This is an amazing traditional gyro. The the meat was thinly sliced with a great flavor. Lettuce and tomato seem very fresh. What really set the sandwich off was the great tzatziki sauce on warmed pita bread. We also got a chocolate chip cookie, which was also very tasty. The service counter was very quick. Ambience was quiet mid-afternoon, and a bit interesting given the furniture appeared with some Asian designs, perhaps redecorating or transitions from another owner. Available for takeout or dine-in, and friendly service at counter. Overall 3.0 experience for me on food quality, tastes and ambience. Expect to spend ~$10pp for food. Tried a Traditional Gyro sandwich and Gyro salad today. Both were OK, but not as good as I've had at comparable places. The Gyro meat was good, freshly cut (from the spit) and quite tasty. My two disappointments were the unflavorful/plain Tzatziki sauce, a critical dish element, which wasn't a creamy consistency; also, the pita bread is normally grilled/warmed but today was cool, having been heated in advance of building the sandwich so didn't feel like a finished sandwich. The lettuce, tomato, onion, peppers and cucumber were fresh in the salad so glad for the generous veggie portion. First time I went I order the gyro loaded fries and an original gyro. Food tasted good, but a little bit bland. The second time I went I ordered a Greek salad. I asked the guy running the cash register that evening "what dressing typically goes on the salad?" He responded with "that's a weird question to ask at a restaurant, it's your taste buds." I found this to be pretty rude and didn't realize a simple question deserved scoffing at. The correct answer was the Greek vinaigrette, not tzatziki or attitude. St. Louis has some great Yiro places - and this is certainly one to be on the list of places to try. They do a great job of making the food so fresh! Each order is prepared fresh as you order in a very efficient "assembly line" style counter. They're are so many options and although I have my go to favorites it's worth bringing a friend so you can try several different options. Finally open! My husband and I both got the classic gyro. The pita bread was light and tasty, there was a good serving of gyro meat that had a good crisp to it. I used to live 5 minutes from The Gyro Company and eat there regularly. Yiro Gyro is the same family and they're carving the gyro meat off exactly the same kind of cone because it tastes the same which is a good thing. Yiro Gyro is a little different though in that you choose your base (lettuce for me), protein (gyro slices for me), vegetables (red cabbage, chickpeas, & onions for me), and sauce (tzatziki for me.) Think of it as a Greek Chipotle. This was a nice meal. Generous portion although not quite as generous as their Manchester store and very tasty. I'll be back next time I'm in Fenton. read more

The owner is super nice, but I have not seen him in a long time. There does seem to be a bit of negativity from some of the staff at times. And of course everyone has bad days, but it is noticeable at times. I understand that life can be tough but part of what a person is buying when they eat out is an experience based on being served and not an experience where the customer is made to feel as if they are not welcome. Again - this is NOT every time I go in there and the quality of the food has always been excellent in my opinion. The food is excellent! Falafel is great! Gyros are great! Fries are great! I would eat here a LOT more often if they offered participation in delivery platforms. Perhaps they once offered delivery but too many complaints that resulted in losses that prevented them from continuing? It is a tough economy for these small franchises and I do hope they are able to offer Fenton this kind of quality variety. read more
