    Hot Pastrami Sandwich
    Michi L.

We have an annual Mother's Day luncheon and this year, we came to Nikki's Kitchen. The service was great. It's typically just an order and sit place but since we had since a big group. The inside is very cute. We called ahead and they reserved us a section outside where they have more tables available. And they also came out and took our orders from us at the table, they just added 18% gratuity. But honestly, they deserved the added tip. The food was good. They are a breakfast and lunch place. I got their tuna melt and it came with a cookie and a slice of orange. My mom ordered their hot pastrami sandwich and we shared the loaded chaos fries. All were very delicious. I also got their honey cinnamon latte with oat milk. It originally was too sweet for me so I went to the counter and asked them to add an extra shot and that I would pay for it. But they said that they would take care of it at no charge and then bring it out to me. (I had to leave a tip cause that just didn't feel right to me) but when it came back it was perfect! My mom order the blueberry pancake latte and it really did taste like blueberry pancake with a hint of coffee. Very good. All feedback about what we ordered was very positive. They also came back periodically to check in on us. Very nice place, good food and good service. Parking was easy with it being in a plaza with their own parking.

Review 66/365 challenge Came for brunch at 9 am with 2 other mama friends on a Wednesday, 1st week of school 08.27.25 It was a packed house. Luckily once we ordered we were able to get a seat right away. What we ordered ~ Cookie Butter Latte was ok, couldn't taste the cookie butter flavoring as much as hopped for. ~ BlueBerry Latte is my fav. They make their syrups in house. Taste a bit of lavender and love it. One of my fav drinks here. ~ Spanish Latte ~ lemon blueberry scone is pretty moist, soft and really delicious served warm, when asked if i wanted it toasted. Spread on the whipped in house butter and it melted in my mouth. So yum! One of the best scones I've tasted! ~ coffee cake ~ chocolate croissant ~ Build your own Avocado Toast is really yum! & recommended, Comes with 4 hefty loafs of bread slices. Definitely a shareable entree. Service & the associates are always so friendly, great here. If you see a table that guest just left, the associates are pretty fast cleaning it right away or you can ask them. They are good at that to welcome the next group of guests. They offer more seating area in the back along in the back outdoor patio. Plenty of parking available but can be jam packed since it's located next to Lampost pizza and a few doors down from Blue-scoop creamery.

Came here for breakfast on a Sunday morning and was pleasantly surprised that tables were available. We ordered the avocado toast, pancake breakfast, an SF white chocolate latte, and a Spanish latte. The food was simple yet amazing--great flavors and well executed. Service was friendly and attentive, and the place has a cozy, welcoming vibe. Overall, a great breakfast spot and highly recommended.

Adorable hole in the wall cafe. Staff were so friendly, beautiful decor with a French country theme. This was a great place to stop in for a girls lunch. They have a large menu with plenty of offerings and a bakery cafe offering sweet treats and specialty coffees. Tons of seating in a back room, you wouldn't even know it was there unless you walked down the hallway. There's also tons of art in the back room, wish I knew about it sooner or I would have enjoyed my lunch back there! Highly recommend stopping in if you are in the area!

Nice atmosphere and was crowded. Front and back seating. They have coffees and teas and freshly squeezed OJ. We had a veggie Omelette; a few kinds of teas, scrambled eggs and oatmeal. The veggie omelette was great and it had avocados on it. The teas were in a small hot pot and they were delicious. The scrambled eggs were basic And the oatmeal was really dry. I had to put some milk, Splenda and other things in it to bring it alive. Next time I will try something different. Overall, a good visit and good food.

    The outside of the restaurant

This was my first time here and it could've been a five star rating. I went with a friend and neither of us had been there. Parking was easy, the outside had a nice curb appeal. We opened the door and it was busy. We waited a short time by what looked like a hostess stand. No signs or directions to sit ourselves, but we eventually did. We sat for about 10 minutes and nobody came even though we saw many servers going around the restaurant. We were meeting a friend there, so didn't mind waiting. When our friend got there he told us we have to go to the counter to order- I wish there had been some notification regarding how they operated here! All that said, it was a nice experience. The food came out fairly quickly, the portions were large and very reasonably priced. Fresh avocado on the breakfast bowl and a generous portion of bacon made up for the rough start. The food was delicious! The service changed a lot after we had our food with people coming by to check on us and offer to bring more tea or coffee. It is a comfortable casual setting. I would definitely recommend this place just be aware of how to order your food. Plus we didn't even try any of the baked goods which looked very tasty.

Was able to get in, order, find a table, and eat in a short time. You order at the counter, take a spoon, and they bring your food to you. The girl who took our order was friendly. But, since when does a basic croissant with egg and cheese cost $13?! It's insane. Will not be coming back here. Nothing wrong, just nothing special and very overpriced. When I spend $13 at other places in YL/Placentia, I get way more for my money.

    Ceremonial Matcha and Chai Tea

Loved the aesthetic of this place! The cherry on top was the sweet and kind service. My friend and I came here for brunch and had a lot of questions about the menu and Paige was so patient with us. The pastrami sandwich was delicious and paired perfectly with the tomato soup and chicken caesar salad. The chai was super comforting and matcha had the perfect amount of sweetness. 100% will be coming here again.

I had the biscuits and gravy and they were very good we came when they first opened and they were a work in progress at that point but now they're really good. I also had a side of bacon. It was perfectly cooked tasty crispy, and reasonably priced my wife had a sandwich which they were able to accommodate even though his breakfast Talk about great service! It's been a long while since you've been in here in the ambience and the decorations set the tone for having breakfast or brunch and a comfortable place with great atmosphere. I'll definitely be coming back.

Great service, lots of seating in the front and back, and great breakfast options. Also, LOTS of flavor options for lattes - very yummy! The breakfast burrito was very average however... I could easily make a better one at home ),:

You order at a kiosk, take a number, and go sit at a table (indoors or out) where your food will be delivered. We initially attempted to order at the counter but were ignored so we did the kiosk routine. I went with a prosciutto panini and a hot vanilla latte. The latte was average but good. The same could be said of the panini which, aside from the prosciutto, included arugula, garlic aioli, tomato, and mozzarella (it usually comes with roasted bell pepper but I asked to leave that ingredient off). The sandwich came with a pedestrian house salad; some greens with four grape tomatoes and a balsamic dressing. There is a huge free parking structure across the street which makes coming here easy. Horrible experience and extremely poor customer service…read more On Father's Day, my husband wanted to try this restaurant for the first time. Unfortunately, it turned into one of the worst dining experiences we've had. We were seated on the patio and waited for 15 minutes without a single employee approaching our table. Not one server, host, or staff member stopped by to acknowledge us, offer water, or even let us know someone would be with us shortly. We actually timed it from the moment we sat down until the moment we left. What made the situation even more frustrating was that we were seated in the middle of the patio in plain sight. We watched multiple servers and staff members standing around the service station, chatting, sipping drinks, and looking around. Meanwhile, guests who were seated after us had their orders taken, received water, and were even served appetizers before anyone acknowledged our existence. For a restaurant charging premium prices, this level of service is completely unacceptable. On Father's Day of all days, when families are trying to enjoy a special meal together, the lack of attention and basic hospitality was astonishing. After 15 minutes, with my husband and son both hungry and frustrated, I walked up to what appeared to be the manager or owner and informed her that we were leaving because no one had come to our table. Her response was that she "wasn't aware." Frankly, that's not an acceptable answer. If you're managing or owning a restaurant, knowing whether your guests are being taken care of is part of the job. I have traveled extensively throughout the United States and internationally, dining at everything from small local establishments to high-end restaurants around the world. Out of the countless places I have visited, this experience easily ranks among my top 20 worst restaurant experiences. Not because the food was bad--we never even had the opportunity to order--but because the complete lack of service and awareness was that shocking. To make matters worse, after leaving, we went to North Italia. Within a few minutes of being seated, a server greeted us, acknowledged the Father's Day rush, offered us bread, and genuinely seemed concerned when we explained what had just happened. That simple act of hospitality immediately changed the tone of our afternoon. That is how a restaurant should be operated. That is what good management, training, and customer service look like. You make guests feel welcome, valued, and taken care of--even on one of the busiest dining days of the year. This restaurant, unfortunately, did the exact opposite. We left disappointed, hungry, and genuinely stunned by how poorly the situation was handled. Will we return? Absolutely not. There are far too many restaurants that appreciate their customers and understand the basics of hospitality for us to ever give this place another chance.

Strawberry Drop: I would rate it a 7/10. Gemblet: My friend didn't provide a review, so I'll let you try it and decide for yourself! Overall, Reunion is a great spot for good food, shareable portions, drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere where you can actually enjoy a conversation. Definitely worth checking out!

Our server was very attentive. We could not ask for better service. I had the ribs. They were moist, tender and very flavorful. I will be coming back.

It's kind of like a skillet, except you have full control of how much of each items goes into it. Normally I don't like a ton of gravy in this ritual, but something about the gravy and sausage at Paul's Country Kitchen made this Grand Finale especially delicious. I mean--the Char's Country Plate was good in itself. I've had something similar at the nearby Mr. D's with its two sausage patties on a biscuit covered in gravy along with eggs and hash browns. I think the version at Paul's was a bit better. Every bite was a delight. But I think the best bites were reserved when I got that bit a sausage and gravy into the mix with the hash browns and perfectly cooked eggs. Grand Finales are usually a joy, but this one was especially joyous. Also, noticeable was the great service here. I found the servers personable and discerning. They managed to give out good recommendations, answer any questions about the offerings, and still hold good conversation. That's rare at any food joint you go to. Not only that, they held down the fort when it came to refills, getting my order out quickly, and dropping the bill off when it came time. The personal touch here is impeccable. Lastly, the ambience is great here. The space is kind of limited, but they had plenty of booths and tables, 2-tops and 4-tops, and counter space. Everything was decorated brightly without seeming gaudy, and it gave off a welcoming feeling that is traditional with all local diners. I wouldn't mind eating in a place like this regularly. In conclusion, I think I found a new place to have breakfast. Not only that, I think I found a new place to recommend to others when I want to point out what makes a good diner/coffee shop.
