They have many options all for Tent Campers (that includes this wonderful little wash/dish/ bathroom/ shower hut) include a charcoal grill The main building has a HUGE CLEAN bathroom, several stall toilets and several open/separate roomed showers Pop ups fit wonderfully where ever you are comfortable, some of the tent sites even include an electric outlet, if you want to rough it with an outlet. Great easy pull in, or back in sites for bigger RVs with water/ electric/ and sewer hook ups This campground is new to this owner for a few years now, and 2020 has not been nice with a couple fires. But they are working hard, and really go out of their way to make your stay wonderful. They had to make some 2020 adjustments and move the store to the front in an older camper and it is ADORABLE! Very disappointed. Photos and descriptions on website are innacurate. No pool. Miniature golf course unusable. Activity room locked. Only place to get rid of garbage is 1 u-haul truck by playground. No one in front office. Had to call a number to ask for assistance or questions. Picnic tables disgusting. Seasonal campsites need to be cleaned up and made presentable. Could be a very nice place if someone actually took the time and cared enough to do the upgrades needed. read more

I'm so glad we found this place- We love camping and we LOVED So-Hi! So-Hi is fun and funky with a down to earth, good natured, no nonsense proprietor. Our campsite was right by a creek and had two fire pits and an old pic-nic table. The pool was clean and refreshing and the grounds were nicely shaded. A fun mix of seasonal residents and weekend adventurers made this place interesting and inviting. They Had bingo in the main office building (we didn't go but a nice activity!) and a great pancake breakfast the next morning with sausage, eggs and coffee. I only wish they had put out a jar or can so I could have donated a couple of bucks- it was delicious! My husband and I have done a lot of camping and as far as private campgrounds go So-Hi was awesome. Lots of nature and it Seems like it would be a great place for kids with all the outdoor activities they have. read more

We had a great time here. It is a lovely, peaceful woodsy setting. It is very dog-friendly - my pup loved wading in the creek. The staff are friendly. It is close to the swimming hole in High Falls and great hiking/beach at Lake Minnewaska. My RV site was large and had a great view. This "rv park" is not what they want you to believe it is, like the pictures online. It is Not pretty, not well cared for, not pleasant to look at. Turning into the park it's a steep downhill that needs pavement work. That leads to a narrow gravel road throughout the park filled with some major potholes. Then there is a portable shed for a makeshift office, and nobody inside. Bathrooms were useable. We spent a week there and the trash bins (3) were overflowing. Very muddy, not their fault but still a problem. Tight sites. Some stored useless campers that are an eyesore should be removed. The place needs a lot of improvements. We don't usually give a bad review but beware of this campground. read more

Me and my boyfriend came up for 4th of July weekend. It was easy breezy checking in, and being told where the site would be. We had an amazing secluded campsite, it was great! The other tenting sites weren't too close, and everyone we encountered was very friendly. The campsite is close to hiking, and cute antique places. They also had bathrooms, and they were clean, along with sinks that you could clean your dishes in. It was a great experience, and we are coming back again! Would def recommend sohi! read more

Had a great time! Less crowded, more woodsy than most. Not slot of kids running around. WiFi was excellent. Pond had a ton of fish-catfish, perch and bass among others. The owner and staff were wonderful and helpful. I actually spent a lot of time talking with them.they have slot of sports equipment rods, etc for you to use. Not charged like most places. They have been updating, so arcade and pool closed but still had a great time ( and cheaper than most places) we will definitely go back! read more

Tent camped for 3 nights in the Pine Cone Alley section. Highlights are the renovated and clean bathrooms (especially the spacious showers up at the main building) and the super friendly staff. I'd stay here again for sure. You can tell Ralph, the owner, is fixing the place up. He's doing a great job! The nearby town of High Falls has good fishing. And Emmanuel's Marketplace in nearby Stone Ridge is a fantastic local grocery store to stock up on anything you need. read more

My friends and I (group of 11, mixed professionals late 20s all with college degrees, and a J.D) camped here last weekend July 7-9. We thought we would enjoy some of the campgrounds activities but were notified on arrival that the pool was closed. I don't even really recall seeing mini golf but sure. The lake is something I'm sure we would not row boat in as it looked toxic. Our latrine broke down as well mid stay as the septic tank leaked onto our site, not a huge issue but worth mentioning. For starters one of the guys is extremely sarcastic and not that I don't have any funny bones but if I'm asking questions, please don't give me run arounds and sarcasm, just answering the question would be helpful. These people are also like day and night in the sense that they are extremely nice but god forbid they are stressed out as they will verbally attack as they did with us. Extremely, utterly the most unprofessional experience I've ever encountered with someone running a business. We were placed by a family after being told that we would be "taken care of" as they are aware the ages in our group and know that we like to party. We had been playing our music, a mix of hip hop, 80's soft rock, jazz and rnb. To our chagrin however, there were rules posted, and maybe us being millennials did not read the 11pm lights out issue, but if we are told that our "age group" is understood, I would assume it would be know that we are going to play music well into the early morning. Also NO ONE ever said a word to us. Call it moxie or what you have it, but if someone's music is bothering me, I will be sure to let them know in the nicest way possible. Clearly on this campground that does not exist. At around 2am, without any warning, Mr. Sarcasm comes up literally out of nowhere yelling using cursory language for us to turn our music down. Literally using the word "damn" and spelling the word "off" as we were illiterate. And when I say yelling I'm talking about hollering here. His approach was one of the most hostile I have ever experienced in my life regardless of this person being a business owner. He cited that he received emergency calls etc etc, three calls to be exact. We turned our music off completely, cited that we were not aware and literally that no one said anything to us. First off, I've watched many a campy slasher film, you do not encroach someone's space in the dark in the middle of the woods like that. Secondly, if you received more than one call, come the first time and we would have gladly obliged to turning the music off. Third and most important, EVERYONE IS A CUSTOMER! Do not treat your customers horribly and CURSE at them because another customer has ticked you off. KEEP CALM! Do not come yelling with a hostile manner threatening people. There is a way to approach people regardless of what is going, especially if you are a business owner. The man later called to make sure we had turned or music down and only after me telling him that his approach was extremely unprofessional did he come back to apologize and cited that he was dealing with a lot etc etc call the wambulance. WELL SORRY TOO DAMN LATE. For that very reason our experience was completely ruined and usurped by the fact that we were treated with such hostility as if we had just stole the campsite and were not even paying customers. The next day, the wife of the adjacent campsite sheepishly came over and apologized as she "did not think it was going to go down like that" and that was not what she wanted as she even heard bipolar Mr. Sarcasm clearly trying to audition for Split 2. Pros: they have bathrooms close to some campsites if they're working. They also have electric outlets and grills on campsite. Good place for families with older children as they can entertain themselves since half the campsite might as well be rundown. Younger children definitely at risk. Cons: Unprofessional and uncouth staff. Campground needs work. Message: Be consistent, be courteous, be mindful and be strategic. Don't promise or make the campsite seem like something it's not. Know your customers and maybe take a course in customer service. Won't be returning. 1 star for electricity and bathrooms. read more

Really quiet and relaxing park. They are currently renovating some of the campground so expect it to look like a little bit of a disaster. This place is perfect for people who really like camping out in the woods. If you like big well lit places like KOA then you might not like this place too much. However you should take into consideration that the owners of this campground are outrageously friendly. They helped us with all of our questions and even showed us around and talked with us about what they are doing. There is room for tenting and any size RV. I would suggest this place to almost anyone. I imagine that I will be upgrading it to a five star review once I see that the renovations are complete. read more

14 of my friends stayed there last weekend and I was there but didn't sleep there but saw the whole facilities. The owner is very friendly. Helped us with firewood and they have real bathrooms. When you are driving there just be attentive as the sign on route 2 is very very small. I over shot woodland road by 4 miles. We had a great stay at So-Hi and would highly recommend it to other campers! The owner was very friendly and helpful! Our campsite was secluded and had a fire pit, three picnic tables, and plenty of space to set up multiple tents on the site. The best part was the complimentary pancake breakfast on Sunday! There is plenty of hiking to do in the area. We went to Minnewaska State Park one day and checked out the swimming area and hiked to the waterfall. The next day someone else from the camp ground recommended High Falls, which was wonderful! read more

We spent one night tent camping at so hi while exploring minnewaska state park and the surrounding area. We really enjoyed our stay. The campground is quaint with a pond (and paddle boats), a pool, a mini golf course, etc. The new tent sites were peaceful and comfortable - they all have tent platforms, fire pits, and grills. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. The owner, Ralph, was really friendly and welcoming and did his best to make our stay enjoyable. So hi is in a really beautiful part of New York and is a great jumping off point for exploring the region. I would highly recommend it. read more

Very disappointing. It was one of the worst campgrounds we've been to and as full time RVers, we've been to a lot. The website makes it look much better than it really is. The campground is very rundown and needs a lot of work. There are a lot of old dirty campers that look abandoned. The road coming into the campground is on a decline and is in bad shape. We were concerned about damage to the legs on our 5th wheel. The water had a very strong sulphuric smell. When the sprinklers were being used to water, we lost water pressure to our rig. The water just trickled out. We also had problems with our electric cutting off due to a problem with the pedestal. The owner provided us with an additional electric cord so we were able to connect to another pedestal. The owner and guys who worked at the campground were helpful and addressed our issues right away. This campground needs plenty of TLC. read more

We never made it here. 2 days before going we happen to go onto the website and noticed the pool was under construction. After making the reservations weeks in advance, you think They would have called to say "hey our pool is under construction". Hell no, why would they?? I called and asked for out money back explaining we have children and there is NO way they would want to go with no pool. It was expected to be the 3 hottest days of the summer so far. The man on the end of the phone cashed out checks after he agreed to a refund. He wasn't argumentative about refunding, but he certainly wasn't warm and fuzzy and he never even apologized. cashing the Checks after the fact was pretty lousy too. In addition, it took a few weeks to receive the refund in the mail. I was disappointed in the treatment we received and that they weren't going to let us know about the Pool before coming. Just bad business in my eyes. I really wanted this to be a good camping spot. read more

WOW! My wife and I tour the country full time in our RV and I can say that this 'campground' is the worst we have stayed at. The roads are primitive at best. I've seen better maintained logging roads in Northern Maine during mud season. They are NOT big rig friendly. Campsites for RV's are dirt/mud, WAY un-level and the electric and water hookups are 60 feet away from the RV. The sewer hook-up at my site is a pipe laying on the ground with no fitting on the end. The electrical box was laying over on its side. I had to prop it up with a rock. At night there were drunk people partying, yelling, and screaming till early morning hours and a few minutes ago there was a dog fight right in front of my camper. We were told the pool was having repairs, but it was just roped off with no work being done. The "Club House" is a rotted wood building that is one good gust of wind away from collapsing. My Wife opened the door and it was held on by one hinge and she couldn't get it to close again. The grass is not mowed and the entire place just has an ugly appearance. Good luck staying here with a nice camper or motorhome. read more

Came here with a group of about 15 & had a great time. The manager set us up near a younger group which was appreciated because some campgrounds do not like groups, especially loud ones so it was nice that they did not give us a hard time. The Sunday we left they provided a great breakfast with pancakes, waffles & eggs-this was a first for me at any previous campsites! Only issue during our stay was the ground had so many roots so it was hard to set up our tent but regardless, I would still return. read more

My family and I camped there, we were a group of 22 with 10 kids. You should know their website is extremely misleading. The bathrooms are disgusting! After being there Day 1, they closed the br closest to us... we were forced to use the one near the "office". It was gross too! The water smelled horrible, worse than feces. The paddle boating was in a lake that was only 40 feet wide. It was a very unpleasant experience. The ONLY benefit of this camp ground is they did not bother us after 11 reminding us it was quiet time. If you want to party, and don't care to shower, and don't mind the woods for the bathroom, then this place is for you. I forgot to mention the hideous playground... disgusting, full of mud! The playground did not have 6 inches of mulch, a 11 year old can hold up nearly all the equipment! For the golf, it had trash on it, tire parts, and the courses were full of mud so you could not even hit the ball. The pools covering was so bad, it looked like they did it in a few seconds. For the little rivers scatter around the playgrounds, there is so much grass in it that it looks like land. One of the kids stepped in it and we needed to fish it out. There was also a basketball court were 1 of the courts are broken. The only "good" thing was bingo and it was very bad. The bingo chips were rocks that were outside and the "prize" was a fidget spinner. But for real, they could have done a better job. read more
