Stayed at Jellystone Park Camp Resort in Gardiner, NY from 7/21 to 7/28. This was our second visit in two years. Overall, our stay was just okay. The cabin we stayed in could have been much cleaner and better maintained. The stove was not cleaned thoroughly the floor had some debris. Some of the roads throughout the campground are in rough shape and could use repaving, many of the golf carts could use some upkeep and cleaned out properly. What really frustrated me happened on our second day. We brought our own chairs to the pool area and were immediately told by a lifeguard that outside chairs weren't allowed on the pool deck. However, there were other guests with their own chairs who weren't approached, and there was no posted signage stating this rule anywhere. If it's a policy, it should be clearly posted and enforced consistently. Also, the fishing pond suddenly developed a terrible odor overnight that it made it difficult to sleep as my cabin was close to the fishing pond. The staff experience was mixed. Some staff members were extremely helpful and friendly, while others seemed completely uninterested in their jobs. The Tiki Bar was by far the biggest disappointment. It was dirty, with flies everywhere including dead flies on eating surfaces that looked like they've been there for some time. That level of cleanliness is unacceptable. The campground has a lot of potential, but it needs stronger leadership and better attention to maintenance and cleanliness in some areas. The pools, lazy river and splashpad areas were clean well maintained and do a good job of keeping kids and adults entertained for hours. Overall, it's a fun destination for kids, but there are several areas that need improvements, and perhaps adding more activities geared towards teens and adults such a paintball, bigger arcade, social evening events, rock climbing wall, treasure hunts. These options keep older teens and campers active and engaged throughout their stay. read more

This place is a slum, and unfortunately, my problems started from the moment I arrived. I arrived at 2:04 PM to check in. I went inside and was greeted by Christina at the front desk. She asked if she could help me, and I explained that I was there to check in. She entered some information into her computer and told me that check-in wasn't until 3:00 PM. I completely understand campground rules and have no problem following them. I simply asked if, since it was only around 2:15 PM, I could pull off to the side and wait until 3:00. I was driving a 40-foot RV with a car attached, so I explained that it would be extremely difficult to turn around and leave. Her response was that I had to leave the property. I explained again that I had a large RV and a vehicle attached, but she continued to insist that I leave immediately. There was absolutely no reason to speak to a paying customer that way. A little courtesy and common sense would have gone a long way. Christina shouldn't be working with families on vacation she has a nasty attitude and appears miserable at her job, maybe she should be responsible for cleaning the toilets throughout the park. I ended up having to disconnect my car, park it, turn the RV around, and wait at the end of the driveway until 3:00 PM. Once I finally got to my site, I set everything up and later left to pick up my grandchildren. When I returned a few hours later, my RV had no power. I spent about an hour trying to figure out what was wrong before checking the incoming power. Sure enough, the 50-amp service at the site was not working. I called maintenance, and Mike came out and found the problem. He had to replace two outlets and a breaker before the power was finally restored. I appreciate Mike coming out and fixing the problem, but this should have been working when we arrived. The next day, we went to the water park. It is very small, and there was practically nowhere to sit or leave your belongings. We ended up having to sit on the floor. Then things got even worse. After it rained, the sink and toilet water in our RV turned BROWN. I went outside, disconnected the water hose, and discovered that the campground's water supply itself was brown. This happened again later in the week. Having brown water coming from the campground water system is completely unacceptable. The kids' areas were also disappointing. We went to the bouncing balloon area, and there was garbage scattered all over the place. We later went to the Gaga ball area, and there was garbage there as well. I assumed someone would eventually come around and clean it up, but the trash remained there that evening and for several days afterward. What made it even more frustrating was seeing employees sitting around while these areas remained dirty. Then there are the activities. Some activities are restricted to VIP members, meaning that even though you pay to stay at the campground and use the park, your children cannot participate in everything unless you pay for an additional VIP membership. That is extremely disappointing, especially for families who have already spent a significant amount of money for their vacation. I have stayed at other Jellystone Parks in the past, and this experience was nothing like those. Unfortunately, this location was a huge disappointment from beginning to end. Between the rude treatment at check-in, electrical problems, brown campground water, garbage throughout the children's activity areas, limited seating at the water park, and activities being restricted to VIP members, I cannot recommend this campground. They will not be getting my business again. If you're considering staying here, I strongly recommend doing your research before spending your hard-earned money on this place. read more

I had higher expectations before coming here. If you're not in the Jellyheads FB group I'd advise you to join as you'll get lots of insight on this Jellystone as well as the other locations. Of course, if you're visiting Yogi and friends, you're coming for the kids (and the water park). They have events you can sign up for, but don't count on them actually running. For example - the first night there was the silent disco. This is where you get headphones and get to rock out to your own music and just dance around. Good for kids and easy on the parents/anyone with sensory issues where it might be very loud. Except it didn't work - the headphones, the music, none of it. The young teens working there looked bored out of their skulls. Did nothing to entertain the kids waiting. After about 10 minutes of futzing around with the equipment, they were like eh "so and so said we didn't have to do the disco". Kind of annoying. On a rainy day, our laser tag got cancelled. Also kind of annoying, but you can't control the rain since this is an outdoor event. Wish they had some kind of indoor space in general for this in the event of rain. The inflatable pillow jumping pads were not inflated any of the times we visited the playground area. On the aforementioned rainy day, we took a stroll to the crafts area and figured, well maybe we can each get the kids something to paint. Except we were told that they don't do that, you have to pay them come back at the specified craft nights. What??? There's two people working here. And there is tons of stuff. But we can't buy something and just paint or assemble any of the crafts now? Make it make sense. Also, don't count on actually meeting Yogi Bear if you pay for the special Yogi Bear breakfast because we did pay for this add on, and neither he nor Boo Boo ever came to the outside pavilion where the event was. The attraction here is really the pool and splash parks which were a lot of fun for the kids. It opens at 10, which is kind of late. If you have kids, they're probably up early and chomping at the bit to come here. There are few other things to do before hand, other than mini golf or the play ground. The mini golf was cute and it's nice you can just play at your leisure and the equipment is always out. Other nice thing was the AC in the cabin worked very well. When we stayed it was mid-upper 90s and very humid. But you might want to wear shoes/sandals because the floor left the bottom of our socks quite dirty when we had them on and not crocs/sandals. The loft area in the cabin was a hit with the kids as well. All in all, our experience here was mixed. Would we come back? Eh. Maybe. The kids had fun and at the end of the day I'm grateful for that. But I'd like to explore other places before returning most likely. read more

I thought my mom and dog got lost, since we are not from here. She was not answering her phone and I never saw or heard her come back inside, so I went to the neighbors asking for help, I was nervous but I felt as if I had no choice, after the neighbors helped and drove me around the whole campground, we didn't find her, but lots of workers crowded to help look, some people even went in the bushes behind where her location was saying she was. Thank goodness it was all a misunderstanding and she was inside her room the whole time, but because when I looked the first time I didn't walk all the way inside the room and usually my dog would lay on the end but I didn't see her so I thought they were gone. read more

Went glamping on June 2022 and we loved the Ridge View Bungalows that we booked. Being with smaller kids and frenchies, the AC and own bathroom just makes it so easy and comfortable. Anyway, this Park is Huge! We regretted just booking for 2 nights. Wasnt really enough and plus it got so cold all of a sudden we couldnt stay long outside to even enjoy the firepit. Oh well. Anyway the cabins although a little close to each othere were beautiful and sooo clean when we arrived. Utensils, dish washing soap, hand towels etc were already available we just needed to bring beddings. The park offers a lot of activities (they give a list), some that should be booked ahead, but since we ran out of time we didnt really join any and just toured the place. Its huge! So next time we will definitely just rent a golf cart to save time and get around quick. Oh and the fishing spot is beautiful! Lots of kids and adults alike go there especially early mornings. Staff we've encountered we're great and helpful. Checking in and checking out was no hassle. Not to far from home. Would give this place another shot to get a "fuller" experience - so far so good. read more

Family oriented campground not far from NY city. This is the second time we've stayed here, and the price per night is quite high. Weekend in July the full hookup back in site was $150/night. The main reason to consider such a high price is that the splash pad, pool, and lazy river are what make this campground unique. The family oriented schedule of activities paired with the multiple play areas for all different ages ensure there's something for everyone. So why the 3 stars? When we visited, Friday one of the pools was as green as the grass, and rightfully closed. The next day, it was less green, open, and the lazy river was also green. For the amount of money you spend to stay here, the least the campground could do is ensure the chemicals are right and the water is clean. One of the staff members candidly told me one of the pool filters failed and that they ran out of chlorine ! I don't like to post negative reviews, I generally like to keep things positive, so I'll end with this: other then the pool situation, and the price (which is more then it is to camp at Disney) the campground was very well maintained. The sites were well spaced out, clean, and in a close proximity to the other amenities. Plenty of fun activities and even a spot to grab a bite to eat, drink or enjoy an ice-cream. read more

First time stay. Got a premium riverside cabin for 3 nights, about $500 a night. Sleep six: queen bed, bunk bed and pull out futon. Got golf cart about $100 a night. Golf cart is a must despite its expense. It was fun and saved us a lot of walking. It wasn't cheap but overall we had fun. Pro: - first thing is customer service. Every staff we met was wonderful and helpful. We have to call maintenance a couple occasions and they arrived within 10 min with smiles. - Arcade is small but only $1 per play arcade. Use quarters. Changing machine on site. -No outside wood for campfire allowed. They sell here for about $10 a bundle. They can even deliver to your site for free if you don't have a vehicle. - Ranger station sells all kind of camping needs, including household items like tubberware, plastic wrap etc. also grocery like bacon, butter, eggs and milk etc. of course expect to pay a little more. - Cabin is nice, clean and well maintained. Air conditioning works well. Only living room has a unit so we have to leave the room door opened. We brought our own linens and pillows to avoid linen rental $8 per bed per day. - kitchen has detergent, sponge, grey wool scrub pad, pots and pans, colander. Glasses and mugs, plates and bowls, pots and pans, silverware, dish drying rack, one ice tray, coffee maker with filters and a two slice toaster oven and microwave. Some other kind of cabins have oven but mine kind doesn't. Con: We bought the ultimate fun pass for about $100. It is for one person but the kids can share. Every activity will be stamped when used. Unlimited free refill with souvenir cup. Little disappointed about the cup since it doesn't have yogi logo. Also, you have to look at the daily event schedule before buying ultimate fun pass. If some activities are not scheduled during your stay, you don't get refund. We missed two activities like glittery tatoo and candy bingo. - Wagon ride with yogi cancelled due to rain. It was the only time scheduled during our 4 days stay. - Pictures with the 3 bears ended early due to rain. Event was 5:15-5:45 pm, but when we arrived at 5:40, they were gone already. - Arcade is not attended. There's a sign said play at your own risk. No refund. One machine did eat my money. - Tiki bar service is slow. Everything sold at tiki, including alcoholic drinks, fries, burgers, chicken tenders, pizza, drinks etc. Only 2 staff at front on sat afternoon. Only 1 on Sunday 6 pm. This is the only eatery place besides the ice cream place. $6-8 kids meal with fries, $3.50 soda, $15 medium pizza etc. icecream sundae $7.50, popcorn $8 a bucket with $3 refill. - on a Sunday afternoon, they went out of kids burger. Out of ice coffee. On Monday, they went out both kids burger and chicken tenders. - there was a fight on Saturday at the pool. Police was called. It was under control quickly. -Shower curtain barely covering the ledge of the walkin shower. As a result, water spilled on floor everytime. - out cabin has a blocked view of river by trees. Cabin # 5 will have a great view of river. But to lock in a particular cabin, you have to pay extra. I didn't so I was given random cabin within my category. Activities: - tie dye tshirt: you can bring your own and do for free. If not, $16 a shirt with yogi pattern on it. - ceramic: it's about $10 a person. You choose from over 20 styles of ceramic and paint it. - wagon ride with yogi: cancelled due to rain - there are free arts daily. - arcade, jumping pillow, playgrounds - laser tag: Not on fun pass $14 a person. Book for the latest 8 pm since it's the darkest. They have an outdoor laser area behind the doggie park. 8 min a game for 4 games. It was a lot of fun. Close toed shoes only. - free fishing pond. - $0.50 fish fish sold in laundry room - $25 fee if you want to stay after check out. Cabin check on is 4 pm. Check out is 11 am. Tent and RV check out 1 pm. - pizza party. Need to sign up and pay ahead of time that day. $30 a pie with free frisbee and soda. They don't sell slices. We have fun pass and that include one slice only. Yogi showed up to take cultures. Tips: Water gun and floaties allowed. Remote control cars. River access two locations. You can walk into river but no swim. Ppl said it's about 4 ft. - Reserve golf cart when making reservations. They run out. - Bring can opener ( Not provided). and stove lighter gun. My stove needs lighter and also helps to start campfire. - Buy fire starter pods about $1.50 at ranger station to start campfire. We used 3 pods to start but it's our first time. You can buy online for different fire starters. It will take forever if you don't have fire starters. - yogi reward program available to earn points for free nights. Google and sign up online. We went to this location for the first time last summer. We were all really excited but it didn't meet my expectations. One of the biggest issues I had was the ant infestation in our cabin. I understand seeing ants here and there--we're in the woods--but ants were crawling in the beds and all over everything. This place isn't exactly cheap so at the very least I expected not to have to sleep with ants crawling all over us. Also, there is a reason everyone rents those overpriced golf carts. (We didn't). The resort isn't flat and it takes a long time to get around if you don't have those carts. Lastly, the bottom of the lazy river is so sharp and rough that foot cuts are common. My son's toe got shredded up and he bled all over the place. The lifeguard station was great though and cleaned him up. read more

This place is run by robots We arrived an hour before check in time. The place was empty, they made no attempt to accommodate us and they made us wait over an hour in the parking lot in the pouring rain. They were nice enough to offer us our wrist bands an hour early for a $25/person charge. While waiting in the lobby you could hear that this place is all about the money. They are not flexible and couldn't care less about even trying to accommodate. They refused to help anyone before 1pm. As they sat around not helping they made time to talk about people that came to check in early after they walked out. You would think they could have checked to see if sites were available. We usually go to KOA's. They are so much more flexible and easy to work with. Some others that were checking in were not happy either. They moved their sites and separated them from the rest of their party. The receptionist gave the prepackaged excuse and then got her manager that didn't help them either. This is my second time I visited the park, the first time was 4 years ago and we stayed in a cabin, but a few weeks ago we decided to stay in a tent side and it was a nice experience except for some things, the campers don't respect the quiet time at night and morning too. A lot noises until 2 am and early from 6 am. But the worst experience was bathrooms, very few for the number of sites and people it covers. They need to add more bathrooms. They rarely cleaned the bathroom in all the 6 days that I stayed. The showers didn't have enough water pressure, 2 out of 6 had only hot water, some had no paper, hairs everywhere, the toilets didn't work, and super dirty, the truth was a disgusting thing that didn't encourage to use them but there was no other option. For the price you pay is not for having the bathrooms under those conditions. I hope you get better because the truth is a park that has many things to have a good time but with the bathrooms with that condition, is not encouraged to reserve again. And please add more shadows in the areas of the tents and MORE BATHROOMS, is not enough to cover all the tents area. read more

I had no choice but to take that location or was going to lose $1,300. When I arrived there the actual house was way smaller than shown on the internet and would not have been safe for my autistic granddaughter to stay in the only other thing that they were able to offer me was another house that was bigger however was an upcharge so now instead of spending the original 1300 I was charged another $400 so I spent a total of $1,700 for 2 days and to top it all off the one reason why we chose this location was because of the lazy river that was one of the main amenities of the park was closed due to maintenance. I had reached out to several people regarding this issue and unfortunately nobody reached back out to me to try to help me with anything in this whole process I would not recommend this location due to poor communication and lack of accommodation in situations beyond control. I have visited many other Yogi Bears so that doesn't mean that they're all bad however this particular one was not worth what I spent to try and give my grandchildren a nice weekend. read more

we have stayed at a few Jellystones and brought our grandkids as a stop on a longer trip. The management and staff were friendly. The site was clean and the utilities properly maintained. The positives: the waterpark was great fun for the kids, the Kids package was definitely worth the price as the kids enjoyed every event. The staff for the activities was friendly and the kids liked all of them. The negatives: the water had a light brown tinge even after double filtering. We spoke to other guests (regulars) and they said it was fine. We stuck to drinking bottled. The staff for the water park should not be allowed phones, other than the people wearing lifeguard shirts the staff was distracted and bored. You have to buy the wood there which is okay. Eventhough it said it was kiln dried, the wood appeared freshly cut. Our first fire was horrible. When neighbors left, they gave us some good logs which allowed us to get a big enough fire going to over come the new wood. There were yellow jackets (nasty little wasps) everywhere and they had traps but eating outside during the day was risky at times. We will probably go back again, but with a full tank of water. read more

This is our 4th time staying at Yogi in Gardiner for LDW. We look forward to tent camping with at least 2 other families every year. I have recommended and raved about this place and now I feel like I have led others astray. Something has changed in the last year or so and not for the better. My main praise of this place - and one of the reasons I didn't might paying a higher than normal rate for campsites - was the amazing clean bathrooms. There used to be housekeeping logs hung in the bathrooms and they were checked nearly every hour. They were SO CLEAN, well stocked, and fully functioning. NOT THIS YEAR. In the span of 3 days there have been number clogs and overflows that have not been fixed for over a day. The lights didn't work in 2 bathrooms. The smoke detector was chirping in another. The paper towels ran out and they are still not filled (even after calling). There is brown stuff in the showers that was never there before. Some bathrooms don't have running water in the sink. Some showers don't turn off. I called to alert the office. They called me the next day - kudos - but then asked ME several times if things were fixed. It was a strange conversation that could have been fixed with a trip to check for yourself or a maintenance log. This is very disappointing. Currently looking for a new family campground for next year. Do better... you had a good thing going for awhile. read more

My family of 10 came on Monday & there has not been 1 complaint. We are staying at the Bevier Lodge and it's amazing. There is 1 bedroom upstairs with two twin beds and a loft area with a twin bed & futon. Downstairs they're 2 bedrooms with queen size beds. There's a beautiful porch with chairs that we would sit at every morning having our coffee and a back porch with a table for 10. We had a hot tub in the back that was used every day. Beautiful property and surroundings on the river and mountains. If you are a traditional behavior camper this place is not for you. They claim to be dog-friendly, and veteran-friendly but with the fireworks poppers they sell in the main store, they are not. Anything goes here. Drunken golf cart operators putting campers in danger. Nobody stops them. They rent more golf carts here than a golf course. They all exceed their own rules on speed of 5.5 miles per hour. Staff carts all exceed safe speeds also. Rules say no electric vehicles but every kid has an electric scooter, drone and glider boards. Very unsafe for kids and your dogs. They only care about profit and care very little about campground etiquette. Staff is nice enough but they will tell you management does not want anything enforced. read more

I have come here with my family for 4 years now and this year has been a horrible experience. We checked in after check in time and they told us our cabin was ready. We went up to our cabin and started unpacking and our cabin had not even been emptied of the last guests stuff. We called to let them know and they cleaned it, but barely. There was still garbage left, the fan was broken, the stove was broken. Multiple parts of the splash park were not functioning. There was no WiFi the whole time. Multiple families that were here at the same time packed up and left in the middle of their stay. After speaking to the staff that are here, no one seemed to care, or think any of this was a problem. Have been attending an annual family vacation at this campground for five years.... Even with obvious staffing shortages we've noticed since covid we always have a great time... All the employees at this Yogi are very nice! The night manager who lives on site was awesome after a relative broke down while entering the property. He made sure they had everything they needed and even offered them a cabin after the fifth wheel they were in was stuck and unable to be brought to their campsite. The only complaint would be that the bathrooms and some of the main facilities could use some extra cleaning... Already booked for next year! read more

As far as a family camping vacation, it was great and the kids had a blast. The hillside premium loft cabin is really cute and cozy. The water playground was bigger and better than i expected, although the water is too cold. They have a lot of great sports areas and the trampolines are great. They also had a nice firework show on a sat night. However, if you're expecting any kind of service, you need to really keep your expectations in check here. They have teens who don't know what they're doing and can't answer basic questions, which I expect. What I didn't expect was the adults at registration/reception who didn't offer so much as an apology for double booking my cabana one of the 2 days and giving it away to another family. They acted like giving me a refund was a favor and promised me a call back from a manager.. 2 days ago which i never got (not surprised). At this point I don't even care because for $200-$250 the cabanas aren't worth it unless you go on a super busy holiday (like 4th of july). We spent a total of 20 mins in the cabana so i basically paid for a $250 shaded table for lunch. The service at the tiki bar is also really slow so just make sure you order earlier than you want to eat but the food options are decent. Also as a heads up, the golf carts are a must if you're pregnant, old or have little kids. It's def possible to walk but for $90 a day we felt it was well worth it to be able to get around quickly. Overall i might go back but with much lower expectations. read more

A year later and final visit. This time I gave them 2 stars only because you can actually enjoy the pool area in the middle of the week.. come Thursday, forget it. Nothing has changed since my last review last year. WiFi.. forget it.. there is no wifi at all. For the amount of money we spend to go to this campground you would at least think they would boost up their Wi-Fi and add repeaters. Download everything you need before you arrive because you will not enjoy anything over there Wi-Fi. This is the last time over many many years of visiting this Yogi bear location every year we find ourselves complaining about the same exact things showing that absolutely none of these reviews get looked at or addressed. Going forward Moose hillock Lake George will be our 4th of July destination. We've also spoke too many campers that share the same feeling we do, that have also been going there for the past few years and they are done as well. read more

Stayed here for a few days recently with the families of my siblings. I am single, no children. Overall, it is a nice campground. The staff, which is mostly comprised of young adults, is very friendly. The facilities are clean and there didn't seem to be an issue with overcrowding in the facilities. Check-in seem to be easy, and the main check-in building also has laundry facilities and clean bathrooms. You can rent a go cart, which we did not. A lot of the amenities do come with a cost, which is pretty normal. We had one of the new cabins, which was very clean and comfortable. It exceeded my expectations in terms of comfort and privacy within the cabin. We had AC, plenty of room for people to sleep, a full kitchen with utensils, cooking materials, plates, glasses, etc. The unit also had two very nice LCD TVs with DVD players in them. Be sure to bring along DVDs and games in case it rains. My biggest complaint would have to be that the sites are pretty close together. We had a few families (who were together and loud, inconsiderate of neighbors) near us that were up past midnight with the group of them very loud. No one came up to say anything to them, possibly because we are all the way up the hill. They seem to monitor the RV campsites much more frequently than the cabin sites. Each site has a fire pit/bbq grill and a picnic table. The main communal area for people to hang out is the pool area. There are three sections, including a waterpark, heated pool, and an unheated pool. Lots of kids... not all little ones had a supervising adult. A few times I almost got clocked in the head several times by children (under age 5) jumping over me. Look around, no parent corrected them. Parents need to understand that lifeguards (and other guests) are not babysitters. Perhaps this can be stated clearly while checking in. A lot of people seem to not get that when people are vacation, they are still responsible for their children. I was disappointed by the game room. I was hoping there will be a few games to play since I am an avid video game player. There were literally six machines play video games. 2 motorcycle, 2 car racing, and a Jurassic World shooter game. The rest of the games were the prize games which no one ever wins. What a waste. The only other thing there was an air hockey table. I was really hoping for some classic games but I guess they have to make money from that gaming room. However, if I was apparent I would be furious that that was what was considered a game room. Those prize games are like crack to little kids. I guess that's why they have them in there. But for me it was a waste. We had family come up for fishing. The area for fishing abuts several campsites, in the corner of the campgrounds. Not really convenient as an amenity. As a single adult, there was really not much for me here as an attraction. But I didn't really come here for myself. I came to spend time with family and to feel a little nostalgia for the old days when I used to camp as a kid. There was enough for the kids to be occupied. However, I could sense that the older kids would be a little bored next year if we came back. I would come back with family. Overall a good visit but could use some improvements to amenities to include late teens (which my family will have a lot of soon!) and also adults. read more

When you spend 1400 dollars on Vacation and main pool is shut down for the hole day. It's bullshit this place has went down hill in so many ways. Candy bar bingo use to bro g or buy candy from Shop to play. Know you have to pay 2$ per card and if you win it's literally 7 candy bars you win. So 7 of us two cards each 28$ to win 7 bars wow how to take the fun out of it yogi bear. Seems like like they don't give a shit about there campers any more. Also we are on site 142 i dont recommend this site to any o e unless you want to smell sewer the hole time. I wasn't going to bitch we love the pools and lazy River but Last straw shutting down main pool the last day I'm her really put me over the edge especially when its 89 degrees out feel like Temp by the way is 97. read more

I've been going to Yogi Bear Gardiner for about 8 years and have seen the growth and changes. I was disappointed again this year again because of the new cabanas put up by the main pool, there are hardly any tables and chairs left in that area to enjoy sitting in not eneryone can afford a cabana... (to the right of the walk going in) and you get the side of a big cabana to look at not very nice. The place could really use some handicapp improvements too, if not upgraded it will probably be the last time we are able to come. The bathrooms and pool access need to ada compliant throughout the park, they seem to be able to make more cabins, cabanas and lots of ways to increase profit how about making the investment in infrastructure to excell,, the pools are getting like city pools so crowded need a new giant pool for all the people they pack in now. read more

Such a disappointing trip. The COVID preventative measures were a joke. If you arent going to enforce guests wearing masks (which they weren't, only 2 or 3 other families had them) thats one thing. But the actual park employees weren't wearing them! We went into the Camp Store 3x and all 3x the women working there had no masks (1 had it around her chin. The other had nothing. They both spoke to us with no masks and even leaned in to speak to our toddler from about 2 feet away. We quickly paid and left). We ordered firewood and were excited for the free delivery that was included. The pamphlet says "free delivery upon payment" but we waited for 90 minutes and no wood arrived...after holding off on our campfire for 90 minutes we went down to fetch it ourselves and were told "it just left to be delivered". 25 minutes later it arrived. Less upsetting but still a pain, the wifi was down during the (limited during the week) hours that the amenities and food/store were open, so everything became unexpectedly Cash Only. Employees told us to go to the atm so we did but were told that was down too. After waiting an hour for the atm to come back on, we then had to pay a surcharge to get cash out and rush to order ice cream before it closed. There was no time to do any of the activities that were an additional charge by that point. We were also told that our ice cream selection would be limited to 'the ones they had the price+tax memorized for" because their system wasn't working and they didn't know how to calculate tax on several of the items.... All in all, we won't return or recommend. The river was fun and the bounce pillows were fun (although dogs were allowed to "jump" which had us sitting out until they left) but we can find a river anywhere. read more

Once again our camping trip was a disappointment. We stayed from June 1st to the 4th. The only reason I went back was to use our camp credit. This was the first time I've rented a cabana. They wanted to charge me a full day on Friday when the pool was only open from 4pm-7pm. I was able to change it to Saturday for $125 more. That was completely ridiculous for a cramped and extremely dirty space. We also were trying to listen to music at a respectful level and there were people blasting their music with a speaker big enough to be heard across the whole pool area. They changed their food menu so all the yogi parks can stay the same per corporate across the board. My husband got a cheese pizza and it was a frozen pizza that was burnt and taste like cardboard for $15. The burgers were also greatly overpriced frozen patties. I understand that not everything can be gourmet or homemade but if your going to offer frozen food then lower your prices. You are asking luxury prices for EVERYTHING in your park and not holding up your end. I looked into POSSIBLY coming back in October and the prices were $400 a night. That is outrageous. I've looked up Great Escape Lodge and there prices are more reasonable with a theme park and indoor water park. There is also a campground. From now on that will be our vacation. Hopefully people get wise to Yogi taking advantage and stop going. So disappointed. The only thing that made the trip worth it were the people we were with. read more

This was my favorite of 3 jellystone parks I've been to. Kids had a blast. We stayed in a cabin, it was clean and more items than we thought were there. We overpacked. Will return now that we are RV owners. Expensive place but kids had so much we will return. Not many food delivery places in the area but cold beer and food available at the snack shack. The ranger station was well stocked and the ice cream was great. Kids enjoyed all activities and art programs. I wish the characters walked around more often. All in all, we will return! read more

I just stayed here for the 4th of July holiday with my family and friends (3 days total). Overall, the pool and water park was nice, but there were a few drawbacks... the golf cart we reserved broke down on the second day, so we had to find someone to tow it back to our campsite where we had to wait almost 3 hours to get it charged AND it only goes about 2 miles an hour - there were people walking who were passing us!; we had no cell phone service (and we all have Verizon as our carrier) and the wifi reception was terrible; they didn't allow us to have our camp lights on after 9pm, so we had to use flashlights every night which was a real pain; the fire ring didn't have any grill attachment to put on top like the other Jellystone resorts do, so we had to drive 30 min to Walmart to buy a grill grate to put on top. Needless to say, I will not be going back to this location. The Delaware Beaches location doesn't have a lazy river like Gardiner does, but it's worth the longer drive to be more comfortable. read more

We are at RV site 16 which has a public access to the river 30 feet away from our site. We have no privacy. People walk through our site trying to find the access to the river. This park has another access point, graveled and enclosed with fencing. The sites surrounding the public access say this is a private campsite not a public access. This allows the guest near bye the graveled fenced in access the opportunity to enjoy their privacy. We payed premium price for an area which doesn't afford us the opportunity to eat in privacy or enjoy looking at river nor are we able to have privacy to talk. The people come in groves, yell, smoke and etc. People drive their golf carts onto our concrete slab, they block our driveway with their carts. Being on this site Has been a unpleasant experience. read more

We have enjoyed coming for a few years, however, the prices keep going up like crazy. Furthermore, things that we looked forward to are no longer available since the management change. While they have added the lazy river, they keep taking away camper sites for more cabin sites which limits choices for those of us in campers. Several other campers we know no longer come to this campsite due to the prices and unfortunately we feel as though our days with this campsite are limited due to us feeling like the prices are too high as well. We used to make several trips per year and now only go twice a year. There are other campsites locally, and we have already started to explore those other options. I know inflation has changed things, but it is hard to keep up with the increasing rates. read more

The facilities are really fun but the tent camping area is so small. The smallest I've ever seen. The neighbors tents are right on top of yours. It was so noisy until about 3am our first night with loud music and big family parties - where was security! Go to a beautiful, cheap and spacious State Park campground for 1/10th the price. read more

Overpriced with many of the sites super duper tiny. We got 2 big camper sites next to the river. Our neighbors were two fire pits over and they were still close to us. The kid pool was freezing cold at the end of July and the pool next to it was also cold (it was about 84 degrees and too cold for me to go in). They glow in the dark "Hey Ride" was not worth the 45 minute wait at all. Just drove around the campsite and yelled at everyone. Dumb. The bathrooms were clean. The shower that i used worked well and was clean, but my sister in laws said their showers sprayed water in all direction. The camp store had all the essentials, except sweat or lounge pants (husband forgot those). Wouldn't make it a point to come back due to super high cost to rent a site. read more

I have been here many times. Unfortunately the campgrounds were not what they could and once were. I have been there 3 years in a row. I have watched it constantly go down year after year. Unfortunately last year might be our last since they are charging about 20% more than 7 months ago when I was last there. When I was there there was a flood, the fire dept had to evacuate ppl, the commotion that caused, my cabin leaked, the laser tag wasn't working, they replaced the laser tag with archery that we still had to pay for, and the pool was closed 2 times not due to rain but maintenance, and so much more. read more

It used to be a four to five star resort, but it has gone down since then. They built a lot of cabins, but they haven't kept up much of the park that needs upkeep. The cost keeps increasing, but not the value. The wifi can't keep up with the number of people using it now. The two pools were cold in mid-August, and even if they don't want to pay to heat them, they could at least use solar covers in the off hours (7pm to 10am). read more
