Do not come to this place. They treat their customers differently. I waited in line and went there when it was my turn, but they called the person behind me and served them before me. This is completely unacceptable for a customer service establishment. The young man working at the cashier treated me differently because of my skin color. First off food - GREAT! But if you want to wait over 40m for your coffee while you finished your pastry ages ago. The place has no flow therefore cannot handle the volume presented. I've been in 3 separate times on different shifts and received the same wait if it's crowded or empty. This last time was the final straw I was waiting in line and let a customer ahead of me then wait and watch them take two other people at the register then walk back make eye contact then walk into the back. Once they have a system that can be efficient then the place will be fantastic. Not mention when I asked for a refund for my coffee they couldn't even complete that in under 10minutes. read more

We often get YLS for breakfast when in the area, we usually do order pick up because they are always so busy. They have yummy bagel sandwiches and breakfast burritos. Portions are generous and their scones and donuts are really good too! They also make a decent cup of coffee. They have a small amount of seating inside and outside. Service is usually friendly but I have had a grumpy person helping me before. The restaurant itself is always clean and has cute decor. I will say the only thing I have gotten here that I didn't like is the egg salad sandwich. It had all of the ingredients I love but it was not mixed well so the flavor was off. Love coming here for an iced coffee and a donut. My favorite is the chocolate on chocolate donut. I've tried some of the other pastries, but they haven't stood out as much. On my last visit, my friend ordered the jalapeño cheese croissant. It was supposed to be heated, but the cheese wasn't melted, which was disappointing. Otherwise, it's a great spot when you're craving coffee and something sweet. Just keep in mind that if you visit during the last hour before closing, the pastry selection can be limited and the shop may be a bit messier from the day's traffic, so earlier is usually better. read more

YLS is Yorba Linda's secret spot for all things breakfast deliciousness. We've been coming for years, partaking in their donuts, breakfast burritos and yummy bagels. Since the little guy goes to school near Avalon, we haven't been coming here lately, but when my better half had a birthday wish for a breakfast burrito, it was the first place we thought of. I ordered online and it was VERY easy. I got a breakfast burrito with egg whites, chose ham as my meat and was able to customize (example: less hashbrowns and 1 extra salsa on the side) to my liking. I also ordered a maple old fashioned because why not! I arrived at YLS and was greeted by someone right away. Told her about my order and she had it all ready. Place used to be my go to around 3 years ago, however the quality has changed and the workers aren't the friendliest like they used to be. There were maybe like 8 girls behind the counter but none of them acknowledged me and there wasn't even a line. I just kind of stood there waiting? First timer after seeing some yelp recommendations. I liked the avocado bagel. It came Layered with avocado, tomato, onion, and a hard boiled egg. Garlic salt was sprinkled on top. The addition of the garlic salt was just alright - a little too salty for me, but over all the open faced avocado bagel sandwich tasted good and was very filling. I also order the Dubai chocolate mocha. I really enjoyed this - the coffee flavor is outstanding. The cafe is cute, but there is almost no indoor table seating. I believe this is due to busy times and needing the extra space for customers to wait in line. I came on a random weekday at 1:30. The service was unfortunately, less than welcoming. I was kind of disappointed. The gentleman helping me seemed irritated and when I had a question, seemed bothered that I didn't already know what bagel flavors they had. I recieved both my drink and my bagel in a timely manner. There are a few tables and chairs outside, so I sat out there to eat. While I was eating, the same gentleman came outside and was stacking the tables and chairs to bring inside for closing. I was there at 1:30 and they closed at 2pm. I felt unwelcome and like I was in the way. The food was still very good. If I come back it will only be a carry out order. I would not stay. Also, the ground right outside the store was quite dirty and could use a power wash. 4 stars because the food and coffee is good and maybe they were just having a bad day. read more

Lovely neighborhood bakery with a huge selection of bagels and donuts. They had 4-5 college age servers working the register and prepping food. Overall the bakery is fine and offers a nice selection but my one area of improvement is with the young gentleman who was making the coffee yesterday. Try to be more emphatic to your clients who has a time constraint. Not everyone there is a stay at home mom or hanging out with their kids for the day. My nephew brought us a dozen of these delicious donuts, and it was hard to choose just one! He said that the people at the bakery are wonderful and they explain what each donut contains. There was a maple bacon one, there was a cinnamon twist one, and an apple fritter with fresh apples That was amazing! I used EZ Cater to order since I needed it delivered early in the morning. I ordered for two different days - 1st day was pastries and fruit. The 2nd day was breakfast burritos. The donut I ordered is the dubai chocolate bar donut. This donut is so luxurious looking. There is a silky mirror glaze with edible gold leaf, gold glitter, and pistachios on top. First time trying this bakery. I tried their bacon breakfast burrito and my spouse got the turkey breakfast burrito. The bacon burrito was great, good size, and full of bacon. Got 2 meals out of it because of their huge size. Definitely coming back for that one. Their turkey burrito was okay, I thought it would be turkey breakfast sausage, nope it was TURKEY DELI MEAT!. This was very upsetting but my spouse didn't seem to mind, she did specify that the turkey meat lacked flavor.
