If you were driving by, you'd think it was a creepy, old abandoned building. Even the inside is dark, with the lights turned very low. Maybe it's to set a mood. Everything seems pretty laid back here, like time slows down. It took me damn near 40 years, but I finally had my first Cold Stone experience. Prior to this I had only heard the legends from places like Aziz Ansari's classic standup bit. This is how I learned of their unique naming scheme for their sizes. Not wanting to look like a little poopy pants baby, I skipped right past Like It and went right to Love It. I'm glad I didn't jump all the way to Gotta Have It® (yes, each size has a registered trademark), as it simply would have been entirely too much ice cream - roughly three large scoops. Had a major a-ha moment when I got a glimpse of them using the stone. I was like, "OH! Like the name!" Couldn't really see what was going on from where I was standing, but essentially you pick a flavor of ice cream, then any number of "mix-ins" (surprisingly not trademarked) are folded into the ice cream on top of the stone, which in this case is a slab of granite kept at a frigid 16°F. Is it one big gimmick? Probably. I don't think it's that much of a step up from getting ice cream normally and then adding on whatever toppings. I guess I could see the value of Cold Stone's method when eating from a cone. This way you wouldn't have loose toppings falling all over the place since they'd be more incorporated in the ice cream. But as my preferred ice cream delivery system is the bowl, I'm happy going elsewhere for my fix to get more bang for my buck.

(My only complaint here.) The inside of the establishment is average cleanliness. No significant red flags/concerns stood out. The staff were effective and efficient though they did seem tired/stressed. They provided prompt service and delivered delicious products to each of the individuals in our party. We would certainly recommend, and plan to visit again.

Yes, their vanilla cake-based donuts are fried in hot oil and NOT duck fat. But what makes them unique is that their twenty-eight varieties are made to order right in front of your eyes. You see, the donuts are made by a cool automated process that drops plain donuts into a bin. Then the fun starts when the plain donuts are transformed in front of you with various toppings and drizzles. Bottom line? Your donuts are served hot and fresh for you. Founded in 2006 in Duck, North Carolina, the chain has expanded rapidly from its original Outer Banks location and now operates over 150 locally owned shops across 26 states, Puerto Rico, Canada, Egypt, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. The donuts are reasonably priced, so we paid just $2.65 each for a Blueberry Streusel and Cinnamon Bun donut. They were amazing. We both had a half of each donut last night, and we agreed the Blueberry was the clear winner. Bottom line? If your donut quacks like a duck.....you're in luck!

The vibe immediately pulls you in, classic 1950s ice cream parlor energy with a fun, nostalgic feel. One of the employees was even dressed in a white shirt and black bow tie, which totally fit the theme and added to the experience. They have a huge variety of flavors and options, so there's something for everyone. We came specifically for their Valentine's Day ice cream flight, and it did not disappoint. The flight included: * Cupid's Milk & Cookies * Raspberry Cheesecake * Red Velvet * Chocolate Covered Strawberry Every flavor was excellent, but raspberry cheesecake was the standout favorite rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. We also grabbed a kiddie size of white chocolate cranberry cheesecake, which was absolutely delicious and worth ordering on its own. Because it was freezing out (a rare win), we took advantage of that and grabbed two kiddie sizes to go for my mom, knowing they wouldn't melt on the way home. They also had ice cream pies stocked in the freezer, plus homemade waffle cones and waffle bowls, which smelled incredible. The only downside and this has nothing to do with Sweet Ride themselves was parking. With all the snow piled everywhere, we missed a sign indicating a bus stop zone right in front of the shop and ended up with a $50 parking ticket from the borough. Lesson learned: parking in the area can be tricky, so just be extra mindful of signage, especially in winter. That aside, this was a five-star experience across the board. Fantastic ice cream, fun atmosphere, and a great overall experience. We'll absolutely be back just with better parking awareness next time. Highly recommend if you're anywhere near Reading

I decided to go with the veggie omelette. The food was pretty decent I would say it's like an upscale diner feel with a Mexican flair. It has many Mexican inspired dishes as well. The dishes have a nice presentation for the most part. I think I would come back again, it wasn't too bad for two people it was about $40.

I'll be honest, I didn't know much about this place going in, but I'm really glad I went and I'll definitely be back. Walking in, the first thing you'll notice is a beautiful, large fish tank built right into the wall on your right. The restaurant is dim and upscale-feeling, but still very family-friendly and not loud or overstimulating, so you can actually have a conversation. They have both booths and tables, and the space is very open and spread out. As a parent, you can even strategically seat your family in view of the fish tank or the windows to give the kids something to look at. It's great for a casual family dinner, a date night, or even a birthday celebration. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible with no ramps, you can roll right in to your table. It's located in a plaza but set apart, so parking was never an issue. Plenty of spots, including handicap parking up front with just a short walk to the entrance. They have a solid variety on the menu including alligator bites, burgers, pasta, salads, and more. It is on the higher end price wise. Most entrees start around $14 and up, and even the kids meals begin at $8.90. The cocktail menu is extensive and the dessert menu is worth a look too. They also have a lunch menu where prices vary a bit more favorably. I ordered the Coastal Cheddar cheeseburger burger with no tomatoes and it was excellent. Very fresh, well seasoned, and served with shoestring fries that were equally on point. They also bring out a ciabatta loaf with butter to start, which was a really nice touch. Food came out quickly (always a plus). The staff is genuinely incredible. There's a tag team mentality where anyone on the floor can help you, refill your drink, or check on your table. My favorite was the Lobster Bisque. It was creamy and deliciously balanced. The clam chowder tasted like "old soup" as per my daughter's review. It was OK, but did taste like it was canned and therefore we didn't eat more than a few spoonfuls of it. (The crab and lobster soups were gone.) We both thoroughly enjoyed the gator bites. They were well prepared and very tender. My daughter enjoyed stated that she was surprised it reminded her more of chicken than what she had expected. The dipping sauce added a nice touch and was not too peppery or spicy. It was well balanced. The seafood gnocchi was filling and flavorful. My daughter enjoyed it and had enough leftover for another meal the next day. I thoroughly enjoyed my lobster roll and ate the whole thing. There was an abundance of fries, which I did not eat. They were good, but did have a bit more of a greasiness than I prefer. The drinks were typical Coke products, which wait staff were attentive to keeping filled. The ambiance is a great place for a casual quality meal with family, friends, work colleagues, or a date. The salt water tank in the "lobby" is always nice to look at. The place is always clean and well maintained. The booths are spacious and you can talk comfortably without being crowded by other patrons. I love this place because the food is always good and the atmosphere is calming with the dim lighting.
