She was very thorough during the consultation to make sure I understand what she is about to do and that I also get what I came in for. My original hair was highlighted (super bleached/ashy) and had a bad layered cut (turns out I had a mullet I wasn't aware of lol). I wanted to return to my natural color and also get a cut to even out my layers. Within two hours, Hanh achieved the color and cut seamlessly through proper and detailed steps to repair my damaged hair. My experience with her was fantastic. She is so bubbly and fun to talk to and she is an expert in her field. I have never learned so much about hair ever in my life! Even for styling, she gave so many tips. The scheduling process was easy as I booked an appointment with her via text. When I arrived Helen cleaned my hair and then got straight to giving me layers. During the service, Helen and I had great conversations as she is personable and hilarious. She has a great vibe that allows you to be comfortable right away. She definitely builds rapport with her clients very easily. After she was finished with my two block, we went straight to the chemical perm. The results came out great and she did phenomenal making it look natural. I went back to her a few more times before I ended up moving out of the IE. My canvas was not lifted, it was still extremely red when the brown was deposited. I asked for the color to be removed properly. This is not minor irritation you can clearly see sores that were leaking pus. A matted scalp from dried up pus is not the result of "minor irritation". Chemical burns can be caused even without bleach (which I also don't know why bleach wasn't used). Burns can literally be caused by a chemical being left on too long or too strong of a developer. I have been looking into this thoroughly. Anyone can easily see pictures of chemical burns from improper technique look exactly like mine. Owning up to your mistakes goes a long way. It's so inappropriate that after all of this she is still defensive about her mistake. I also think it's really interesting that after this review all of a sudden she has multiple five star reviews. My pictures speak for themselves. I disputed the charge because spending top dollar on a service that caused injury (that can be susceptible to infection) is unacceptable.
