Jaffra is absolutely amazing! You can tell the owners put their heart and soul into creating the wonderful dishes they serve. Hummus, baba ganoush, tabbouleh, and the Turkish Salad are amazing. If you haven't had turkish salad, just try it! The flavors will blow your mind! Can't go wrong with a single entree either. Amazing lamb, beef, etc. Was also very impressed with the lentil/rice dish. And of course try the Baklava. It is not your typical baklava and delightfully full of cinnamon. And the Turkish coffee, YUM!

As a Mediterranean food aficionado, I would definitely recommend you try out Jafra. It truly is a hidden gem that's worth visiting. The restaurant gives cozy vibes with the tables and chairs that you may find at a nice home dinner parties and decor around the restaurant with the subtle pink/white flowers gives it just enough pop of color. Staff are very attentive and friendly as well. The food is where they truly shine though. Although everything was really good from the flavors to presentation, for me, The Turkish Salad, Musakhan, and the baklava stood out. Turkish salad was very flavorful and was a nice pair for the bread. Musakhan looked very familiar like a typical flatbread/pizza, but with amazingly rich caramelized onion flavor paired with almonds and sumac grilled chicken. Finally, they served the best baklava that I've had which was not overpoweringly sweet where you could actually taste the cinnamon and nut filling.

Had an amazing experience at Jafra's. The food was fantastic, I don't think I had a single bite I didn't enjoy. Plates are large and great for sharing and for leftovers. Service was prompts and attentive and the restaurant was very clean and tidy. I loved the cute flower decor they had! Highly recommend, can't wait to bring people here and watch them light up at the first bite

What can I say! This was my first time visiting Jafra Mediterranean Restaurant and I was OVERLY satisfied. The restaurant is located in a nice location and is very ADA compliant. Plenty of family styled seating and the staff was extremely kind and welcoming. I'm pretty sure we tried everything on the menu. I felt like royalty the way the plates kept coming to the table lol My favorite things to eat were the eggplant hummus and the Ouzi! If you are a fan of tender protein go with the lamb! Everything was so flavor-filled and made with love. AND the Baklava was THE BEST I had ever had! Highly Recommend!

Tried a little bit of everything, and everything was amazing. The tzatziki sauce was so amazingly balanced between the lemon and cucumber. The pickled turnips were an unexpected delight! The falafel was so flavorful and crunchy on the outside. Best I've ever had! The owner introduced himself to us, and welcomed us into their space. The ambiance and decor was light and comfortable. Beautiful Turkish lamps and cherry blossoms everywhere. Very pretty! Will return! Everything was delicious!

It is not easy to balance delicate spiced flavors in a big way, but Jafra does it perfectly. Each dish had my full focus and appreciation. I loved the thoughtful presentations paired with a welcoming, friendly atmosphere. You can tell the owner loves this business and cares for the experience of his guests, and the folks he has staffing the kitchen pull off this mediterranean dream beautifully. I adore a good baba ghanouj and this one was heavy on the smokey flavor, I couldn't possibly choose between that and the garlicky smooth hummus. I've never had turkish salad before and it was out of this world, bursting with fresh flavor. The meats here are excellent quality, I especially appreciated the fork-tender lamb and the condiments paired with them. The flatbread-esque Musakhan was a new one for me and the toasted almonds really set off the chicken and sweet onions! The baklava was SO good it transported me back to my childhood friends house making giant sheets of the ultra-sweet dessert, it was just like I remembered. What an amazing event and a restaurant I cannot wait to take my family to. Highly recommended.

Yummy Mediterranean restaurant tucked away in a not obvious space on the side road of I-70. The staff are all really friendly. The service is fast and the food is delicious, fresh and well seasoned!

Excellent food and service! The Baba ghanoush had great smokey flavor and it's served with warm pita. I tried the grilled shrimp and definitely would order it again. The sauce is flavorful with a bit a spice. It was such a colorful plate! The rice was perfect and I loved the toasted almonds on top. The staff were very friendly and our server offered us a sample of coffee at the end of the meal. It was a nice touch. Next time I am going to order dessert to go! (Tip: you pay at the register)

This was my first time at the restaurant. It has a nice and quaint atmosphere. The seating is pretty close to each other. Our waitstaff was nice and available. He answered all my questions regarding the entrees. I ordered the hummus which had a spicy meat on top, this was served with warm pita bread. The hummus was prepared the way I like, warm and delicious however, the meat on top was not edible at all. I ordered the lamb shish kebabs with rice and a tomato medley. The lamb was tender and pretty good. The rice had no flavor at all. The sauce with the lamb had no flavor either. The charges for the entrees were very expensive. I am glad I tried this place, however, they will need to step it up to compare with other Mediterranean restaurants.

Jafra is rated in the top 10 Mediterranean restaurants in the country. This is definitely a well deserved honor. I was recently invited to a dinner party at Jafra. The restaurant is family owned and run from the host, servers, and chef. The welcome is warm and hospitable. The meal consisted of a variety of outstanding dishes. They serve a delicious falafel. Crispy outside and pillowy soft on the inside. Served with a creamy herb sauce. I especially enjoyed the Turkish salad. This dish is hard to describe but it's fresh with a very nice bit of heat. The hummus and baba ganoj were also very well made. The pita bread warm and crisp. Perfect for dipping and sopping. We tried several different entrees. My favorites were the beef shawarma and the Jafra mixed grill. Both plates had tender juicy proteins. The rice was fluffy and full of flavor. We closed the meal with a balaclava roll. This was a most satisfying end to the meal. *for the die hard STL people who insist good food only exists with in the City Limits, I promise this is totally worth the drive. Again, incredible hospitality and amazing service and food that is delicious and full of flavor make it worthwhile.

What a great dining experience we had at Jafra! The staff treat you like family. They are hospitable and attentive. The food is amazing. It's fresh and the flavors divine. My favorite was the Hummus and the Jafra Mixed Grill. The ambiance is beautiful. We cannot wait to dine here again! 10/10

An assortment of appetizers. All made fresh with quality ingredients. Hummus, Baba Ganouj, Turkish Salad and falafel.

This restaurant is listed as one of Top 5 in The U.S. for Mediterranean cuisine. Service is always wonderful. You are welcomed in as if you are family, seated at a table decorated with lantern and flowers. Come join them for a wonderful meal.

I read other reviews and immediately that I wanted to try their lemonade with mint, which was heavenly. It was extremely refreshing, not too sweet, not too sour, tiny chopped leaves of mint floating around like confetti. I ordered the lamb shank, a plate of pickles, and also ordered falafel and avocado dip to go. The lamb was very well seasoned and fall of the bone tender. The accompanying cucumber bits in yogurt sauce was refreshing. The side of mushrooms with carrots and corn kernels that came with the dish was mediocre, particularly since the consistency and look of the mushrooms looked like they came from a can, but I may be wrong. The plate of pickles was delightful. I will admit that I was very disappointed because I had read that lentil soup would be complementary with main dishes when anyone dined in until 4 PM, but I'd never had any lentil soup at all, unless I am mistaken about the offer. Service was fast, even though there was only one server, who was, by the way, very polite and attentive. All in all, I will be back and I might actually end up being regular here.

Great experience and will be back, highly recommend Layali Halab, give them a try.

Hadn't been there before but had driven past and wondered, glad we went! When my friend saw they had hot mint tea she said this was definitely the right place for lunch. We both ordered some and are happy we did! We decided to order a couple of things and share. We had the falafel and the mixed grill. Since she has a seafood allergy we asked to be sure things would be cooked and served separately and I love that they put the shrimp on a small plate on it's on. The falafel was perfect, the sauces (a chili sauce and something tahini or yogurt based were good with it as was the pita bread. The mixed grill had three skewers - chicken, beef and shrimp. Each had uniquely yummy flavors. It came with rice, some grilled veggies and some pico like tomato salad. Confess the baklava looked great as we were leaving. Appreciated the hospitality of the person waiting on us. We talked a bit and discovered he was from a country my friend had been to previously. I'm surprised they don't charge more because after purchasing I always find myself saying something along the lines of "I can't believe they don't charge more for this deliciousness". I've tried their baklava before I knew it wasn't vegan, and it left such a memorable mark on my tastebuds. I wish there were a vegan option, but that's just me being me. I've had their hummus too, but because it's a consistent grocery purchase of mine I don't get it as much when I come here. The picture attached to this review has falafel from Kaslik. The other food was something I prepared earlier in the day for dinner, and then I realized falafel from Kaslik would go perfectly with it.
