost me several deals. Then had the audacity to say he's made more sales than anyone there. The dude is a joke with the temperament of a child. The sales team is cool but the owner makes it the worst environment. My point is if you wanna buy a vehicle that isn't technically rebuilt but pretty close to it this is the place. As an example I sold a Jeep Grand Cherokee to this nice service customer for it to already have issues of not starting right away. Also if you buy a used durango from them take it to your own mechanic before buying sense service workers are good people but have the fear that the owner will fire them. So they will do shady things on his behalf. Also even if you buy your vehicle from them and you don't buy a extended warranty they tell the customer it's on them.

I haven't actually had work done on my vehicle by this shop as I'm not local, but I can attest to…read morethe quality and integrity of the people that operate it! While en route to Cedar Point from Columbus with an SUV full of kids, I started to experience car trouble. My daughter googled auto repair shops near us as the handling of my SUV began to decline rapidly and I slowed down and drove with my hazards on. By the grace of God, we were only 5 minutes from Tom's Auto Repair! As I pulled into their parking lot, Daniel came out from the garage right away to make sure we were okay as he noticed the flashers on. I explained to him what I was experiencing and after emptying my vehicle of restless kids, the team had it up on a lift in no time and quickly diagnosed the issue(s). They said I was lucky that I stopped, as with the state of my wheel bearing and front bushing, we might not have even made it the next 30 minutes to the park. Daniel didn't have the specific part I needed, but called around to other local shops to see if anyone had it on hand. With none found nearby, he and Alexis helped me problem solve from that point on. I called AAA to tow my SUV to a repair shop back home, and Daniel was already on the phone with local taxi services to to help us a way to Cedar Point, without me even asking. Alexis then called Fleet One for a rental and a Ford Explorer was delivered to the auto shop in less than 15 minutes! The tow truck came quickly as well, and Daniel provided a written analysis of the issue and parts needed to pass along to my local shop. What's even more impressive, is that he refused to collect a dime for his and his team's time, diagnosis, and help. They even cleaned up a wound and provided a bandaid for one of my son's friends who was with us! I was in tears by the time I left, grateful for the good people that God placed us close to at a time of need. I highly recommend Tom's Auto Repair to anyone in the Norwalk area and will always be a fan! Thanks again for saving my son's 13th birthday and keeping us safe, Daniel & team. You guys went above and beyond for nothing in return, and with that kind of integrity and character, I would absolutely trust you with the care of my or my loved ones vehicles in heartbeat. Thanks again, a million times over!
