    a sign for yoffee coffee

First, they were not adhering to sanitation standards amid the pandemic. Many customers came in without masks and the employees were not enforcing the clear signs posted outside requiring masks. Some employees themselves did not have the mask on properly. Also, I ordered a cafe mocha and there was not a lot of mocha taste.

While my coffee is good (Ying Yang Latte) the customers were not required to wear masks and aside from myself and boyfriend no other customers were wearing masks.

    Very post modern chic atmosphere

Ever since Starbucks became the dictionary definition of "coffee house" many small coffee shops have been trying to copy their formula. Unfortunately for them, all they see is the coffee, they don't see the experience behind it, and as every coffee aficionado knows: half the coffee is the aroma. This doubly true when it comes to kosher coffee shops. Most places just put a focus on what they sell, rather than how they sell it. Usually ending up being a slightly more expensive dunkin donuts. This brings me to Yoffee. Yoffee nails the Starbucks experience not just because they have excellent coffee and shakes, but because they provide an experience as well. The store is a work of art. The tables are a clean white with glass chairs, there's relaxing music playing in the background, an upstairs for more private eating and menu that's earily similar to Starbucks' style. The place is by no means perfect, there's no real kitchen, so the bottom floor can get a bit noisy and the sandwiches were alright. But the fact that a kosher restaurant can recreate the old time coffee shop that Starbucks has tried to recreate bodes well for the kosher food market.

Way way too expensive for "dreck." Cold food, over salted soups, drowned nachos . And worse, rude, inconsiderate staff!

The combination of ube and matcha is unbelievably creamy, smooth, and rich without being overly sweet. The ube has that perfect nutty vanilla-like flavor with a deep, authentic taste, while the matcha is earthy, bold, and balanced beautifully. Swirling the two together makes every bite even better. What really stands out is the texture it was light, fluffy, and silky soft serve that melts perfectly. The flavors taste fresh and premium, not artificial at all. The presentation is also gorgeous, making it almost too pretty to eat. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staffs make the experience even better. They also serve bubble milk teas, Dubai chocolate cup and more!! They even have a pretty mirror to take picture with

Robin's Creamery was a bit of a letdown this time around…read more When we walked in, there was only one person working and we waited at least 10 minutes while he prepared just a few drinks. Not really sure why it took that long, but it was definitely frustrating just standing there. We eventually ordered four cones (ube and matcha)...and giving credit where it's due, the ice cream itself is still very good. It's creamy, flavorful, and consistent with what we had on a previous visit. That said, the portions felt off this time. The cones didn't seem as full, and what really stood out was that each one had a noticeable hollow center -- almost like the middle was missing. Sign. For $9 a cone, that just shouldn't happen. Last time I was here, it felt like a 5-star spot. This visit? Not there at all. Still good ice cream, but between the wait and the portion issues, it didn't live up to the price.

Chestnut Ridge, NY - Threefold Cafe continues to be one of my favorite places to eat in Rockland!…read moreSee my previous review for why I love them. I'm updating this review mostly to add more photos, but have been enjoying hanging out here for a coffee & pastry while catching up on emails or just taking in the peaceful surroundings, meeting friends for lunch, and most recently returned for one of their lively Friday night dinners with music on the outdoor patio (indoors if the weather is uncooperative). They are now open for dinner 5 nights a week in the summer! The menu is seasonal and changes often, with daily specials and some staples. The food is hearty and wholesome, and I love their salads. Relaxed atmosphere, family friendly, BYOB.

The quiche for example tasted like something i would make, though not sure if that's a good thing or not (ha). The chicken shawarma ($14) was pretty good though the pita could have been softer; it had eggplant, onions and mushroom as well. Quite enjoyed the strawberry cupcake - light and airy. They have glasses of tap water in the fridge which you can help yourself to and you bus your own tables by putting your silverware and plates in a pan. They have a very small parking lot that says 20 minute parking. We parked at the school next to it so hopefully that was ok. Not sure where all the customers were parking as the official lot was full.
