Cajun Grilled Chicken Salad

Service was absolutely amazing! Our waiter was great! The food was decent pretzel was good, smash burger needed more smash. Our party of 6 thoroughly enjoyed or yogi's experience. Atmosphere at yogi's was okay but it doesn't matter in a review in my opinion. The fried cookie dough was so exquisitely AMAZING!

The bar area and drinks are actually OK. It's the food that is lacking. The chicken velvet soup was so thick that it was like paste. They must make a big pot in the morning and it just sits on a warmer all day and night (I was here around 8 PM). I also ordered the pepperoni-stuffed breadsticks with pizza sauce for dipping. The breadsticks were underbaked and the pizza sauce was too thick and acidic. It's a far cry from the stuffed breadsticks from those just a half mile away at Kilroy's.

I visited Bloomington a few weeks ago and had the pleasure of eating at Yogi's. It's a sports bar, very casual atmosphere. We had pizza sticks, smash burgers, chicken tenders abs fries. You get alot of food. They give you a choice of tater tots or seasoned waffle fries with your entrees. The chicken strips are so tender and juicy. The burgers were messy and so delicious. Our waitress was very warm and hospitable. She made several recommendations and she was right about all of them. We had a great lunch and I look forward to coming back when I'm in the area again.

Chicken Tender Platter

- Chicken Tender Platter 8.5/10 one of the best things on the menu! Get it tossed in sauce for sure. Gigantic portion of tots too. Chicken very tender. Huge portions size - Yogis Smash 6/10 not a very good burger at all. Def get something else.

We tried Yogi's for a late Friday dinner after getting into Bloomington following a windy and snowy post-work drive. Our waitress was very kind and the food and drink came out quick. The food was okay but the prices were incredibly fair and portions decent.

Oh I was so happy to see Yogis back. Same name, some of the same menu, but most else is different. I was a frequent patron of the now haunted 10th Street location. Not in the "I come here for IU games" frequent, but in I would come once a week and try to convince others to come even though they didn't want to. And could you blame them? It was gross. There was a layer of grime on everything, there were always fruit flies (even in the winter), you had to know the meatloaf rotation before you risked ordering it, and god help you if you ordered the shrimp. Just a weird place; one where people just kind of worked there but no one was really managing it. I always sat at the bar because the service was otherwise atrocious. They would hire 19yo girls based on looks, not train them, then they would quit in a few weeks and you would never see the same ones. Anyway, that's all memory lane. What about Yogis 2.0 as it were... Obviously the place is nicer. Scottys was, if anything, always clean. Yogis also feels clean. The menu is better; more focused. I lost my meatloaf, but the random "specials" that you would never want to risk are gone. Beer list is fine. I don't know that it will ever get much better than the old Yogis, and even getting close would probably make them lose money like old Yogis. Atmosphere is more fun. Service is great. I had a tenderloin. They put brown mustard on it and I love that. Upland started putting a "stone ground aioli" on theirs and it now tastes like dog shit. Is it a new thing to put mustard on a tenderloin? Because I used to have to put it on myself and I am convinced I unwittingly started a local trend. They have some solid cocktail stuff too, like legit fresh berries (not frozen), fresh mint, etc. Frozen drinks for the kids too. I was told to try the pina colada, the taste of which I would liken to draining the balls of one of those big cans of pineapple. Who knows if there's rum in there or not; I couldn't tell. But not to disparage the place. This was super fun for me. After moving, I missed Yogis. I was sad when it closed. Yeah it's not Nick's, but there's still history there and I am glad someone else thinks so and kept it alive.

We ventured on a cloudy afternoon to try out one of the restaurants participating in Deviur Bloomington. Although it is downtown, you will find a parking garage nearby. When we were seated, a delightful waitress came to serve us. She only had one menu for the Devour Bloomington specials. Yet the choices were delectable. We received an appetizer. two entrees and a dessert from the menu for one price. The diet cokes were extra. We devoured the cheese curds and the cheese cake. Notice the cheese theme. We took home over half of our entrees for later. The food was excellent. What a great way to try out a restaurant in the middle of a pandemic!

Great sport bar to watch any game. The food was good and the bartenders are great. I will definitely be back when I'm in the area.

Good food (the chicken tenders are as good as advertised), plenty of tvs for sports and a good, young waitstaff full of positive energy.

So here's how the tap came out: It was a busy Saturday night. Easy to grab a high top, but being over 30 - it's not fun sitting on a bar stool. That's fine. The service - like I said, they were busy. But one of my friends never even got his drink, and he ended up telling the waitress to cancel it because we were already eating our fries. The fries - - 4 dipping sauces equals 5 stars! Love the ability to try different flavors and find your fav. My fav is the pesto aioli because its unique! I give the seasoning 4 stars, and it was a little heavy handed, and kind of overpowered the sauces. Texture was good, some were a lil soggy, overall they were good! I've had the other food at the tap, and always enjoyed myself. Definitely worth a visit - but be prepared if they're super slammed!

Their beer menu (which was fully printed and…read moreavailable at our table - no scanning a QR code or squinting to read a board at the bar) had a whole page of beers by The Tap Brewery, followed by two pages of guest craft beer representing every major type of beer and with some unique options, all on tap. For drinks, cocktails (and a few mocktails) and a smaller selection of wine are also available. I wanted to get beer but I was kind of tempted by the cocktails. My first choice was a flight that included a mix of The Tap beers and guest beers, but the waiter came back after taking the order and told me that they could only do flights with their beers but could let me sample the beers I wanted to try, so I did that, and the samples were probably around 2 oz each so I basically got half a flight. After that, I ended up ordering a real flight of their beer. The Tap beers I tried were: Kill the Lights stout (regular and barrel-aged), Tapenator dark lager, Frost Bite winter ale, Nefarious Nectar blonde. Guest beers: Jacob Leinenkugel white mocha stout, Weihanstephaner Hefeweissbier, BrewDog Winter Staycation. Not going to waste space reviewing all of these, but they were all fantastic. I was really grateful that they let me sample so many! And they also have food. The menu isn't huge but does have some variety, and it's not just basic pub food. I had the ahi tuna crunch bowl and it was pretty good! It kind of had the vibe of stuff thrown together in a poke bowl, but it worked and I thought the fish was done really well. Our waiter was wonderful! He was really friendly and just the right amount of attentive. My friend and I stayed for a while talking after we had paid and he didn't rush us out at all. Granted, it was a pretty quiet night. We both really liked the vibe of the place. I would love to be back soon!

Despite there being very little room, we moved as much as physically possible to accommodate him. When the man realized we could not move any further, he forcefully pushed past us and bum-rushed through the crowded line. We calmly asked him not to do that again, at which point he became hostile, continued pushing, and called us "black bitches." Shortly after, security approached us instead of addressing the man's behavior. We were aggressively told to "get the tf out" and informed that we were going to be banned. When I asked why, explaining that we had done nothing wrong, security responded by saying they "don't want any ghetto birds in our bar." As women of color being publicly disrespected, shoved, verbally attacked with racist remarks, and unfairly removed from the establishment, we became understandably upset and frustrated. While being pushed out of the establishment, security standing outside also spat on us. For legal purposes, I recorded portions of the incident and took photographs. I am also aware that the establishment has security cameras that should contain footage of the interaction from beginning to end. What makes this even more heartbreaking is that my family has deep roots in this community. My grandfather served as Captain of the Fire Department in Bloomington, and I have personally visited Brothers locations in my own hometown locally without issue. Receiving this type of treatment in the city of Bloomington is deeply saddening and disappointing. It feels as though respect and treatment toward minorities and people of color in certain establishments and parts of the community has significantly declined. No one should feel unsafe, degraded, discriminated against, or racially targeted simply for existing in a public establishment. Based on this experience, I would never recommend eating at or visiting this establishment. No customer should be subjected to racism, physical aggression, verbal abuse, or discriminatory treatment by patrons and security staff alike.
