The salesperson does not give all the information and facts when promoting sale of car starters or other merchandise. According to Kyle, the business automatically sets the car starter for 15 mins. This is done without asking the consumer. I mentioned before purchase that I wanted 20 mins. After expressing my concern regarding the run time, Kyle was very rude and said 15 mins 20 mins whats the difference? The difference is 5 mins and that his name is not on my paycheck. When asked to reset the time, Kyle was not willing to make the change. I was made to feel as if it was my fault for not asking more questions. Spoke with Yipes owner and he was willing to accommodate a change request; however, expressed no empathy for the less than positive interaction I experienced with salesperson Kyle. I did not feel comfortable returning to Yipes in Williston for any further service. Do not recommend Yipes in Williston VT. The salesperson at Yipes in Plattsburg NY was more helpful and friendly. Also the Yipes in NY is less expensive. Note: My request to extend the run time was a very easy request and took less than a half hour to make the change. read more

Spoke with Kyle about a backup camera installation. Extremely rude when replying to my questions, laughed and stated "are you kidding?!" when discussing pricing I'd seen for cameras online (e-trailer.com, very reputable site) then proceeded to tell me to "knock myself out" trying those. Would not recommend doing business with them, unless you enjoy being belittled. I may be naive about this subject matter, I understand that, but the flippant attitude and rude remarks were not going to convince me, or anyone else for that matter, to spend the "$800 minimum" he demanded for a camera installation at his place of business. read more

Horrible customer service. The sales representative's demeanor, mannerisms, and communication style was confrontative and rude making an issue of a circumstance that was simply obviously a mistake, not something warranting fault-finding or defensive behavior on the part of YIPES. I found it impossible to initiate a discussion about moving forward to an alternative to the problem. I agree with a former reviewer's comment that some customer service and positive communication training may be advantageous. read more

I had a remote starter put in my car in October 2023. Kyle Keefe guided me through the process and gave outstanding service. Kyle was even able to give me an appointment earlier than expected. Lost my car keys, including my only fob for an old Compustar remote car starter. Stopped in to see if Yipes sold replacements fobs and even though they no longer sell this brand, they still helped me out. I was able to find a fob online and they helped program it. The remote I've had fur so many years I can't remember abs it's been installed in 3 different cars, decided to stop working. Then it worked. Then it didn't. Put a new battery in the remote, didn't resolve the issue. Brought it in the shop. No problem. It started. Brought it home it started fur two days then stopped. I called to make an appointment and the next day it worked again, for 7 days. Jeff says they've never had this issue It needs to go back To the shop. I brought it in the late afternoon in the 7th. The 8th at 8 am I get a call it's resolved. Long story short the computer froze. They rebooted abs reprogrammed it. Hopefully we are good to go. Let me say how patient Jeff was. i talked with Kyle a few times but he wasn't in. Anyway. I didn't have to pay for their work. They had not seen this issue before. I can't say enough about how nice I was treated. Go to Yipes in Williston for a great experience You don't regret it. read more

We started a political party, the Green Mountain Party and wanted some vinyl graphics put on my vehicle. Worked with Madison, she was awesome, the truck looks great. Madison was very, very easy to work with and together we were able to put on something very, tasteful, that looked like a million bucks. She was an excellent person to work with and brainstorm. Rarely have I had the experience of working with someone that was so easy and open to finding the right solution. She and Yipes Stripes did a solid for our group, will not hesitate to use them again. We had Yipes install a remote car starter about 3 years ago and it worked great for the first year. Then in the second year something happened to it and it stopped working. Even though we drive by Yipes everyday we never got around to having them look at it. This year we decided to get it fixed before it got too cold. We got a call a few hours later saying the controller was fried and it was going to cost some money to fix. We said that it has not worked for almost two years and we just havent brought it in. They took our word for it and fixed it at no charge. Yipes had every right to charge us for being too lazy, but they did not. Thanks Yipes , You are great. read more

My advice to you if you want your vehicle tinted save yourself the pain and agony and DON'T go here. I brought my car here January of 2016 to have the rear windows and back window tinted. Upon completion the margins on the small windows looked like crap and there were bubbles/lines throughout the back window. I brought it back to yipes to show them and what I received was essentially a big book of excuses as to why the tint didn't come out looking good. He was instantly defensive, and extremely rude. He told me and I quote "I'll try and do it for you again but if I can't get it any better than that I'll just rip it off and give you your money back." That didn't really instill a whole lot of confidence in me but I told him I would like to set up a date to have it fixed. I explained that I paid $270 and I expected a job that was worth $270 otherwise I could go to any of their competitors and pay a better price. Anyways I brought it back today to have them redone and when I picked it up I undoubtedly noticed damage on my back passenger side molding (see pictures attached). Needless to say I will NEVER EVER go back to yipes again. read more
