I loved this spot, I met with Craig who is as nice as nice can be, the grounds are beautiful to walk and the towns surrounding this area are beautiful as well. I definitely recommend for a camping trip or RV stay

Second season at this campground. It has really come a long way. Friendly, helpful staff. Lots of room on the sites, safe and cozy outdoor camping experience. Quiet and peaceful. We will enjoy many seasons to come here.

SO HI Campground counts as one of my favorite places to camp at. with new ownership the campground Has had many upgrades and is beautiful serene wooded and has large camp sites. I've seen so much nature here I've seen great blue heron's in owls and deer and it's just a paradise. The campground is an older campground but has many amenities and if you're looking for a peaceful place to camp, So Hi is a treasure

The website for this campground is misrepresenting themselves. Beware! It is run down, not well kept, dangerous and primitive!

The best thing, Happy Days is only 4 miles from one of the greatest attractions in New York ....Bethel Woods, the 69' Woodstock Concert Field and the historic Woodstock Museum (which is a must see... you'll thank me later). The campgrounds are covered in pine trees, so you awake to great, fresh smelling air. It's very clean. The showers, bathrooms and rec room were immaculate. I drove my RV here, but on the premises, you can rent well restored, classical 3-wheel campers for a minimal fee and spend the night in camping luxury (and instead of my gas guzzling RV, I'll bring my car next time, instead and still save).... Tim, one of the owners, is great. From his story, he had no intention of running a campsite. He was in corporate management. He came to Happy Days as a kid. When the woman who owned the site told him, he'd have to find another place to camp next year ... the wheels went into motion. This campsite is Tim and his brother's baby and the care and the high standards they have also shows in their appreciation of their customers ... and I'm sure that comes from having originally been a customer of the campsite. Make sure you make reservations in advance, especially when Bethel Woods has a concert planned for the weekend. I was going to stay an extra day but I waited too long. Booked for the Bethel Woods concert goers.

So to be clear, we were actually renting one of the bedrooms inside the house. Shared bathroom and kitchen were part of the room rate. Definitely not my preferred travel choice but our options were limited. All -in- all it worked out because it was not a full house so we never had to battle access to either space. This property would be ideal for large families or friends traveling together. Tranquil setting, staffed office during daytime and furnished kitchen and toiletries, made traveling easy and pleasant.

The toilets were not cleaned as "stuff" was all over the back of the bowls. The showers lacked adequate shelving and hooks. And one didn't even work. The lower bathrooms were a little better, I assume, because they were near the pool and rec hall. Stalls ran out of toilet paper but were almost always filled with unflushed paper. The pool was green and not available to use until the day we were leaving. On the plus side. The sites were nice and level and clean. It is very accessible to many things to see in the area within 45 minutes like the FDR Mansion and the Hudson Walking Bridge and other places. Unless things change for next season, I would not recommend this place for anyone who does not have their own facilities in their RV.

There have been so many fantastic improvements, with a wide variety of fun daily activities like crafts, live music, community campfires, movie nights, baseball, cornhole, and more. First time camping (glamping really) here and it's not the worst but not the very best either…read more One concern was that we booked two cabins and requested it next to each other which customer service had confirmed. But upon arrival it was not followed through. Long story short, we explained that the neighboring cabins are all empty anyway at the moment so why not book us right next to each other. We were accommodated only after speaking to the manager. Next was that our air conditioning did not work. But again to cut short, they were able to provide us with two window airconditioners which worked out it the end and kept us comfortable. Dont get me wrong, all the staff we interacted were nice and polite, it's just that you know - first impressions about the place... The cabin also did not come with a grilling area - that is a first for us. All the cabins for every campsite we've been to ALWAYS had a grill. We borrowed an unused one from the empty/renovated cabin and brought a grill from Walmart nearby. I appreciated that there's a fan on the porch though. And like what other reviewers mentioned, there're a lot of seasonal and long termers here which meant most areas were occupied. And it wouldve been nice if the cabins we rented werent in between these long termers. Why? because they easily complain of noise (which they did with us) and our "sofa" that we "left outside"..uh hello its an inflatable sofa and is for outdoors. Seriously it kinda ruined the mood with some of these nosy "neighbors". Anyway i'll stop with the ranting lol so Yup, it's not the most fun camping experience and there isnt much to do. Not for me anyway...they do have a pool, playground, a dirty pond, a nice stream, basketball court, and some special events. Glad Arrowood Farm was close by. That was the highlight of this trip.

Of course, if you're visiting Yogi and friends, you're coming for the kids (and the water park). They have events you can sign up for, but don't count on them actually running. For example - the first night there was the silent disco. This is where you get headphones and get to rock out to your own music and just dance around. Good for kids and easy on the parents/anyone with sensory issues where it might be very loud. Except it didn't work - the headphones, the music, none of it. The young teens working there looked bored out of their skulls. Did nothing to entertain the kids waiting. After about 10 minutes of futzing around with the equipment, they were like eh "so and so said we didn't have to do the disco". Kind of annoying. On a rainy day, our laser tag got cancelled. Also kind of annoying, but you can't control the rain since this is an outdoor event. Wish they had some kind of indoor space in general for this in the event of rain. The inflatable pillow jumping pads were not inflated any of the times we visited the playground area. On the aforementioned rainy day, we took a stroll to the crafts area and figured, well maybe we can each get the kids something to paint. Except we were told that they don't do that, you have to pay them come back at the specified craft nights. What??? There's two people working here. And there is tons of stuff. But we can't buy something and just paint or assemble any of the crafts now? Make it make sense. Also, don't count on actually meeting Yogi Bear if you pay for the special Yogi Bear breakfast because we did pay for this add on, and neither he nor Boo Boo ever came to the outside pavilion where the event was. The attraction here is really the pool and splash parks which were a lot of fun for the kids. It opens at 10, which is kind of late. If you have kids, they're probably up early and chomping at the bit to come here. There are few other things to do before hand, other than mini golf or the play ground. The mini golf was cute and it's nice you can just play at your leisure and the equipment is always out. Other nice thing was the AC in the cabin worked very well. When we stayed it was mid-upper 90s and very humid. But you might want to wear shoes/sandals because the floor left the bottom of our socks quite dirty when we had them on and not crocs/sandals. The loft area in the cabin was a hit with the kids as well. All in all, our experience here was mixed. Would we come back? Eh. Maybe. The kids had fun and at the end of the day I'm grateful for that. But I'd like to explore other places before returning most likely.

I've been a seven year seasonal camper at Branch brook. A new owner took over a couple years ago…read morewith new management. Over the past two years it has slowly gone down hill. The biggest problem is the workers from out of state that take up living there because it's the cheapest way to live while they are up here working. Now that's ok, if, and that's a really big "if", the owner and the management enforced the rules. Unfortunately they do not. Parked on the sites they live at, is their travel trailer or fifth wheel, Very long construction trailer, make shift tents, their cars and their diesel trucks. You will be woken up anywhere from 4 am to 6 am when they start up those diesel trucks. There are some management that live on-site and do nothing to stop any of this for the family's that actually are regular campers. two years ago this place was packed with LONG TIME seasonal campers. All have left but maybe 4 or 5 . Not for anything, how about a little common courtesy. I have asked the owner to please have them park where us real campers won't be disturbed at this hour of the morning. He kept saying he will have them park in a designated area so this doesn't continue, but that never happened. For the most part, they are nice people, I don't directly blame them. This is something the owner and management should address. The owner himself told me he has bigger fish try fry. Well those words speak loud and clear. So the bottom line is, If you are from out of state and come to Branch brook to live while you are working in this area, by all means, this is the place to go. If you are looking to camp with your family for a weekend, a week, a month or longer.....I give you heads up....stay away. it is nothing more than a glorified storage facility. Very pricey for what you actually get. Instead of hearing children laughing and families around the campfire making memories and eating smores, All you hear are diesel trucks driving around campground, car's being worked on, garbage all over the place and dog poop EVERYWHERE. I do have pictures to back up my statement in case you might be thinking I have nothing better to do but complain , but when you've made a life at this place for 7 years and now it's turned into this, it's actually very sad.

The location is great for access to…read moreMinnewaska State Park and also very close to New Paltz which is convenient for picking up supplies. The sites themselves are tiny and fairly close together. The close together aspect is standard in my experience when it comes to car camping. The small size of the individual sites was a bit of a shock. Their website says only two tents are allowed per site, but it would be impossible to fit more than two tents on the pad designated for the tents, and there is not enough room anywhere else at the site to put up a tent. I use an ultra light weight 2 person backpacking tent and my friend had a larger 3-4 person tent and there was barely enough room on the pad to set both tents up. Basically, if you have two backpacking tents you'll be fine. If you have one car camping style tent and a smaller tent you'll be able to make it work, but if you have two large tents you definitely want to measure before you go because there is a good chance they both will not fit. There is a nice picnic table at each site and a stone tile is provided to cook on top of with a stove. Which brings me to the biggest downside to this campground, fires (including using coals) are not allowed at individual campsites. There is a communal fire at the pavilion with the showers and dishwashing stations, but that's it, which was disappointing. Some of the pros for this campground are that the small camping sites pretty much eliminate large groups, so you'll have pretty quiet nights. Flush toilets at the pavilion and showers for 16 quarters are pretty nice too. Closer to the campsites is another restroom with fancy port-a-potties and sinks with running water. Perhaps my favorite touch was the power strip in this bathroom for easy phone charging, as long as you have a charger. There were also some power outlets at the pavilion, and the washing stations for dishes were awesome. Overall I enjoyed my stay here, and found the staff to be very nice and helpful, but the campsite fire restriction may have me looking somewhere else for my next trip. Rates were about $36 per night per site.

The person who worked for the campsite was rude over the phone and didn't care. Better campsites in the area. They don't have flush toilets and smell was overwhelming. Never going back!!
