Plainfield Co-op logo on a shirt

The place where I work has been getting shirts printed here for years. They are always very friendly and do great work.

They sold me the car and said that they had to do some work on it and put a fresh inspection sticker on it. They gave me a loaner vehicle while this service was done. I recieved the vehicle back on October 27th. I drove the vehicle up the road to my kids school a few miles up the road from me and I had a strong oil smell and the check engine light was blinking. I brought it home and my husband said it was leaking oil. He brought it that next morning when they opened. They said it needed something and would fix it. They then again gave me a loaner and said it would be taken care of. They had my car from October 28th-December 24th. On January 3rd the vehicle started losing power going up hills and the check engine light was blinking and eventually went to solid. I called them again. They took the car in and had it a few days and said it was fixed. They dropped it off at 4:30. I drove to my second job and it immediately started blinking again. I called and left a message for the general manager and service and have not got a response. They have been avoiding me and tossing me to different voicemails. Today 2/9/24, I was driving home from work and the car died. I pleaded for someone to speak with me. They said that it would be 3 weeks before they could get it in. I explained how frustrated that I had paid and continue to pay for a vehicle that is sitting in my yard. I have 4 children who all play sports and I work two jobs. I cannot be without a vehicle. The lady in service put me on hold. She came back and said her schedule is what it is and just so I know anything from here is all my respsibility including any further repair or loaner vehicles. This is so frustrating.  I feel so taken advantage of.

WOW I just love my RAV4 which is 100% safe and undamaged according to Service Director Steven…read moreReese. I'm not sure how he came to the conclusion that my suspension was not intermittently shaking "violently" between 65-75 MPH when I had a large sign in my car forbidding him from driving it due to metal fatigue, which is why it was just flatbedded 40 miles to 802, or without him driving on a road that comes close to 65 according to my GPS. But I know you professionals have your secrets! I'll still have to disagree that road tests are required, since no other Toyota agrees. I'm a bit confused how Steve ruled out suspension resonance as a potential cause when he asked me to explain what it was AFTER my inspection, even though I had told him I was there due to suspension resonance damage, and then he told me that it was "way over his head" when I explained it (road bumps are making the car bounce at 10x speed). But I'm not a service manager, so who knows? STEVE REESE DOES, and he says this car is in EXCELLENT shape for a 2015 Toyota. Although every other Toyota dealership disagrees with 802 again, and says that the car I bought 10 months prior that Toyota is still selling for $15k is only worth $1-4k, and therefore legally totaled by my state laws. It's incredibly honorable of Toyota to give Steve a chance working on suspensions even though he has no knowledge about why suspensions are designed the way they are, and therefore doesn't understand how they work. I'm sure nothing bad could come from that! Unfortunately if he would have watched that video of my vehicle oscillating wildly in front of a large oncoming truck (the video he understandably refused to watch- Tinyurl. com/VehicleSafetyVideo), he would have seen the definition of suspension resonance at the end. I do wish that Steve could've found a reason that all 12 tires I had on the car within 51 days were wobbling and getting worn down. But at least he was able to diagnose my car as having wobbly tires, and also generously offered to help me increase those numbers to 16 wobbly tires in 85 days. I don't necessarily agree that the issue was my $1,100 "economy" Wrangler Steadfast tires with 379 miles on them, since Goodyear, as well as Toyota employees from multiple dealerships, including 802's General Sales Manager, says that they're premium tires! So I'll have to disagree with 802 that replacing them with the same exact premium tires would help align drivability with my premium ride expectations. I didn't know that not wanting your suspension to oscillate 10 times per second was a premium feature. Hopefully this comes standard in the next model! Thanks Steve for putting my mind at ease by certifying that my vehicle was safe and in great condition for its age on multiple occasions. I was convinced resonance was intermittently violently shaking my car, making it hard to stay on the road, destroying 12 tires and my suspension, and filling me with existential dread and nausea every time I drive. But it turns out it was just my 3rd set of premium-economy tires since April 30th wibbly wobbling down the road, as they do, and hysterics! As I mentioned, I'm not a mechanic, so this has all been very hard for me to comprehend. Luckily VT is a one-party consent state, so I was able to secretly record our conversation about how my car is completely undamaged and definitely not shaking so I could go over it later with a MAN to help explain it to me. I'd also like to formally apologize that this whole situation was so stressful for your employee. I know that being around someone you just endangered can be scary! I appreciate you keeping sales discussions open "at your discretion", however I just bought a 2025 Forester.

I called 802 and they had one so I went and picked it up and installed it.for the tune of 400.00 + ! that didn't fix the problem so I went to to local garage and they hooked it up and went for a ride it was the same place as the speed sensor but the axle baring so I call them to order it and they had one on hand so the next day I got. when I was there my wife was with me I had concerns of it being the right one and also said passenger side rear he said yes . I came home got it all together put it in the rear end housing to find it wasn't the right one. I called him back he told me it was unfortunate that that happened but he would sell me another for 368. he said that's employee discount i said no I already paid 518. For the wrong one I want my money back. He said it's my fault. So I sad when you call and it says you will be recorded for quality insurance let's listen to to call when Initiall called to order and see what I said . Find real service elsewhere…read more In 2024, we bought a 2022 VW Taos with about 20,000 miles that had previously been leased and serviced by this dealer. A couple of months later, the coolant warning light came on and the coolant level had dropped noticeably -- something normal temperature changes couldn't explain. When I called the service department, the supervisor said they had never heard of such problems with the Taos and told us to bring the car in. However, even a quick online search showed that many 2022 Taos models had coolant leaks caused by incorrect head gasket installation, and a parts representative at another VW dealer confirmed they had repaired several vehicles for this exact issue. We decided to take the car to another VW dealer instead, and they completed the head gasket repair under warranty. It's been over nine months since the repair, and the car has had no further coolant loss. I have no idea why this dealer didn't address this before selling the car (or at least acknowledge the issue when we called), but it left me with little confidence in their service practices. I now have the vehicle serviced elsewhere and confident about the work done on the car. And, I learned to do much better homework before buying my next car to avoid dealing with similar problems in the future.
