I love the atmosphere of this studio! The front desk is always so welcoming. I learned about this studio from word of mouth, they have a really nice deal ($40 for 40 days) where you can get a sneak peek of all the classes they have to offer. I typically go for their PodFLOW All Levels class but I have taken their hot/heated and podSCULPT class and it's such a great workout! Not only do they offer a variety of classes, but they also have many different instructors making every class feel unique in its own way. They recently had a Valentine's Day Workshop that my partner and I really enjoyed! Whether you're an experienced yogi or just getting your foot in the door, I 100% recommend this studio! read more

I really like yogapod! I've only been for barre, but it's a great class (been several times now), I love the studio (lots of natural light), and the instructors and staff that I've interacted with are super nice. I moved to Austin not too long ago, and it's always hard to find a new fitness "community," where the classes are the right amount of challenge, and where you just feel comfortable. It's unfortunate. I had to leave a review here. I put a review on ClassPass and for some reason it did not hold so I am sharing my experience on this platform. I'm sure I am not The only person who was treated this way but maybe I'll be the first person to share it. First off, there were several classes and instructors who were very good, unfortunately there was always some thing that made me a bit uneasy about this place. I had a few situations at the front desk, which provided a very low level of customer service, and slightly mean-girl type of vibe and not just from one person. This is the complete antithesis of what a yoga provider should be. It only happened a few times, so I kind of let it go until having to reschedule a class. I believe the girl's name is Jennifer or Michelle, she was not very accommodating with a very simple request. I never believe that the customer is 100% right all the time but in this case it wasn't a very hard request and to top it off she was rude about it too. She stated I was wrong and nothing could be done to resolve the situation, when that was not the case at all ( I also confirmed later with another gym) If you ever feel uneasy about attending this place or you are not being treated with a decent level of respect or even general kindness, don't question yourself, you are right. The classes themselves were good, and the gym is kept very clean so I have to add. It's a problem though when you're coming to a place that is supposed to make you feel calm and positive; these are not the things that provide a peaceful feeling. I did find another awesome place on Anderson for hot yoga, and they are very kind and definitely have the positive vibe that is real yoga. It is always important to be kind to everyone if you speak about being warm and inclusive, then that should be the message every day! read more

A cute little yoga studio that also offers pilates and barre classes if you're in the mood to switch things up. I was visiting from out of town and really wanted to get a practice in so came by to check out their podflow2 on a Sunday at 5:45. Had Katie as an instructor and she was great! She led us through an hour of postures that really helped me to get a good sweat going as well as help me get a nice stretch going to soothe my muscles that had been cramped up after a 3.5 hour plane ride. The class was finished up with a wonderful cool lavender/lemon towel cloth that felt absolutely delicious after an hour of heated yoga. Overall, would definitely come back to Yoga Pod next time I'm in town. read more

I'm a part of ClassPass, so I get to try lots of yoga studios around town. Today, I got the chance to try a yin yoga class with Juliann here at Yoga Pod, and it was phenomenal. The space is very clean, and I loved the way it was decorated. There was an area to shop, an area to hang out and have coffee, three yoga studios, and a very nice locker room. Juliann was kind enough to give me a tour of the whole place. As for the class itself, it was phenomenal. Juliann had us each draw a card at the beginning of class that was "our message from the universe" for that day. I loved my card (I posted a pic here). She also gave gentle hands-on assists to help us move deeper into the poses. Lovely, just lovely. Also, the props were some of the nicest and best quality I've encountered at a yoga studio. Kudos. The selection of classes is great for everybody. I love the sweaty hot yoga, but also all of the other classes they offer. The barre and sculpt are great workouts. There are also great chill and recovery classes. Every single teacher is really great and motivational. The studio is clean and inviting. The location is great with plenty of parking. I have been practicing yoga for almost 3 years but I never found a studio I liked enough to keep going back to. Until a friend brought me here as her guest and I was very intrigued to try out other classes. I was very impressed upon my initial impression with the friendliness of the yoga teachers, the cleanliness of the studio, and the array of beauty products available in the ladies room. I also appreciate the availability of props for classes! The vibe here is very open, nonjudgmental, and the teachers offer options to modify so everyone can get something out of it, which I love! It makes taking classes far less intimidating for beginners and available for ALL bodies to participate! If you need to take a breather from a challenging pose or flow, they encourage you to do what feels best for your body. There is no pressure to keep up or judgement. Being in a group of yogis at different levels of their practice but showing up to continue being present giving it your best feels amazing! Some of the classes I have tried so far are: Yin, Sound Healing, VinYin, PodFlow (All Levels), PodFLow1, Restorative & PodBasics. I have enjoyed all classes and learned some new things! I have even brought a couple guests with me to try it out who were interested, since their first time is free of charge. I've been taking classes here almost everyday since I first showed up and I don't see any reason why I would stop. I love the variety of classes offered, which are great for beginners, intermediate, to the hot yoga fans. I tried Yogapod for the first time tonight, and I had a really great experience there. The facility is very nicely decorated and inviting, and the front desk staff were welcoming. I took podBarre Express with Alli H, and she made the class so fun while still giving great pointers and cues for positioning. She also made everyone in the class feel really included. The 45 minutes flew by, and when I left, I felt that really satisfying feeling that you get when you know you've had a great workout and will maybe be a little sore the next day :) I can't wait to take her class again! read more

I have been practicing Yoga for 3.5 months. I started at a facility that closed only a few weeks after I started practicing. I was anxious to find a new place to practice. I feel that Yoga Studios are a community and I was very nervous about restarting Yoga somewhere new. Although I am quite shy, I buckled down and tried 5 different Austin studios. I did 4-5 classes at each one so that I felt that I had given each one of them a legitimate try. My final stop was Yoga Pod, and Yoga Pod is now my new Yoga HOME! I was looking for a clean studio, with a variety of class offerings, heated and non-heated classes, well educated instructors, a warm and friendly vibe, specialty workshops/events and a very diverse clientele. Not asking much, lol, but, Yoga Pod scored an A++ in my book in all of these areas! As a beginner, I have never felt judgment or intimidation from any of the staff OR clientele. I also feel that safety is always their top priority, while the instructors still challenge the students to reach their maximum potential. I personally love the PodFLOW 2 Classes, PodFIT, Rocket Yoga and yes, EVEN BARRE (I guess I am an official Barre Bro). I believe Yoga Pod is a perfect place for the beginner or seasoned Yogi, and also the perfect place to get/stay in shape! I guess you can already tell, but, I highly recommend this place! read more

I had my first visit to Yoga Pod Austin yesterday. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcome. People were smiling, talking - you could immediately tell this was a community, not just a "duck in, duck out" workout spot. Jennifer, the owner, was upbeat and courteous, taking the time to show me around the space, which is beautifully decorated, sparkling clean, and vibrant. I was shocked to see full showers and amenities at a yoga studio, as that is often not the case, and the three studio rooms enable Yoga Pod to offer an astonishing number and variety of weekly classes. I took the Pod Flow 2 class with Eugenio. What a treat! Eugenio offered a creative flow which was challenging without sacrificing playfulness. His warm voice, ability to laugh with us and read the room, and his wonderful hands-on adjustments had me feeling connected and lighthearted. He even took the time to check in with me to ask about how an injury was feeling, which I always appreciate, and then again after class. Definitely looking forward to coming back, and thank you all for making me feel so at ease! read more

Yoga Pod Austin is amazing. It's immaculately clean and the staff is so friendly! They have a wide variety of classes that aren't offered anywhere else. I'm new to the studio after being a devout YogaYoga yogi for years before they closed. While Yoga Pod is a vastly different vibe than YogaYoga, it is extremely positive and offers a wonderful opportunity to get exercise and get centered. Jordan is an incredible Barre teacher! I took her 45-minute express class and can't recommend it highly enough. Her energy is warm and encouraging and her music choices are perfect for the intense workout. I also love Sonny. His candlelight flow is intense but really inspiring. He encourages not only physical strength but emotional as well. His class has non-traditional yogi music and focuses more on an up-beat motivational vibe, which I love. Highly recommend this studio. I loved the yin class! I did NOT love the drop-in rate of $22 for a 60-minute class. A place with a parking lot that big should not have a rate that high. I don't know if this makes me an honorary Millennial, but I tend to "sleep around" with my exercise class experiences and run the other way at the slightest suggestion of a per-month commitment. Yoga Pod gets a hearty THUMBS UP - for many reasons, including great customer service and engagement (its like visiting and hanging out with good friends), and a varied and diverse schedule. The teaching is sound (in my observation, having taught in my 30s and 40s), and enriched by a cross-pollination (sometimes a fusions) of complementary styles. There are some small modifications of classical styles that make it approachable to a wider range of abilities and skill levels, while also allowing for more challenging approaches by others, within the same class. The instructors challenge and encourage students ("friends" as we are often called), helping us to stay within our practice, not comparing with others' practice, and be loving and gentle as we push ourselves. read more

I'll start by saying I'm a beginner to yoga and also only just starting to make a conscious effort to pay attention to fitness. This place is AMAZING. From the moment you walk in the door you feel like family. I've only been three times so far, but people call you by your name, pay attention to your needs and goals, and do not treat you with an ounce of judgement. The studios are bright and clean and simply walking in makes you feel as though you're positively investing in yourself. They offer a variety of classes, so beginners like me don't feel lost, and also mix in fitness and barre classes. The studio makes workshops available - which I'm looking forward to - to spend concentrated time on specific areas or learning the basics. The schedule offers enough flexibility in timing that it's relatively easy to find at least a few classes/week to fit even a very busy family and work schedule. The instructors I've experienced thus far - Kristi and Kim - are wonderful at guiding and providing instruction that actually makes sense and creates results you can truly feel in your body. Tatum, at the front desk, makes my day better every time I see her. The entire crew creates an environment of peaceful positive energy. I want to be just like them!
