Definitely a cool place. Love the minigolf. Sadly the water stuff was closed. I am giving this a 3 star because they definitely need more safety. Story: I was playing on one of the jumping pillows. When suddenly these 6 big kids came up, and bounced us. I was fine with it, same with my new friend. When they asked us if they wanted to bounce us. So we said sure. So they did a big bounce. Me and him got flung out. He only hurt his back a little, but I couldn't breathe and my chest was badly hurt (which was how that bump came) and I was crying a lot. So yeah. We were looking for a place to stay in the natural bridge area for a vacation. We've been to 3 other jellystones and love all thr programs and activities they offer. I started researching this location and noticed a pattern. Great reviews until a point and then things drop off. I looked into it and discovered they are now owned by sun outdoors and it made perfect sense. We've stayed at locations that were acquired by sun outdoors before. They buy long run camogrounds that have a solid reputation. Sounds great, right? If they keep them in decent shape and continue the tradition, no big deal. Sadly, things quickly go downhill. We rented an rv at one of the other sun outdoor locations and the propane tank was empty when we arrived, the table literally fell apart, and things looked rundown or abandoned. It was the same story, lots of positive reviews until sun outdoor came along and ruined things. Sad that this jellystone had to endure a similar fate, but here we are. read more

We recently went camping for the very first time at Jelly stone and had a great time. What makes this place cool is not only the amenities but the different ways you can camp. -Tent camping sites- bring your own tent and the site comes with electricity, water, picnic table & a fir pit ( you need to bring your own wood) -RV sites (and long term RV sites) -cabins Amenities- *Bathrooms and showers.*They have toilets and showers throughout the site but it didn't seem like they had enough of them. I found this to be true on the lower side of the camp ground. They only have two bath rooms across from the activities and lower camp areas and there was always a line. They do have more showers and rest rooms in the arcade area but most people did not want to climb the stairs to get there. The staff did a good job keeping the bathrooms clean but when you have a lot of people using the facilities they can get real dirty real quick. It's a good idea to bring a roll of TP in case you need it. There were some stalls that ran out in between cleanings. Arcade- they have a small arcade with games and prize machines. Laundry- they do have a laundry area to wash clothes. You'll need cash and detergent. You can buy supplies at the general store Splash pad- Fun for kids Pool- Very small and limited parking for golf carts Fishing pond- they have a small pond you can fish in that's catch and release but there aren't many fish in there. It's tranquil though. Golf carts- you can rent them or bring your own Mini Golf- they have an 18 hole golf course which is fun. However they only had 2 golf balls!! Thankfully we had our own golf balls on hand but the folks behind us were not so lucky. General store- usually opens at 9 and has all the supplies you can need. Floats, inner tubes, ice bags, clothing, sandals, drinks, gallons of water, etc. Water slides- were out of commission during our visit (May 2022) Lake- they have a lake you can swim in with a bouncey pad in the middle. You have to sign up for slots ahead of time. Swim with caution because their are snakes in the lake. Activities- we went on Memorial Day weekend and there were nightly activities. They had a country music concert one night and a petting zoo the next day. Restaurant- the restaurant was not currently open but they did have a small food truck that sold hot dogs. Over all I enjoyed jelly stone the views were breath taking. I wanted more during our visit. More golf balls to play mini golf, more restrooms, more parking near the pool, more space to swim in the pool. read more

We went camping over Memorial Day Weekend and had a back in campsite in the wooded part of the campground. The positives: I will start off by saying the staff was excellent, courteous, and very friendly. The waterpark was not open yet, but they managed to get the pool open and were working hard to get everything open for the season. The natural beauty of the campground with the James River there was very nice. The negatives: The bathhouse near our campground needs to be updated and repaired. There were several soft spots in the flooring in several bathrooms. Many of the spaces had pealing paint and one bathroom had drywall missing off one of the walls. Our campsite was disappointing as our picnic table was broken and not able to be used. Our power pedestal was too low to the ground and the cover was broken off of it. My surge protector ended up being on the ground and not up like it should be. The water pressure was only around 25 PSI the whole time we were there, the WIFI was fairly poor at the campsite. For the amount we paid to book our stay, I was expecting the amenities, and campsite to be a little better than what we experienced. The campground needs to be updated in places, and maybe it being the beginning of the season some of these things have just not been fixed yet. read more

This was a nice campground years ago. We welcomed a return of once or twice a year with different generations of family. Too easy to complain. The rotating staff on water slides have been polite, friendly, and helpful. The food service, again, great service and very friendly even at busiest times. definitely recommend buying ALL items especially ice locally at Marathon gas before turning on road to campground. ice is 5 bucks for a small bag (convenient yes but...). absolutely NO food or drinks in pool area, not even a bottled lemonade nor pretzel rod! Pond slide removed, pond climbing floats removed also. no balls for miniature golf and closed most times. even in beginning July, staffing issues. arts craft reduced and minimal for kids. sites are not maintained well and poor service to fix basics. shared water with some smaller electric/water sites. bathrooms are hard to keep up with cleaning but they do try. ac not working in arcade room with very limited games, mostly unusable. no pinball. skeeball removed. Pool area has same tired limited pool lounges for years. not worth my monies anymore. way too many better campgrounds in area. Not worth the expense of a franchised yogi bear facility at this Natural Bridge location. teaching grandson 9yo better monies and sent in office store to buy 2 bags ice (unfortunately had no choice at moment) and gave him 21 dollars. he returned with six dollars and change. the adult had no idea why and used a hand calculator to try and figure out cost of 2 bags ice! very confused and not apologetic of the dumb mistake. not a college student either. unfortunately reading reviews lately and both good and poor and obviously cannot appease everyone, however, not the continued patronage of a struggling potentially great campground here will bring me back. I've tried several times making sure I wasn't the issue and watching standards slowly decline. Happy camping elsewhere. read more

We decided to stop here on our way from Tennessee to spend a couple days before heading home to PA. It's fairly clean and staff were friendly. However, at check in we didn't get a map or wifi information like most campgrounds. We didn't get anything. The spot we were in was the "lower" area close the water. It was pretty, but the sites are really odd. The sewer hookup for our camper was on the neighbor's site, beside their picnic table and fire pit, and under their camper awning. It was like this for the entire row. It's one thing to have your own 'crap' on your own site, but who wants someone else's to look at? Yuck. If we ever come back, we will definitely stay at the upper sites that appear to make more sense. read more

The staff was phenomenal!!! Very friendly and good with kids. That made me happy. The pool was closed. Can't comment on them. The playground and jumpy thing were awesome!! 5 stars. Clean and my kid loved them. My cabin was actually clean and had a ton of kitchen stuff. The shower is TINY. Real tiny. But clean and you better bring all toiletries!! We were camping with friends in a fifth wheel. The sites are big enough but absolutely no shade or a tree to be found. The campground posts a 5 mph speed limit but the golf carts and cars were flying g up this road. No enforcement of the rules, nearly ran my 18 month old grandson off the path and many young kids driving the carts as well. read more

Will never book with this company again. Had a three night stay booked for October 2024. Something came up and had to cancel which we did well over a month before the reservation. We were due a full refund minus a small fee we were initially told in the first week of September that the refund would have to come from home office and could take 3 to 4 weeks. A month passes and no refund. We call back to inquire and are surprisingly informed that the refund was never even processed. We were assured that it would be taken care of, issued, and would be here within that 3 to 4 week period. We waited another month and again no check. We called in a third time to now be informed that the refund was not processed until October 11 and could take up to 90 days. Completely ridiculous. read more

Lots of amenities. It was a last minute stop for us and I really didn't want to drive any further, so I paid the heafty price of $80 for a very uneven spot. The bathrooms are disgustingly dirty, the pool is cloudy, no trees to give shade. Gates are broken and unsafe. Bunch of teenagers running this place. Bad service in gift shop. Overpriced, dirty and rundown. I am so happy we only stay for 1 day. The river is beautiful. read more

If you like booking your site months in advance, taking off work, and planning a trip only to be called a couple weeks in advance for them to cancel because their website allowed you to book an RV in a pop-up site.....then this place is for you! If you like booking months in advance, showing up only to find out they overbooked and you have to park your camper in a non-site area after driving your RV around the campground for 90 mins...then this place is for you! If you like going through all this only to to be told, sorry, we can't really fix it because we are so busy....then there ya go! POOR customer service, apathetic, and overpriced. Our stay was less than ideal. Upon arrival the grass was tall and the sites were not kept up. We stayed in site L13 which was advertised and promised as a 50 amp. We only had 30 amp. Very disappointed and for that reason alone is enough not to come back. Moving on, the picnic table that came with the site was broken and unable to use. The sites grass needed to be cut. The play ground was super nice as well as the trampoline area. We did not visit putt putt or the small lake. The water slides and splash pad were extremely dirty. The water standing in the bottom of the slides was black. We did not visit the store but our neighbors ate there twice and enjoyed it. It was not worth the money we paid ($200+) to stay again. Used to be a nice family campground. Now it's run by mostly young kids who have no idea about customer satisfaction or running a respectable establishment. Very unorganized and unprofessional. 1 clerk works the entire general store and you can expect to wait over 20 min, cabins are in dire need of repairs and for the price to stay, that should be taken care of. No one follows the guidelines or rules and no one enforces them. Young kids flying around on golf carts, no one enforcing quiet time and people blaring music and screaming until almost 2am. The spots are packed in so tightly for $75 a night, no privacy at all. The bathrooms don't have toilet paper and are filthy all the time, when you can get into them. The worst experience I've ever had at a park. My family has been coming to this park for 15 years and we have never experienced service like we have this week. Everyone we have been in the presence of on the staff has been extremely rude. We also tried to make reservations for next year and we're told that they didn't have time for it even though there were 2 people working the rest and only 6 people in the store. The staff told us it would take them 45 minutes or more to do a reservation. They just didn't want to do it. Awful experience overall. read more

We decided to take a 4 day vacation and we are so happy we choose this place. We stayed in cabin 251 and couldn't have been more pleased. It was clean, screen porch and had more than enough room for our 3 kids. It was close (walking distance) to the park and the park was AMAZING! Water slides, pool, splash park, basketball, lake raft and much more. No matter what you like, they had it. The staff was second to none! I lost My Apple Watch in the lake and many of them went looking for it, they have activities planning from 9am-10pm each day at both the park and the camp ground. We spent a weekend here and wish we could have stayed longer. The lake was great, my son enjoyed it so much we never even went to the pool bc of the lake. The staff were very nice and made sure to tell u if u didn't have a mask on to keep your 6ft distance. Our only complaint is the bathrooms were completely disgusting, u could tell they hadn't been clean bc there was hair left on the floor, dirt everywhere, and bugs. My suggestion would be to fix the bathroom issue and this would be a great campground. read more

This is a real nice place for campers. It's probably a great place for kids as well. I don't have any young kids but I imagine it would be a lot of fun for them. This place has a pool, water front camping, a very friendly staff, and a great atmosphere. I'm just staying overnight so I don't get to use much of the campground's attractions. Great place to bring your kids and relax! They also have hook ups with electric, water and sewer. Note: the camp sites are VERY close together. Almost too close. read more

It's not often that you can plan an outdoor/camping weekend and not have it ruined by bad weather, but Jellystone has managed it. We came with our Cub Scout Pack and had around 50 people with us. Even though it rained (A LOT) the first day and a half of our visit, the kids were able to swim, fish, play, and participate in the MANY planned activities the entire time. It has been great, and our Pack families are already asking when we can come back. read more

Grouchy reception lady upon first entering. Wifi at our cabin was useless; and don't rely on mobile hotspot with your phone . Lake water looked like pea soup--interesting. Kitchen supplies were bare bones. Only 2 spoons; a few more knives and forks. No cookie sheets or other ovenware. Pots and pans would not be saleable at Goodwill. Game room games: more broken than working. Mini-golf course was hilarious: not even a windmill! The most creative obstruction was a rock. Pool was small, putt putt run down, game room most games didn't work. My kids really enjoyed the obstacle course float in the middle of the pond. And we all enjoyed the party by the pond. But this place is way to spread out for us. You have to rent a golf cart to stay here. And the people who worked there.... So rude! And not knowledgable about any of the surroundings... I gave 1 star for the accommodations and 1 star for the kids activities. We came to this campground for a fun weekend with my mother and brother and our families. We booked 2 family cabins that were advertised to sleep 8. One queen bed and a futon....futon is only big enough for one person. Thank goodness we brought blow up mattresses. My family stayed in U17. It was dirty, the AC was so dirty it was blowing black stuff out of it and all over the floor and all over the bed. The floors were not swept the kitchen sink was stained and gross. The loft was carpeted but I don't believe it has EVER been vacuumed. The doors do not close and you cannot lock them except for the lower lock on the handle. The porch was in need of maintenance. See pictures. The blinds are broken, and some really need replaced. My mother's cabin was infested with ants. We bought some fried chicken, left the cabin to go to the pool and the ants infested our dinner. I gave U17 a good cleaning before we left so hopefully the next person feels a bit better. We went to the cafe for ice cream and my daughter made a comment about how big the scoops were and the teenager behind the counter said "you don't have to have any how about that?" The kids had fun at the pool, slides and lake. If you want to enjoy the lake make sure to bring life vests. Any kid under 12 had to have a life vest and they do not have any to rent. Stayed here during the hottest possible weekend, so if you enjoy camping on the surface of the sun you would have loved this weekend. The camp sites are too close together, not a lot of shade or privacy, bathrooms were DISGUSTING, constantly out of everything at the cartoon cafe, and staff not very sanitary with food handling. With all of this being said, all staff were very nice except the kids up at the registration area seemed super stressed. We didn't go anywhere near that pond it looked like a bacteria fest, and the pool was kinda gross too. There's a lot to do and our daughter had a great time, but not my style of camping. Many colorful characters there, not my kind of fellow campers. Nothing says class like smoking and holding a toddler, but I digress...Anyway we'll s headed to the state parks next time. read more

The good; -Shower/Toilet areas were clean -Pool areas were clean -Lake Wibit was fun -Camp store pretty stocked with items -Lots of planned activities listed throughout the week and weekend with combo of free and cost -We we're at U231 and it was level, shaded The bad; -Youth staff have poor customer service, communication skills especially for family friendly environments (didn't greet my kids and I when we went to the make a Father's Day card craft event, she eventually asked me what I needed and I told her we wanted to make cards for our dads and she said oh and didn't introduce us to the art supplies until I asked her where they were and if we could use them)(my family got to the throw a pie at your dads face a little late and when I asked about giving each of my 5 kids a pie the boy staff was more concerned about throwing the last bit of pies in the girl staff's face than let the kids have it for their dad, so my kids were disappointed but the young staff didn't seem to care) -Extra $15 for internet was a waste because it didn't work -Cable didn't work -The air compressor to fill up tires was broken and did not have a tire gauge and they didn't sell them in the camp store -Golf cart rental is too expensive -One section of the Wibit (lake obstacle course) was not attached together (because the Velcro wasn't sticking) and my 6yo daughter fell through the crack so make sure you watch your kids on it! read more

Do yourself an enormous favor and steer well-clear of Jellystone Campground. All the poor and unreliable amenities could be overlooked, but the mis-management and absolute disregard for the customer puts this place in a category of it's own, with regard to quality of 'recreation.' Dozens of disputes that ultimately landed on the local court system show a blatant disregard for any, and all customers. read more

The park itself was very nice and we will definitely come back. The bathrooms and showers were cleaned often. The only complaint is that they were super short staffed, so the water slide into the lake was only ran for a few hrs a day and the two big water slides were never up and running. After a two week long journey, jellystone was our last stop, most expensive and worst by FAR experience. When we pulled up we were greeted by a very rude woman who when we said "hi there, we don't have a reservation, are there any spots left, how can we check in?" Her response was "you can't, you don't have a reservation". After driving all the way out with kids in the dark we were disappointed. Then she says you have to make a reservation. What kind of service is that... so inside we went to make a reservation. After paying $70!!!! We came out to hear some gun shots before spending 20 minutes trying to get into a terribly laid out and unlit spot. Came here for family reunion with group of about 40 family members. Some of our cabins weren't ready, and had bed bugs. Staff told us there was a motel down the street. Ranger was harassing our entire group and following us to our sites. Cabins are not clean, we had to clean them ourselves when we arrived. One of our cabins even had a broken fridge, although they were helpful with replacing It. Would not go back! read more

Only complaint is bathhouses needs some upgrades, and the camp store doesn't have very much selection. We tried to find sweatshirts for kiddos and toilet paper and was told didn't sell either. Decent campground with lots of amenities for kids. Our campsite was very nice and the staff was extremely friendly. The pool, splash pad and playgrounds were nice and seemed well maintained. My main complaint is about the bath houses, pond and dog park. The bath house by the pool seemed fine and had good water pressure but needed to be cleaned more often. The bath house on the other side of the park also needed to be cleaned more often but there was no water pressure and little to no hot water. The dog park is on a hill which makes it very hard to use, the grass badly needed mowed, did not have disposal bags or a trash can for cleaning up, and the gate did not close well. The pond was full of algae and smelled terrible. My girls had fun swimming and playing on the inflatables, but the pond needs to be a lot better maintained. Especially since good showers were needed after swimming in the pond! Overall we had a nice time but would have enjoyed it a lot more if things were better maintained. read more

Everything was great except the lake water smelled like sewage and was so murky i couldnt see my own hand 6 inches under water. The pool was great, water slides were great, splash pad was great, pillow bounces were great, bathrooms were cleaner than i expected for a campground. $10 a person to get in. Free parking. Food prices were outrageous but you can bring your own food in. We only spent the day so i cannot say how the camping or cabins are. They do have a stupid rule that all kids under 12 MUST wear life jackets. All my kids are phenomenal swimmers and were mad that they were forced to wear them. read more

We just returned from a 3 night visit to Jellystone Natural Bridge. This is my 3 year old sons favorite place to go. He loves getting to meet all of the bears. The activities that are planned are fun and gives us an opportunity to do something we may not do otherwise. Our favorite activity from this week was the wet wagon ride!! All of the amenities that are offered are great! We can't wait to return!! The only reason I'm giving this review 4 starts instead of 5 is due to some scheduling errors that were made. 1-we had to wait extra long for the wet wagon ride to start. Fortunately Kayleigh (the Rec staff member) jumped right in and played with the kids on the playground! 2-My son was pretty disappointed when he found out we wouldn't be having breakfast with a bear this morning, despite the schedule showing that as an activity! Truly a disappointment. First let me say the employees are great even though the property is run down 1970 was the last update it seemed. Cabin, (BoBo) mattresses are sand bags, seams in the walls open and front door not aligned ( open for bugs ) . Shower big enough for little people. No screen door. Sights need cleaning. Playroom , half of the machines out of order but still take money . lake brown and green water, Fishing pond over grown with algae. Kids water play area not maintained, slippery ,,,, Added cost not mentioned , you need a golf cart, you need air mattresses , not many restaurants in area expect to drive if your not cooking out. The river is beautiful and the pool is OK. And again the people working there are pleasant and helpful but there working in a rundown resort. read more

My family and I planned a trip there over the summer as a nice way to get away. We don't have a camper and opted to stay in one of the on-site cabins. Our entire experience was a nightmare and we never stayed one night there. We have contacted them Many times to speak to a manager and get a refund and no one had ever called us back.
