I'm being generous with two stars here. Pros: Food and beverage were decent. Bagel with lox and cream cheese and a small coffee cost $16.00, pricey for even New York City (and this is in the Hudson Valley region). Cons: The bathroom had no toilet paper and no soap plus a large dead roach greeted me with its legs facing Heaven under the sink. The seats in the dining area were also dirty. The worst: What I found especially irksome is the young male employee wiping tables asked his female counterpart at the cash register, "How old are you?" She didn't respond. He then persisted, "How old are you? Your age?" She responded, "Twenty-three." He answered loudly, "You're OLD! Oh my God, you're so old!" After she smiled and walked away he added out loud, "And fat." That's incredibly rude and unprofessional. You don't treat people, especially colleagues, in such a disrespectful manner. This Yoffee Coffee on Chestnut Rd in spring valley 10 minutes from this location. No wonder it's not on yelp... I wanted something to eat but as soon as I saw the person preparing the food with their phone on the same surface as the food was being prepared on I knew at this point to stay away from that bacteria infested fesses death trap but don't worry their hands were clean, protected by contaminated gloves The owners are to blame, as usual from ignorance and greed. First, they were not adhering to sanitation standards amid the pandemic. Many customers came in without masks and the employees were not enforcing the clear signs posted outside requiring masks. I had an iced coffee , tuna deluxe , and a sweet crepe . Coffeee was amazing loved it. Sandwich was good a bit over priced. And crepe was disappointing. Looked delicious but the flavor was a no for me. it was thick and over cooked no flavor would not hurt to use some vanilla extract and sugar and going easy on the batter, usually crepes and thin but really recommend the iced coffee. read more

Great location to meet for a quick bite or a quick latte. The space is very clean open and inviting, the counter staff is a bit young, timid and somewhat clueless...or maybe they just need better training. The first time I went, ordered a simple macchiato and grilled muenster cheese sandwich. Piping hot Ooy gooey goodness that was very satisfying. The specialty coffees here are as equally inventive as well as delicious. Another time we came, we tried ordering a waffle and ice cream but it ended up taking close to 25 min. If the staff had told is there were some issue then we would have ordered something. Long story short after all that we got a refund and a scoop of ice cream to make up for the mixup. The seating area upstairs is really nice and maintained nicely so it's always clean for the next round of eat in customers. Will definitely be back when I'm in the area. read more

The menu is wide, varied and right to the point whether it's breakfast, brunch or an early dinner. Appetizers & Dishes include: Eggplant Parmesan, Baker Ziti, Salmon, Crazy Good / Paninis, Pizza, Soups, Salads, Sandwiches & Crepes. The food is fresh and delicious. We stopped by last week to satiate our sweet teeth. We all seemed to be craving ice cream and sugary drinks after our pizza. The decor is absolutely lovely. The modern futuristic vibe definitely does it for me. And the minimalistic look just makes you feel like you're posh for a moment there. We ordered a razzle, some sort of peanut butter milkshake and dream cup milkshake. The milkshakes were probably a little too sweet so a few sips in we were done with it. The razzle though, that was great. The toppings were fresh and crunchy. I don't like that they only offer 3 toppings in the already marked up price so we ended up paying for a simple razzle over $10. We were there at night so all we wanted were drinks but they do have a variety of pastries, sandwiches, paninis, omelets etc. Everything is on the pricier side but could be worth it. Ever since Starbucks became the dictionary definition of "coffee house" many small coffee shops have been trying to copy their formula. Unfortunately for them, all they see is the coffee, they don't see the experience behind it, and as every coffee aficionado knows: half the coffee is the aroma. This doubly true when it comes to kosher coffee shops. Most places just put a focus on what they sell, rather than how they sell it. Usually ending up being a slightly more expensive dunkin donuts. This brings me to Yoffee. Yoffee nails the Starbucks experience not just because they have excellent coffee and shakes, but because they provide an experience as well. The store is a work of art. The tables are a clean white with glass chairs, there's relaxing music playing in the background, an upstairs for more private eating and menu that's earily similar to Starbucks' style. The place is by no means perfect, there's no real kitchen, so the bottom floor can get a bit noisy and the sandwiches were alright. But the fact that a kosher restaurant can recreate the old time coffee shop that Starbucks has tried to recreate bodes well for the kosher food market. read more

I was so pleased to see there is somewhere worthwhile to go in Monsey. The place is beautifully set up! The service is efficient. And the food was really good. I came in at 9:45 PM, although they closed at 10:00 PM. I was immediately surprised, because the outside was modest, while the interior was glamorous, and modern. I had a Portabello Mushroom Panini, and Butternut Squash Soup Combo (both delicious), and asked for the lunch price, since I was a 1st time customer. They agreed. The team members were efficient, friendly, and plated my food beautifully on a square plate, and decorative soup bowl. I sat down at the clean front dining area, but quickly got up to tour the upper level, and bathroom (to wash up before eating) - all was noticeable clean, and fresh. The establishment is Jewish friendly (most diners were Jewish), because of the visible hand washing station, and mention of Kosher products, although there was no "Certified Orthodox" or "Certified by Rabbi" letter visible. The menu has meat and vegetarian items, and a wide variety of meal types. They have frozen yogurt, coffee drinks, smoothies, salads, and bakery items, all of which looked pleasing and fresh. signed up for Yelp to write this review. for those who don't want to read a long complaint, the bottom line is that the food was pretty good but the service was abysmal. My wife wanted a whole wheat caprese crepe - tomato mozzarella pesto and basil. They did not have whole wheat crepes and they refused to put those ingredients on their panini bread. I offered to pay extra but it was too much for them to do. So I ordered a different one of their paninis and somehow convinced them to put a little pesto on it. I then ordered a Peppermint Mocha latte for my wife and a grilled cheese sandwich for myself. I paid for everything and even gave a tip despite the pretty cold and unfriendly attitude I was receiving. I looked at my bill and noticed that I was charged 10.95 for the panini and 5.95 for the hot drink, when the combo menu I scoped out as i walked into the store said 12.99 for any panini and a hot drink. So I went over to the girl who served me and mentioned that I was charged incorrectly, she says "yes, you are right you should be paying less than I charged you but you need to tell me that you want the combo before you pay other wise you are not eligible to receive it." Now mind you this was about ten seconds after I paid. so I said " I understand it might be annoying to give me cash from the drawer once you already entered the transaction, so, how about you give me a small amount of ice cream to make up for the 2 or 3 dollar difference?" She said she had to ask the Mexican guy working there for permission. He said No you do not get the combo price, and confirmed that if one doesn't specify before paying that they want the rate that is advertised clearly in the store, then they will not honor that price. At that moment a third employee walked in confirming this as well. At that point I was incredulous and asked just to make sure this was really happening "So you are telling me that I need to tell you what the current sales and promotions you are running are otherwise you will not honor them?" He said yes. This was my first and last time in this establishment. I have never encountered such horrible customer service before.
