They even had a Masjid in the back of the store and an organic food section. The cashiers were very courteous and friendly, this is no lie this is the truth! At the other meat stores in Houston half the time I can't even get a salaam or hi and forget a smile. Maybe because I'm African American. Anyway from the heart they will be greatly missed.

I bought rice from them recently, only to find literal bugs crawling inside it. So I called the store and one of the ladies said to bring it back. When I bought it back, the salesperson was very nice about it. But another lady who works in the kitchen, Nadia, was extremely rude. She had the audacity to say it's not something we produce, I said I understand that and that she can at least exchange it with a same priced rice, so she said no we don't do that. The rice literally had bugs crawling all over it, and when washed even more light brown colored bugs show up. Imagine selling that type of nonsense. I have never been to a place such as this, the manager was not in, and she was just rude. Save your money and go somewhere else. There are 20 other grocery stores in this area.

So we went and it indeed had everything. The longest line was for Grill City. In all honesty, I feel like Grill City is a bit overhyped. The kare kare didn't taste like my father-in-law's. He makes the best kare kare. But you can't beat home cooking. Too bad my FIL is in CA. The liempo was good, but how can you really mess up grilled pork belly? However, I did like Sizzle.
